This bus services charges entirely to much for the low quality of service they give , paying 100$ + for a bus ride or more, to still have to ride a filthy stinky bus & get terrible service. So not worth it , go to Vonlane or Red Coach . They should have better drivers who don't harass their customers because there miserable. This driver harassed the shit out of me about a backpack, that was the correct size for a Carry on , I intentionally bought it to carry on . Because the backpack was full he felt like it should go under the bus , I told him no , it's the correct size to carry on . The he harassed everyone the entire ride about seats & everything else . He's a terrible driver & needs to be removed.

Both Vienna to Budapest and Budapest to Zagreb buses were quite bad. Wifi did not work on either and the ride was not smooth. The 2 stars I give is for the route itself: no need to change buses/stations. read more

FLIX SUCX! NOT SAFE! I was left behind at an irregular stop for a break. Driver let us out for a break. Barley 15 people in the bus, driver didnt even care to cross check the passangers. Just took off with my luggage. Costed me more than $200 to reach destination( houston to dallas 7am to 11.45am). No public or private services available around that place( no cabs no trains or no other bus stations) He gave us less then 10 min at an irregular stop( which i am not aware off)for a break at bucees gas station. I had to call the police to for help and they called a tow truck for a ride to nearest flix bus station 12pm( paid myself). Flix didnt or get me a connecting ride and aksed me to stay at the unknown parking lot for another 7hrs to next ride. Finally they told me to get a greyhound to reach destination(had to walk a mile and paid my own ticket to dallas and reached at 5pm. Flix didnt help me in anyway but just lied to submit the receipts to claim my charges later. ‐---------------------------------------------- After claiming, Their response is: We would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please note that as per our T&Cs, during breaks/stops or police checks, bus passengers are to leave the bus if requested to do so by driving and service personnel. Passengers are required to follow the break duration given by driving and service personnel during said breaks. Driving personnel are authorized to continue driving should a passenger not return to the bus after the indicated break time is over, and are not responsible for the absence of a passenger after the indicated break time is over. We, therefore have to decline your request for the refund of your additional costs. We would like to assure you of FlixBus reliability and welcome you aboard the green buses again soon. I got a highly positive experience with this company. My bus was from Panevėžys in Lithuania to Riga in Latvia. The bus driver was very friendly and he spoke my native language which is Russian while I didn't speak local language. He helped me with the luggage and taking on. Inside the bus, everything was clean and cozy. The bus is warm inside and there was a toilet inside. read more

I had the worst bus ride experience in my life. I booked a 6hr ride a month ago. Apparently, Flixbus changed the departure time to 40 minutes earlier a few weeks before the departure. They said they notified the change via email. However, the Flixbus app showed no information about the change whatsoever. The communication was extremely unclear. When I got to the bus station, I waited for 40 minutes and later on, I found out my "bus" already left 40 minutes ago. The driver of the next bus was extremely rude and refused to help me. I was left stranded with no help. The same situation happened again when I was riding back to my city. Flixbus also doesn't have a customer service line you can call in case of an emergency. They only have an online chat. Basically, they don't encourage you to contact them. This is the most awful ride experience I have ever had... Unclear communication regarding schedule changes, very inaccessible customer service, and many times they won't refund you. DON'T RIDE WITH FLIXBUS!!!!!!! read more

would give 0 stars for this bus service but 1 is the lowest one to give. I was supposed to take flixbus from Irvine to LA this morning. The bus not only never showed up, I tried contacting flixbus' customer service through both phone and their online chatbot about tracking the bus. Phone call was automated and nobody ever picked up (I held onto the call for a good 40 min or so). The online agent asked for my booking information then PURPOSELY ended the chat. Tried chatting again but the person just ended the chat again. I never figured out what happened to my bus that was supposed to arrive. Very unprofessional and inaccessible customer service. Overall flixbus sucks in terms of punctuality and customer service. Also beware occasionally purchasing a ticket and never actually having the purchase go through but still being charged! that happened to me once.. stay away from flixbus if possible. read more

We were at the bus stop half an hour before departure time. Four more people were waiting along with us. The bus never showed up. We called customer service, and they said the bus had already left and that they would not return our money. The worst bus service ever. People should boycott this company so the company learns how to treat customers. read more

