This restaurant is a bright light at the Dorado Resort. We were staying at the Ritz Reserve, and gave it a try for our last dinner. I reserved through Open Table (the hotel "butlers" are also very helpful with all Dorado reservations-whether Ritz operated or private if you text them), and they also arranged a golf cart to take us the short ride from our room down to the restaurant. The entrance is gorgeous! It reminded me of time we've spent in pretty sumptuous hotels in the middle east, with uplighting and swaying palms. We all took in a breath of appreciation. The restaurant is beautifully appointed, wrapping along side a sparkling pool, and there was great (not too loud, but setting a great tone) music on the sound system. Our hostess was engaging and explained everything very well. We enjoyed everything we ordered, from the Mediterranean sashimi (light as air, with grapefruit citrus), to the spaghetti Bolognese (generous!), to the lobster ravioli (perfect amount of calabrian chili heat and salty accent caviar) to the salt encased branzino. After amuse bouche and some complimentary appetizers sent out by the kitchen, there was sadly no room for dessert. This was a wonderful meal for pacing and conversation, good for date night or celebration with family. This was also a thoughtful meal, with lovely interactions, delicious chocolates with the bill and the forethought on the part of the restaurant to ask about (and arrange) our return trip by gold cart to our rooms .
