We've been searching for new bathroom flooring and decided to check out Flooring For You in Brownsburg. The store is easy to find, and it sits on North Green Street next door to Applebee's. They carry a large selection of beautiful waterproof flooring, carpet, and area rugs. We were greeted by two friendly clerks as we entered. After discussing what we needed, she directed us to the correct side of the sales floor. I was very happy with the waterproof flooring selections I found throughout. The samples are large, and the description, dimensions, manufacturer, and warranty are on the back of the sample flooring. They allow customers to take samples home to view in your lighting and decor. You have to provide a valid credit or debit card, which they put on file. It is destroyed when the samples are returned. I first took 3 samples home because I was certain any of the 3 would be perfect. Well, that was a bust when I placed them on the bathroom floor. All 3 would have worked if necessary. However, something didn't feel right. So I returned the samples and brought home 3 more, and 2 of the 3 were perfect, so I wanted to test the lighting throughout the day and night. The good news was that the flooring brand I selected was on sale and saved us some money. I made my final decision and we ordered the flooring. They told us the flooring would take 10 days to arrive. When the clerk wrote up the order, he informed us of a $100 shipping fee. My husband would have walked out, but he knew I wanted the flooring, so he paid the statement. The flooring arrived within 10 days in perfect condition. I can't comment on their installation process because my husband installed the flooring. They were great to work with, listened to my concerns, and addressed each of them. The samples are larger than the other stores we visited. The sale was helpful, and several of the name brands were on sale when we ordered our flooring on May 9, 2023. I will return to Floors For You when we replace the carpet in 2 of our bedrooms. Shipping fee or not, it was a simple, stress-free process. Check them out. read more

I reached out to FFY in March, 2024. Colleen was good and patient with my mother as this was an insurance claim and my parents wanted me to be there when they went to FFY. I got into town in May so we went to FFY. The first sample we saw was perfect. We were also shown a second because Colleen though the second would hold up better with our rolling chairs. We chose the first. The sample was at an angle and we said we like this better because of the angle and color. I took my parents check for half in a week later and signed the agreement with David (Colleen was out of the office). He got us scheduled before I was heading out of town which we greatly appreciated. When the independent contractor (Justin) arrived on June 6 he told my mother the floor was not in the contract to be laid at an angle. I called Colleen to see what happened. She said the contract did not say the floor would be angled. That to do that would cost $1500 extra (extra material and labor). I said I understood that but that I would like a courtesy discount. She said she'd call me back. When she called back she had the actual new quote (which I didn't request). I said we're not interested in the angle any longer due to the cost and not having anytime to make the decision about spending more money. She then passed me to the owner, Lori. THIS IS WHEN THE PROBLEM REALLY STARTED. Do Not Use this company due to the owner and her response and treatment of me. She said they did NOTHING wrong. I tried to explain that my parents don't have the extra $1300 to get what they thought they were getting. They were very disappointed. Lori twisted my words and said I wasn't going to pay the remaining balance due. I NEVER said that. I said it was too difficult to suddenly spend an additional $1300. I said as a courtesy for their disappointment at not getting what they expected, we'd like a courtesy discount. I pointed out that Colleen screwed up. We said we wanted it angled. We did NOT realize there was special terminology to have a floor angled (we are the lay people). Lori would NOT even admit that Colleen made a mistake. Lori yelled at me and said if we don't want the floor then just cancel (of course she never mentioned refunding the $1300 we had already paid them). Of course, we didn't want it cancelled as my parents had their original carpet torn out since February, 2024 and the basement was just cement. Most rude owner of ANY company I have ever encountered. I will NEVER return and NEVER recommend this company. We had used FFY in 2000 when building our 5,000 sq ft house. At that time Lori's father ran the company and we had no problems at all. All in all the floor and Justin the installer were great. Colleen and Lori not even being able to admit they made a mistake and the unprofessionalism of the owner made this the worse transaction I've ever encountered. BEWARE! read more