I just about never leave reviews... but I had too. ZERO STARS! When I tell you these people don't give a SH*T about the situaiton, BELIEVE IT. Refund? that's a dream. They don't believe in that, I had to cancel the trip due to the air quality alert in NYC due to the fires going on, things are being canceled and it's unsafe. Did flixbus reach out to customers about any safety communications? No. Do they care to refund you do to not taking a trip that is a HEALTH AND SAFETY RISK that NO ONE knew prior to including their company, and now this unforeseen event is happening and THEY DO NOT CARE TO REFUND OR EVEN CONSIDER IT. They are happy to keep the money and give a voucher, but refund your money back? no. Disgusting. I've chatted with the agent, left a complaint, sent a refund request form, and all the same answer which is "we did not cancel, so there is no refund." So the safety and health of customers and high risk alerts at this destination is not a good enough reason? First and last time with these clowns, I will try and sell the voucher but even that I don't recommend these dirt bags to no one, DO NOT USE THEM. WALK IF YOU HAVE TO. This was from toronto to nyc as well. read more

12:51 am. I just had the worst experience with flixbus. I'm wondering how such horrible company is still in business. I booked a trip for a couple family members departing from NY... the bus which is a Greyhound operation bus was supposed to leave at 9pm initially but they sent a notification about a delay with new departing time to be 12am. the people got there around 11pm went to check in they told them that their tickets have the wrong dates, they need to purchase new tickets... like what? what do you mean? it's the same trip that was delayed! They missed the trip without any clear explanation of what happened. Just terrible. read more

I wish there was a "no star" option here; Flix Bus is the worst I've never seen. I booked round trip for my daughter from Austin-Houston, TX. From Austin to Houston delayed two hours, and the worst part is when we dropped her to bus stop in Houston, the bus didn't show up...there was a contractor with much smaller bus, as a result there were more than 50% of passengers couldn't get on the bus. No notifications no email nor re-schedule at all. I can't believe such unreasonable company can run business in the U.S. We end up driving my daughter back to school and have to return right away. We will never consider Flix Bus again because of the terrible management, and the worst service for no where you will experienced. read more

During sub-zero temperatures on Christmas Eve, we (and 60 others) waited for the FlixBus in downtown Chicago. It didn't arrive. No notifications of delay or arrival time were given. Customer service did not answer phones. 2 hours later, the email came saying the bus was cancelled. No explanations were given. No offers of refunds, only suggestion of a voucher for future trip. FlixBus was our last resort to travel from Rome to Naples. Our train was four hours delayed due to a fire in Firenze and still wasn't solved by the end of the day, so we were ultimately just glad to get where we wanted to go. However, I would never choose FlixBus without this kind of time-pressured lack of options. Here's what you need to know: - The tickets asked us to arrive 15 minutes prior to boarding. The bus was late by 5-10 minutes. This isn't awful, but after the train debacle it was enough to make me nervous. - There was no semblance of boarding process. Expect to push and shove your way to the front of a clump and put your bag in a bin wide open to the world with no protection or checks at all. - When we had our ticket scanned, the initial employee said to take our small roller bag up with us and put it above our seats so we did. When we got off the bus, the driver yelled at us that it should have been below the bus. - DO NOT PAY FOR RESERVED SEATS. Total scam. They will do nothing to honor the reservation without a fight. We paid for 4D and C and there were two people sitting there that insisted that there were no reserved seats. If there were no other sets of two seats together available I would have fought it, but I decided to be nice. The bus was pretty grimy and the seats were uncomfortable but I didn't expect much on that front. Would not recommend. read more

I used to love using the Flixbus it's very affordable and convenient. However this last trip was ridiculous. On the way to my destination the bus driver that was picking us up didn't even want to open the bus for us to put our luggage in the cargo space so we had to load the bus with all of our luggage. Then she proceeded to be on a personal call for almost the whole ride and the bus broke down on the freeway. I sat in the front of the bus because I am traveling with a kid an for connivence loading and unloading when the machanic arrived he was checking on the bus an informed the driver she had ran out of gas. All of this was just on the way to get to my destination. Now on the way to come home I did not receive any emails or text notifications about my bus we arrived at 8am to wait for the bus to arrive at 8:15 am upon arrival the stop is on a busy street an homeless we're asleep by the stop. The bus came at 8:14 so we then proceeded to get out of the car an the bus blows by didn't stop or slow down. When I called to tell customer service what had happen they then proceeded to te me that the bus had already left, I said im aware hence the reason for my call! So here we are stranded. read more

Would give no stars. Terrible service, mostly awful drivers with bad attitudes, and useless customer service reps. The busses are ALWAYS incredibly late and then when the driver does finally show up, they're rude to the customers who have been waiting for god knows how long. Don't bother requesting a refund because their customer "support" team will give you the same generic response each time - claiming they have investigated your trip and deny there was ever a delay or issue and refuse to give a refund. I have made the mistake of giving this company multiple chances and have never once been satisfied with my trip (or gotten picked up on time)! I've been riding with MegaBus lately and have had absolutely no issues. do your research and find a company that cares about customer satisfaction. read more

