Poor Craftsmanship I hired Flooring King in December 2025 to sand and finish 535 sq. ft. of hardwood floors. The initial job was left with missing coating , bubbles, and a rough, sandpaper-like texture. When Javier attempted to "fix" it, the floors ended up looking worse, with bubbles trapped throughout the finish. Avoid this company and save your hardwood floors with another company. read more

The company did an excellent job at a reasonable price in installing my luxury vinyl flooring and baseboards. The condo looks so much nicer. This is a bad Comp. to hire to do your flooring job. I hired FK to do a job and had to run after the owner Javier for months in order to close out my permit with the city. His poor customer svcs. and poor response to this matter cost me the prompt sale of my house. I had to do it on my own after not getting any response from Javier. I learned a valuable lesson here, never pay your bill in full and hold back some funds until you permit is closed out. I also learned just because you have a Jesus fish symbol on you web page does not make you an honorable and trustworthy man. I am writing this review one year after Flooring Kingdom installed waterproof vinyl flooring in my condo (all areas except the bathrooms). Below you can see photos of the finished installation. A year later and my floor still looks great! The installation process took three days. The soundproofing was placed on day 1 (couple of hours only), the vinyl was installed on day 2, and the baseboard on day 3. I try really hard to not write negative reviews, but our experience with Javier was so horrible I have to tell my story. My husband and I recently purchased our first house, and after getting multiple quotes from contractors to remove the popcorn ceilings in our living room and painting the interior of the house, we decided Javier was the best choice - he was extremely nice and promised us our job would be done by the time we had to move our stuff in (approx. one week later). The first day after we signed the contract, no one showed up to work. We should have fired him then, but he kept telling us, don't worry, it will be done on time. Fast forward to the day of move in, we show up and our entire house was COVERED in sheet rock dust from the smooth ceiling installation. There was also sheetrock mud all over our tile and closet doors. 3 rooms had been painted so far. The painting contractor obviously recognized that something was wrong because he took detailed pictures of the damage that had been caused the by the drywall/popcorn ceiling removal "experts" When we complained to Javier about the state of our house, he told us that the contract states it would take 7-10 days to complete the job, and to not worry because it just looked like a job site. Common sense states that drop cloths or plastic should be put down to cover floors and cabinetry prior to completing this type of work, and that this is not normal. The job was not done until 7 days later (14 days from the start of the contract for 7-10 days), and it was questionable. i had a friend check on the house since I was out of town and found that the floor was still filthy and covered in sheet rock mud. The bedrooms were still totally covered in sheetrock dust, there was a light that was broken, overspray from the painters on our sliding glass doors, kitchen cabinets, deck outside, some of our furniture, etc. Javier promised that this would be cleaned and he would hire a professional cleaning crew. When I returned home, All the cabinets in my kitchen were full of sheetrock dust, there were 150 lb bags of trash left on my deck outside. We also had to have the air conditioner cleaned because so much paint and sheetrock dust was sucked up into it, costing us about 500 bucks. Throughout this process Javier called us constantly (while I was on vacation) asking us to pay him, which we agreed to do when we got back in town on Monday, but told him we would likely have to subtract the amount of money it cost us to clean the AC due to his workers not turning the AC off. He argued that his guys have nothing to do with that even though there is fresh paint all over the inside of our air conditioning which is documented. Sunday night we signed into our bank account and realized that Javier CHARGED OUR DEBIT CARD for the entire amount without our authorization. When we called him to tell him he had not been authorized to do this and that technically, that is stealing, he blew up and yelled "NOW I HAVE THE POWER." At this point I am not even sure Javier has an active license. I am continually shocked that Javier will not take any responsibility for the mistakes his crews made in not covering my floors, furniture and cabinets. The paint on the walls looks great! The paint on my cabinets and deck and tile floors, not so much. It will cost a lot of money, time and effort to clean up in order to be able to comfortably live in our house. Believe it or not, this is the short version of a hellish 2.5 weeks we spent dealing with Javier. Please do not hire him, you may as well hire someone off the street to do the same work. read more

