After reading other reviews, I feel my experience should be shared, as well. The salesperson came to our home, made measurements, and helped us select new laminate flooring. Within 3 months, the flooring began to buckle and split at the seams. The owner came out and came back with an installer who explained that we had purchased the wrong type of flooring for the job. Naturally, the owner wanted a chance to review the sales order and get back with me. After several phone calls, no solution was offered that wouldn't cost me a lot of money. No customer should pay a company to fix their own mistake. Lesson learned, always have an installer measure and suggest the flooring right for your home, not a salesperson. read more

I've gone back and forth about writing this review because I do love the finished product. It's just getting there and all the damage done to get to the finished product that I haven't been able to get over. We bought new carpet for our bedrooms and stairway as well as upstairs and had tile put down in the entry, living room, kitchen and dining room, It looks great. I love it but I don't love what we lost or had to have repaired in the process. First we paid as part of the deal to have all of the furniture moved but we thought we would help since we were having the entire house done. We spent almost the entire weekend before the install moving what we could out to the garage. It was completely full when we were finished. All we left were the beds, chests, dressers and appliances. Everything else was in the garage. The installers showed up on time and we discussed the process and everything seemed fairly well communicated from the salesman and owner Dale to the installers. I explained that we moved what we could fit into the garage and to please keep the door down, not only because of rain but also because we have a thief in the neighborhood stealing out of opened garages. We left so we would be out of their way as they began the tear out of all of the old flooring. We returned that afternoon to find the garage door up but they had made a lot of progress. I talked to the lead guy and once again explained why I wanted to keep the door down and everything seemed to be understood. There were plenty of other ways in and out of the house. No inconvenience for them using another door they just didn't care. We left again and once again returned to an open garage. Each day, same thing. Discussed issues and door still goes up. Rain storm and door is up = water damage to several pieces of furniture. Finally after five days of work and frustrations they start to clear out one by one. As I start to look, all I could find is problem after problem, not with the carpet or floor but with the condition of my furniture and belongings. First off they didn't clean up outside after themselves. I spent four hours pressure washing off the grout they mixed on my driveway and patio and sweeping up after them. We had grout on my windows and doors outside where it splashed as they mixed it. It was all over my plants and flowerbeds. They ruined my mulch, broke one water hose and a nozzle and drove through my yard leaving a trench. This was just OUTSIDE! Inside they knocked pictures off the walls and covered it up by duct taping the frames back together. Which by the way doesn't work as they fell off the wall just minutes after they pulled out of the driveway. They broke a leg on our sofa table and scratched it as well. They scratched our dresser, night stand, and chest in the master bedroom. They chipped the bathtub in the hall bath which they did repair later. In the living room they scratched my new tv stand, picked up my leather chair with grout on their hands and I can't get the stains off. Did the same to our couches but I was able to clean them. The walls have hand prints and stains and scratches all through the house. I knew going in there would be some scuffs on the walls and things like that but I had no idea they would do the damage they did. What I didn't know is that I would have to clean my bathroom everyday after they left because it seems they couldn't hit the side of a barn when going to use our restroom. GROSS!!! From leaving the garage door up over and over again we had water damage to our entertainment center. Water was on our kitchen table one day but I caught that before it did any damage. I made Dale aware of everything and they did repair the tub but that's it. Well, I did receive an apology. I guess that makes everything better. Over $10,000 worth of floors and probably about half that in damages not estimating how much it would have cost me to have my driveway and patio pressure washed to get rid of all the grout. The worst has been the disappointment in the whole ordeal. Everyday finding a new scratch or scrap. It's just sad that for all we did to prepare I can't help but think what would it have been if we hadn't moved all that we did out to the garage ourselves. No respect for other peoples property or their hard earned dollar. I don't ever want to have anything like this done again. If anyone hears me mention remodel please just slap some sense into me! read more

Purchase floor and had it installed 2 years ago...repeated problems since. Planks continue to come apart and had large bubble area in living room. I purchased vinyl because I was told this was most durable for what I was wanting. I have dogs and was looking for flooring that would withstand potential accidents. Owner even said someone had placed pieces of this vinyl floor in bathtub with water for an extended period and the flooring was not altered in any way. So when bubble occured I was asked by owner if I had spilled something?? Wait, what, really?? Well, come to find out the incompetent crew that had installed the floor had placed the planks to tight against wall and that this is what had caused the bubble. The individual that has come out repeatedly to address these repairs has stated that for my most recent issue a full crew will need to come out because now planks are completely separating in living room. Even said that I should be compensated in some way by the owner because of the number of times he has had to come out for these repairs. Owner was to be in touch, but yet I am the one who has had to constantly call and contact owner..always hear we will be in touch within the week and nada. Now again, owner has not followed up and another week has passed by. I would never, ever recommend purchasing a floor from the Floor Store. read more

I recently had some water damage in a walk-in closet (5'x7'). I originally ordered the carpet/padding from a large box store. I was able to shampoo the carpet, but the padding was ruined. As it turns out I cannot replace the padding with the same kind, nor can I purchase anything less than 30 sq yd of padding. I happened to stop by the Floor Store out of desperation. They had some padding left from a previous job-more than enough for my closet-and kindly gave it to me at NO CHARGE. Great customer service for someone who wasn't even a customer! They are great to you in the store but when it comes to installation...very poor. We spent almost $10,000 and still have glue and footprints from the installers all over our floor. We have contacted the office several times and they sent someone out one time and he said he couldn't get the glue up and has not been back. Our floors are a mess and we are seniors and I have a slipped disk in my back and can't do what it takes to get the floor clear of glue. I am very disappointed in this company and I advise you not to use them. read more