Use any other bus company. I did not have a good experience with them whatsoever! My sister and I were booked for a trip from Houston TX to Dallas TX and the bus never came! It was booked for 5:35, but we arrived for it at 5:15. When I called, they said the bus came at 5:55 then when I called again they said the bus came at 5:25. Both untrue. One of the passengers had been waiting outside since 4! I spent a total of $90 on ubers, then $66 on this bus company. I told them I needed to be refunded and to be booked on the next bus and they told me that it was not possible. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, they told me again that it was not possible. All my efforts were pointless. I wish I just used Megabus to be honest. Heed to the advice of others on this platform and use a different bus company. read more

I recently took FlixBus from Lyon to Annecy and then from Annecy to Geneva. I was really impressed by its service during the entire process and still feel grateful for how FlixBus made my trip smoother and more enjoyable. I booked FlixBus online and received e-tickets, luggage labels and instructions in email instantly. The instructions with exact locations of the bus stations on both ends of the trip were super helpful. I also downloaded the app and found the same information there. Few days before my trips, I received email reminders for the trip and tips. At both Lyon and Annecy, the buses came up to the bus station very on time (15 minutes before the departure) and the bus drivers were super friendly and helpful with the luggage. FlexBus stopped at the very central station of each city which made my arrivals very convenient for the rest of the commute. The bus in Europe is bit different from buses we saw in the US - the restroom is not in the back but downstairs in the middle of the bus. After each trip, I received surveys to follow up with the service. You can't imagine how affordable and convenient FlexBus is in France - 9 euros from Lyon to Annecy, 5 euros from Lyon to Marseilles, and less than 5 euros from Annecy to Geneva. I once thought my experience with FlexBus was just perfect and bookmarked them for my future travels for sure. I was bit surprised to find the consistent bad reviews of it on Yelp. Maybe the French section is just exceptional than its local services in other countries? Anyway, I really hope FlexBus can come up with the level of its services I found in France in other countries, especially in the US, because its really the kind of business in huge demand. read more

After my ride on 04-24-2022 from Houston to New Orleans, I will not be riding Flixbus. Your drivers are rude as hell. Driver was already an hour late and an attitude. I always take Flixbus when I travel to Dallas , Austin and New Orleans but this is it for me. The driver used so much profanity and my 71yr old mother and my 6yr old grandson was ride with me. My wife and I had reserved a trip from Amsterdam to Bochum at 20:15, on 27.08.2022. I received an SMS stating there would be 25 minutes delay meaning 20:40. we were at the departure area 15 minutes earlier at 20:25. However, the people at the departure area told me that your bus has left here at 20:15 without the mentioned delay!!! After we missed my trip BECAUSE OF FLIXBUS's FAULT, I tried to contact them. There is no hotline for emergencies and this is horrible. I tried to chat with the customer service agent (Dimitrije) in the cold weather after a really tiring day, but he told me we could not believe you and you should buy tickets again for the next trip at 22:15. Absolutely worthless help service, and didn't help at all. So I had to wait 2 hours in the cold weather and buy two tickets for 80 euros for an indirect 6 or 7 hours trip, considering that our original ticket was 32 euros for 3 hours trip. They told me that they pay my original 32 euros back but we paid 80 more and waited 2 hours in cold weather and finally had a much longer trip! read more

Don't take it, they are going to leave you at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. Oh, and the customer service did not want to refund me the ticket, because they are only going to reimburse you if you would have taken a public train or a bus. Well, the only way to leave a gas station in the Autostrada in Italy is with a private car. What a scam of a company. read more