I never tend to leave reviews but this time i had to! This place is a ripoff! Javier (the owner) is just a contractor! He disreispected my mom and started screaming at her in my own house! He does not know anything about the actual work to be done! Yes he quoted us less than other companies but i see why! The wooden floor had to be done twice because the people he hired to do it where horrible! Bad finish bad color and uneven parts throught the floor! The second time they did the wooden floor the poeple left chipped parts with wholes in the wood! He came to see it and said it was normal and that the job could not be better! How can a chipped wood or a floor with wholes can be a good job ? Also replacing the carpet the left hard stuff under the carpet so when you walk you feel like there was nails under the carpet! When he came to "supervise" the work because we asked him to do so( he wanted us to pay the random people he sent instead of him making sure everything was done correctly) he came yo the house and started screaming at us saying that we where making excuses not to pay him and that he wasnt going to show again! (Have in mind thes person claims to be christian) no patience no goodexperience he does not care if the job is done roght kr not he just wants your money! We hired other guys to replace another part of he house and with the same wood the difference is enourmous! The owner was here during the job! And made sure we where happy with their job! If you want something cheap and badly done hire this guy! But honestly if you want somethi g that is going to last and be the way you want it run from javier! read more

We originally contacted Flooring Kingdom to install baseboards to our home knowing that our flooring had some issues. When Javier arrived to provide us with an estimate he explained to us what we needed and what his team could do to fix our flooring problems and add baseboards. We agreed on the scope of work and Javier told us his team could start a few days later. Sure enough the guys arrived on time and started working. After two days they added baseboards to our 4 bedroom home, fixed the flooring on our stairs and did a great job correcting other flooring issues we had. The team did an amazing job! They exceeded our expectations and we would gladly recommend them to anyone. read more

I'll have to disagree with the previous review, Javier came to my home and gave me the best quote in town for my hardwood floors, I decided to go ahead and try his company out, his workers were ready to start three days later and had the job done in two days ( approx. 2000 sq ft) I am very pleased with the results, my very old floors look beautiful and glossy, the oil based polyurethane is getting darker and giving my floors a very nice patina. I would definitely call him back, his workers were always on time, got the job done FAST, Replaced a few boards at no extra cost, couldn't be happier ! read more

Beware! Javier, told me if I'm not happy, I don't pay. That was a lie. He took me for $2600. Don't ever leave them a key! My mistake. Get every little detail in writing no matter how small. My contract is extremely vague. I now know that was on purpose. Javier, will tell you he's a Christian company. So what! Shame on him! He used products that I told him I was highly allergic to. Then covered it up by mixing a different product in 6 hours later and causing a receipe for disaster. I asked for the list of products used 3 times in a month and I was denied the information each time. Javier, not only said he was not returning a dime, but that he was not going to give us any list of products. Me and my husband both had to go to the doctor several times in addition to my hospital visits due to the high toxic fumes which caused me to suffer anaphylaxis attacts that I never had before. Thankfully I did not subject my special needs children to these fumes. Javier, knew my situation, but to save on cost he sacrificed my families health. My home uninhabitable for almost two months. I had to redo my entire wood floors again. My advice....find another company with morals. read more

Sloppy. Hired Javier to replace 24" white rectified limestone tiles. He sent degenerates to do the actual installation. They were only concerned with making quick money. Javier asked for more than half the money up-front. That should have been my first clue. They chipped almost every surrounding tile and rubbed grout into every tile, darkening the color on all the new tiles. Worst flooring job ever. Easily subtracts $20k off the value of my apartment. "In God We Trust" is a ridiculously misleading motto. read more

We drove about 40 min to get to this place after we saw their website. We get there only to find out that their address above is not correct. They have neglected to post on their website nor Yelp or Google! We call them from what was once their store, to a number outside, and reach a very unhelpful woman. I tell her about our situation and he says, "I have no idea." I ask to speak to the manager and she says she is the manager and that she is the only person there?!