I don't even know where to start with this, but absolutely nothing about our experience here was good. It should've been my first red flag when they sent us a quote for the wrong flooring, but we wanted to support a local business rather than go through Empire or Home Depot. Here's a list of what you can expect: 1. We paid about $1k for them to move our furniture. They broke a shelf because they neglected to remove the glass first, and picked up the largest shards but left shattered glass on the shelf and floor. I have 3 cats so this was a HUGE concern for me. Additionally, they did not move the furniture back when they finished. 2. There are staples sticking out of at least 7 of our stairs that I've found by stepping on them. 3. There are pieces of carpet that are not even stapled or nailed down that you can literally just lift off the floor. 4. The trim in the kitchen is crooked, 2 pieces have fallen off and another 2 are halfway hanging off because they didn't nail it in sufficiently. 5. We were stood up twice--the first time they called us at the exact time they should've been arriving to tell us they'd be there the next day. The second time, nobody informed us and I had to call and ask when we'd get our floors finished. 6. A couple of the transition strips were not installed correctly, so they stick up and scratch the bottom of the door frame. 7. They didn't read the paperwork and ended up carpeting a closet that wasn't supposed to be carpeted--which is fine, except that it was a closet full of furniture and power tools, and they didn't return ANYTHING to it's original place, but piled it all on top of each other. Luckily nothing was damaged, but this is a perfect example of their absolute incompetence. 8. We emailed them 3 weeks ago, were told almost 2 weeks ago that somebody would be in contact with us 3 days later to schedule a time for them to come fix everything that was wrong, and we haven't heard from them. I'll be fixing it myself because we clearly aren't a priority anymore since they've already got our money. I'm so bummed about it, not only because we paid a LOT of money, but also because we wanted to avoid a big company and shop locally. Lesson learned. read more

We had them take up all the old flooring and carpet. Replaced it with waterproof vinyl. We love it! They did a great job. Reliable and professional. Cleaned up as they went along. Will use them again. read more

The carpet I selected was fine and the installers did a good job, however the customer service was horrible. I have them my phone number and asked that they call me when the installer arrives, they gave him my sons number instead. I missed the installer because of this and he had to come back. Also, I asked them about the incident my neighbor had (the sherif called her when he found empty prescription bottles behind someone's house/ turns out he had worked at her house from Flours for you and he helped himself to some of her medicine, that she thought she had put away from prying eyes). The person taking my order acted like he had never heard of that happening, but when I mentioned it again he owned up and said that had been dealt with by the police and sheriff. Then after installation(Wednesday) I called and told them I would be in on Saturday to finish paying. I went in as promised and paid what they said I owed. Then the phone calls started to my son saying the bill needed to be paid. He told them to call me and gave them my number. They called me and I told them I had been in on Saturday and paid. She said the had to investigate, called me back and said oops they told me the wrong amount so I still owed more. I told them I would be in on Thursday, they continued to call my son and also call me with the you owe us money call. Thursday morning they started calling both of us again, I got in there about 10am and paid them off. What a miserable experience, I do not recommend doing business with them. I had given them my number numerous times and so had my son, there was no reason for all of the calls to him. And I had gone in there to pay up as I said I would. read more

I usually do the work on my house. Decided to change from carpet to vinyl flooring. The salesman was friendly and helpful. The work crew they sent was great. Did a very professional job and hard working. I'm very pleased with the floors. read more

Look elsewhere. Sales staff were nice and helpful, but installer's work was very shoddy. Wrong trim was installed which was different than the type that was there previously. What's worse is that the manager came out and didn't see an issue. They offered to replace the trim if I purchased the new pieces, however I replaced it myself. After seeing the initial level of detail, there is no way I wanted them back. This was the first and last time I'll deal with this place. Stay away! read more

Floors For You - This is the poor quality work that they left for me. Improperly installed kick plate and straight cuts was only one example. - Carpeting Near Me - Brownsburg, Indiana

No showed for measurement appointment and owner tried to argue my address is wrong as did installer. Called after appointment and the owner stated that is acceptable customer service. Too big of a headache for a simple Task. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I had 2800.00 floor job done on my home in Pittsboro and the installers damaged the one board directly adjacent to bathroom they were working on. I tried to get Floors for You to repair or credit me for the repair but they said it was pre-existing. Screws for you should be their name. They are all about the almighty dollar and not doing the right thing. Think twice before going with this company. I emailed Lori the owner and she refused to budge. read more

My husband and I were shopping for new flooring. We were the only car in the parking lot. When we entered the store, a few guys were there. They seemed put out or annoyed that we were there. One actually got up and showed us where the samples were. They did have beautiful area rugs. But, they did not seem interested in our business. We received no assistance. I don't know if they thought we weren't serious buyers, but we were. We left and went to a different store, where we purchased $3,500 of hardwood floors. They don't have that big of a selection, so I would recommend that they either have great prices and/or superior service to stay competitive. I didn't see either one. read more
