The team here has always been great until recently - the dynamics of this business must have changed. I had an appt for my non-Madza vehicle for a DMV inspection which took 3 hours for them to tell me it failed. Mary, my Service advisor was nice! They quoted me an extremely high $$ to fix my car. I had to go elsewhere to get things fixed. Mary had told me to comeback "anytime" for the Re-inspection and they'd check the three things & give me a sticker. When I communicated I needed a Re-Inspection they did not have anytime to do it & I'd have to make an appt. They knew I needed to get it done by a certain date or my car would be suspended but they did not seem to care. I went somewhere else & was treated much better. An extra $55 well spent!!! read more

Let's face it, buying a new(or used) vehicle from a dealership is usually not a pleasant experience. I came here after my Ford was totaled in an accident and my wife and I were interested in a Mazda CX-5. In sales I worked with the team of Lucas and Jason. They were extremely helpful while not being pushy like at the other big Mazda dealerships in the area. Since the model we were looking for was not in stock, we ended up getting a certified pre owned CX-5 rather than paying for a more expensive model that included a bigger engine or moonroof that we didn't want. Besides Jason and Lucas Cody in finance was very helpful and personable, as was Anthony who appeared to be a supervisor of some sort. Cody was not your typical finance guy trying to push us into buying ad ons that would boost the price of the vehicle by thousands. I would tell any of my friends in the area looking for a Mazda to visit Flood before going to that other large dealership that starts with a T. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Tried to speak to someone about purchasing and shipping a vehicle. After about 4 automated responses with the same message, I continued to ask about shipping. He claimed he sent me the quote but I never received it. After letting him know I never received it, the so called Director of Business Development, Jason Palmari, referred to me as "Bud" and then told me they do not want to sell me the car. This was my first time buying a new vehicle and while shopping around my husband and I went to several dealers including Flood Mazda. I really liked the vehicle, however, I was shocked by the treatment I received. When we met the sales representative, Bill, we made him aware that the car was for me but throughout our encounter he only addressed and looked my husband in the eyes, he even made the statement that only my husband would want to test drive the vehicle and not me. The sales representative also would not tell us how much they were asking for the vehicle until we told him how much we would put down. When the manager came over to meet us he reached directly across me to shake my husband's hand first and then and shook my hand, even though I was closer to him. As a first time car buyer and a woman, I was incredibly offended and angry when I left the Flood dealership. I was of the mind not to buy any Mazda after the rude and disrespectful experience we had. However, I did give it a second try and fortunately visited Tasca Mazda, and ended up purchasing a vehicle there. Really disappointing experience. After reaching out to the dealer based upon a price quoted on their website that indicate a "dealer discount" it turned out they lumped incentives and rebates and did not break out properly. There was no disclosure and their site only allows for typographical errors. Unfortunate because I was ready to lease the car at the quoted price from their website. Especially troubling was the lack of follow up from the dealer via email and being told to "slow down" when going over the particular details that are common with a lease. While visiting the dealer, the manager yelled at me the price on their website was only if I was willing to buy but not lease. Definitely didn't look like that according to their website. No incentives or rebates are mentioned in the dealer discount section and they in fact quote other incentives and rebates available in a manner that the consumer would believe could be combined. I was hoping in the time of COVID to avoid any more unpleasantness in my life but I suppose car dealers do not feel the need to adapt their sales practices to ensure a smooth experience can be had. read more

My car has been serviced here a couple of times just for convenience; however, I can't in good conscience recommend this place. Every visit leads to an upsell - suggestions about other things you might want to do for your car. On one visit, I was told that my tires were "OK", but that I needed to keep an eye on them. They had 28,000 miles on them at that point. I was also given a list of things that I might want to consider fixing when none of them were even close to necessary. No thank you. I understand the desire to be thorough, but there's a difference between giving me information and suggesting that not taking them up on their suggestions somehow makes me a negligent car owner. Add to that the fact that their overhead is quite substantial so their prices are pretty high. The repairs will be done, but they will cost you an arm and a leg. read more

