I booked a couples foot massage for 50 minutes and sauna for 50 minutes and had the most amazing and relaxing time. Check in was smooth and friendly. The gentlemen at the front desk were very kind and informative as it was our first time there. We were led downstairs to our lockers and then settled in for the foot massage. Susan and Angel were great and the pressure was perfect. Afterwards, we were able to use Sauna A. It was a huge space for just the two of us! Appreciated the showers and hot sauna. Highly recommend a service with her. I don't love being touched too much, so a massage isn't my thing, but oh boy, the facial with shoulder massage, arm and hand massage, was heaven. She did some extractions for me, around my nose, and the rest of the facial was super relaxing. I'll be going back. My fave saunas were the salt rooms and eucalyptus room. Everything felt very clean and relaxing. I'm glad we ended up on a talking Tuesday.

JJ Spa was very good value for the money. It isn't fancy, but there is a lot to enjoy: a dry sauna,…read morewet sauna, hot and cold tubs, an ice room, yellow sand room, charcoal room, and my absolute favourite--the salt room, where there is actually salt covering the floor and you can lie right on it. I had never experienced a yellow sand room before either, so that was something new for me. One thing I especially liked was the temperature of the heated rooms. They were hot enough that I definitely worked up a sweat, but not unbearably hot like some other spas I've visited. I could actually stay in them and enjoy the experience. I also had the Korean body treatment that included a salt scrub, oil massage, cucumber face mask and shampoo. It was very good and completely different from a typical spa treatment. One of my favourite parts was having buckets of very warm water poured over me--it felt wonderful. My only real complaint was the treatment table. Since there wasn't an opening for your face like on a regular massage table, I had to keep my neck turned to the side while lying face down, which I found uncomfortable. I realize this is a traditional Korean spa treatment, so it may simply be part of the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have liked a little more explanation during the treatment about what was being used, especially the different oils, but the person doing my treatment was very busy and there really wasn't time to ask. I guess this is the Korean way. I don't know but wanted the authentic experience. One other thing is that I they have you pay upfront. I paid, but I did not leave a tip. I told them I would do that at the end. Overall, I really enjoyed JJ Spa. If you're looking for luxury and fancy surroundings, this probably isn't the place. But if you want a good Korean spa experience with lots of different rooms and treatments at a reasonable price, I think it offers excellent value.

This is my first time to Korean spa in Canada. I was looking for descent body scrub and this place…read moregave me the experience what I had in Seoul in Korea. The facility is dated and needs more improvement. I needed a paper cup for water fountain at relaxing room, shampoo and body soap at shower. A clock in the sauna. Receptionist was very friendly since I called them booking. The body scrubber, Cindy was awesome. I had basic scrub 30 min for $60. When the booking time comes, the scrubber came to hot tub area to call the TIME, not name. If she called your TIME, head to the bed. I was wearing swimsuits but over the curtain, Cindy asked me to change paper made panty. That was awkward experience but understand she scrub every inches. I think 30 min was good enough for it. Last 5 min, she gave me quick facial with lavender infused steamed towel and gel. And neck and shoulder massage. For spa corner, I would say the salt room is my favorite. After the scrub was done, I changed to provided lounge clothes and stayed in salt room for a while. Just lay down on the mat and let the body soak the minerals. It's bit lighting down and quiet room and perfect for napping. Slightly warm but not hot like sauna. About billing. The charge was $60 for scrub. $25 for spa facility. And paid some doller for scrub mitten that you can use next time. That was fine. When I checked in, they asked me to sign the waiver and pay. That was fine too. But tipping machine showed whole cost included price. I paid the tip against for only the scrub service. Tipping should be like that.

I have allergies so I was very encouraged to hear his conditions got a lot better from his frequent visits to Saltwonder. He also informed me how down to earth and nice the owner Naculae is so I was curious. I took one of my best friend Stan who lives not too far from his shop for a one hour treatment, and was blown away by the wonderful grounding experience. My friend was so relaxed he started to snore a bit, I went into my own meditation. An hour went by very quickly, and I noticed my nose was no longer plucked when our session was done and my breathing was way easier. The place is extremely clean and beautiful, and floor to ceiling covered in Himalayan Salt which Naculae educated us on it's incredible healing properties. The main room floor was covered in small Himalayan salt as well. It was an incredibly healing experience, physically, emotionally, spiritually. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in trying come and visit and experience it yourself. My friend loved the experience, it was my Birthday gift to him. He was pleasantly surprised by it, since it's not something he would do on his own. I am looking forward to attending sound healing events there as well as getting a massage there next time!

Relaxing! Head massages are amazing!…read more Note: This is a female-only spa. They might allow male/female couples if you ask in advance, but this policy helps prevent uncomfortable situations for staff and clients, such as random dudes on the street asking for a 'massage'. I really respect that, especially since the treatment beds are only separated by thin curtains, and you have to remove your top and wear a stretchy towel wrap, as the massage includes the neck and shoulders. Small waiting area with water and snacks. I tried the Bliss Head Spa with Facial ($318), which includes a head spa and mini facial. The space has that viral "waterfall" feature, fun to try, but honestly not as magical as it looks online. The water feature is a constant back and forth light trickle, which feels like rain on your head, and once your hair is wet, you barely notice it. Still, it's a cool experience to try at least once. Beds are comfy with cozy blankets provided. The head massage was very relaxing with great pressure, I actually fell asleep a few times. They used a mix of tools and hands, plus shampoo and conditioner (I think a treatment too?). The products were a bit too floral-scented for me. I really appreciated the thoughtful touch of a disposable plastic visor to keep water off my face, I haven't had this at other head spas before. The facial part felt pretty generic, don't expect visible results on your skin, but it was definitely soothing. They used tools like rollers and gua sha to gently massage the face. They'll blow-dry your hair afterward, but no styling, so don't plan this before an event where you need to look presentable haha, since they also remove your makeup and wash your face as part of the facial. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Next time, I'd skip the facial and just go for the head spa. Worth it for the experience!