The service department at Flood Mazda is excellent. The whole process is smooth. You can book your appointment online. When you arrive, you pull your car up and then they greet you and go over your scheduled service. The waiting room is beautiful and spotless! I spent a large part of my childhood in a car dealership and this is a far cry from the noisy body shop and cheap panelled waiting room I knew so well. With a variety of seating options, big windows, free WiFi, a Keurig, and free granola bars, I never mind waiting for my car. The service writers are friendly, upfront, and don't try to upsell you. Former employee. Had a former co worker that worked right next to me, drive a brand new vehicle into my snap on tool box, on my day off. I was informed the next day by the technician. Damage wasn't horrible, but due to paint not matching, to fix the damage, I was told I could trade my box in and get a new box in replacement for the damage of equal value. The technician had to pay for the damage to the new car, out of his paycheck. Well fast forward a couple years and constantly getting swept under the rug, I no longer work for this place, due to the service manager, Bill Albro showing signs of favoritism towards other co workers, even going as far as giving an (1) employee, rims and tires off of a used car, and several gift cards, meant for all the technicians. They refused to pay for any damage to my tool box and even dispute any incident, took place. The car that was damaged, incurred 2,500 dollars worth of damage, they fixed the car and unbeknownst to the buyer that the vehicle was damaged, they attempted delivery. The buyer was a little more savvy and noticed the shotty repair work, and called them out on it. I have pictures on my phone of this damage to my tool box and the exact date I was notified, I even have text message correspondence from the snap on dealer pertaining to what was said verbally by Flood Mazda management namely Russel Cuhna, and Bill Albro. This place is not somewhere I want to buy a car and definitely don't want to have it serviced there either. The foreman, the technician that gets gifts frequently, and the service manager all lied about mileage, on the foreman's sons' Mazda, so he could get a transmission replaced under warranty. Stay away!! Also zack in sales is a murderer and Flood Mazda allows someone to work for them that drives like an idiot and kills little girls! read more

This was just about a perfect car buying experience. I'm also writing this as someone who has spent my entire career in the automotive industry, from selling cars to training dealerships in processes. First off, the car was the best price I could find within 100 miles for the specific used vehicle i was looking for. I was a little skeptical at first, expecting some hidden fee that made up the difference - but nope, their standard dealer fee is lower than average, and nothing else. Being almost 2 hours away, I decided to basically buy the car over the phone, so had to put some trust in these guys to be upfront and transparent about the vehicle condition and the whole buying process. Jason(Business Development Manager) was great to work with over the phone - upbeat and positive, great personality, and laid out all of the details and answered every question I had without sugarcoating or dancing around anything. If I called and couldn't reach him, I'd get a call back within minutes. He really acted as more of a partner in the process vs. a salesperson. Couldn't have been more helpful. Cody(Finance Manager) was also very helpful and responsive. Got financing lined up quickly and everything was upfront. When picking the vehicle up, Phil(Sales) spent some time with me to make sure I understood all of the vehicle features, and was also great to work with. Bottom line, is this is how buying a car should work. My husband and I just moved to Ri from the NYC area, so we needed a car immediately. We went to Flood Mazda to look at used cars and they were able to help us find one with our specifications and price range quickly. Keith and Cody were phenomenal throughout the process. We financed through a company with which we have other products, rather than going through their in-house financing. For that reason, we couldn't drive the car off the lot right away. They didn't push us to finance through them, and when they found out that we didn't have a car at all (we didn't need one in NYC), they did everything they could to get our car processed quickly so we could pick it up a few days later. Keith even picked us up to bring us to the dealership when the car was ready to go. Since we just got this car, we (hopefully) won't need to go car shopping for quite some time, but when we do, I'll be making Flood Mazda my first stop. read more

I brought our 2017 Mazda 6 that was purchased at another dealership in for a warranty repair and Flood Mazda refused to repair it, claiming that the issue was not a manufacturer's defect. When we arrived Allan started the process with us and took a great interest in our needs, not the needs of the dealership. Allan was willing to work to get us into the right car. Mazda is not taking responsibility for a known defect affecting the cars ability to shut off in the cx5 models. Because this is not considered a safety issue (it will just leave you stranded when your car battery dies) Mazda is ignoring this known defect. Flood mazda, where I have been a customer for 10 years was no help with rectifying this situation and instead advised me to take it up with corporate. Run! They do nothing but lie, string you along promising to make good but never do! Sold me the CX5 with a feature that come to find out was never compatible with the model! Needed a new battery every year on a brand new car mind you. Crazy excuses I was told: leaving my phone charger plugged in even without charging anything drains the battery; I don't drive the car enough/put enough miles on it annually to the batteries Mazda installed at manufacturer are not strong enough to handle the load & that should I need to buy another one I should really consider buying a marine battery! They damaged my car while there for a few months - they filled it in with "factory touch up pen" it's Orange my car is red - my grandchild could have done a better job. They promised to have it fixed at body shop but never followed through. I've had the hood fly open directly 4 after leaving there service department. They never fixed the dent they made on hood near latch either. I could go on and on but I think you get pretty good glimpse of how they run their business. Run fast & far away from Flood Mazda or there parent company Flood Auto Group in general as the corporation itself did nothing to remedy the situation. read more

I am rating their service department 5 stars. After moving to Florida and using a different Mazda dealership (Rhode Island owned). I couldn't appreciate Flood Mazda more. They will not screw you over and tell you something needs to be fixed when it doesn't. They will bend over backwards for you for nothing. I can think of over three times they could have stolen my money but didn't. They always washed my car in and out every oil change. They kept track of the oil changes for me to make sure I got my 5th one free. I get none of this at the Florida Mazda dealership. I miss them so much! I also bought my pre-owned car from them and even though the sales people can be pesky, I am so happy with my Mazda 6. I would probably drive up there to buy another car from them! read more