FlixBus is garbage. They made an extra stop for no reason and wont Notify you about the stop when you're purchasing. There are plenty of good, reliable and direct buses NY to DC and this is not one of them. Also, never enforced any mask policy even though they claimed to be COVID guideline safe. Nope. Ive taken the bus many times from Vegas to Cali and a friend has taken it from Vegas to AZ. Its super inexpensive and timely. Just make sure to buy in advance and add them on facebook. They will send you discount codes worth $10 off for their service and the tickets are around $10 so youre just paying processing fee of about $2. Thats a steal if you know how to work the system. The app is pretty easy to navigate and pretty nice since it saves your ticket on the screen and you dont have to keep logging in to retrieve it. It provides more informative than Megabus app in regards to pick up location of the bus at certain stops and terminals. The only negative is the cancellation policies and the terribly hard uncomfortable seats. The cancellation policy is plainly stated on the website and when you call just push any button and someone will pick up. I was surprised at the efficient nature of how they spoke. Either cancel and rebook using the credit they give you minus $5 or continue with what you booked. Well, the ticket was $3 so id just be losing money to rebook it. In regards to seats they arent the most comfortable. I couldnt last longer than 4 hours on them and even then i was glad the trip was over quickly. Not as cushy as Megabus but with power outlets under every seat, inexpensive prices and toilets on board Id book them again for a quick getaway. read more
FlixBus: The bus that never showed and will not give a full refund. I was excited to try FlixBus when I saw ads on my Facebook. They seemed like an up-and-coming company from Europe trying to establish themselves in the United States. I was traveling from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and I liked how they were by the Cal Trains in SF and that there was a stop closer to home in LA. I waited for the bus last Saturday, 7/21/2018, and it never showed up. There were several other rides waiting and we had just seen Megabus depart around noon, but we were excited about taking a new bus. After over three hours, the bus NEVER SHOWED UP. The other passengers, who I met for the first time, and I tried calling to no avail and we managed to reach their support from Facebook messenger and posting on their wall. We were told that the bus would be coming and that it is stuck in traffic. The FlixBus App was supposed to inform us of where the bus was, and the customer service kept repeating that the bus is in traffic and advised us to wait even though they had no information available to them, not even able to contact the bus company they are contracted with. What do you do? Well, Megabus had buses sometime after 3 PM, so we had to purchase new tickets for the other bus company. At this bus stop by Cal Trains, we would wait on the sidewalk in the sun with no ready access to food, water, and restrooms; we each took turns leaving the stop to get food, water, or use the restrooms and promised each other that we would not let the bus leave without us. We were strangers, but we shared the frustration and anger. So the trouble does not end there. I sent complaints on the website and submitted a request for a refund. I received an e-mail that said I had to prove that I did not get on the bus, and that seemed insulting considering it was their bus that never came. Fine. Then they only partially refunded me. I called and spoke to someone who said that they cannot refund the service charge. I sent a follow-up e-mail expressing the frustration caused by this incident and also read from their website that my rights as a passenger were violated if they adhere to those rights in the United States. I have not heard a response yet and all this for $2. They welcomed me to try again in the future and apologized for that as a new company in the U.S., they were unable to deliver the needed information. I'm also upset because I was told to wait for the bus that never came, not informed of accommodations, and they should have offered a full refund so we can make plans on staying in the city another night, taking a later bus, or taking another bus company. MegaBus is at least well established by now and they even have signs of where we should be, though I had to pay more. Had I known, the extra cash would've been worth avoiding this fiasco. I'm glad they were responsive on Facebook, but ultimately they could not help with the bus that was lost or with the refund. They also deleted my Facebook comment posts...if you couldn't reach them by phone or messenger, what else can we do? So in a nutshell, Flixbus never showed and refused to give me a full refund. I'm still working on the issue on Day 6, and I'm not just fighting for $2...it's the principle. What company does this? Just avoid the headaches and try an established bus line if you're looking to travel. No, no, no to Flixbus. ***update (within two weeks) After all the exchange we had, they refused to refund the $2 service fee, citing their Terms of Services that it is non-refundable. However, because they failed to deliver their service, that fee is "unearned," at their fault and they are not in compliance with their own Terms. I was able to obtain a refund from PayPal and the dispute was resolved in my favor. read more

This is the worst transport system that I've ever seen with quality value and service. You have incidents where people are being left at by a driver who hears them screaming. They continues to proceed to fall off. You have drivers there are times when they are 50 below and he has the air blowing and did not turn on heat, you have the operational company of universal denying people access to ride. The bus after complaints are made on their drivers passengers are being left out at night from the denial of a bus driver that was complain on by a passenger. At a BART station at 9 PM at night stranded having to figure out how to get back to a totally different city that they reside in. This company has taken money after the complaint was made on the driver and did not refund the passenger for the five days that was paid in advance after they was informed that they were denied Access to the bus. This is not a transportation company that she would want to take the risk of your safety. You're integrity, your money and your peace dealing with this type of structure. And if I could have read this company without giving you a start at all, it would have definitely did something that I would have done. read more

Sadly, Flix STILL Doesn't Care About Customers They promised me that they were going to call me back and to do something significant to make up for my wife and sister-in-law's Vegas Trip fiasco. When I called them twice to follow up they told me to fill out a form for a refund but never sent me the link to do so. Am saddened and disgusted that companies like this exist. This was my FIRST TIME using Flix Bus. I am from Canada and this was my first solo trip to LA. I decided to use flix bus to go on a small vacation to Vegas. Everything went well, it was affordable, and I got to the pick up location 15 before departure. (WHICH THEY RECOMMEND AND ASK FOR). my departure was at 12:45 and I was waiting there at 12:30. at 12:33, I got the email saying our bus was canceled. everyone was there snd no one knew what to do. Had no choice but to Uber back home and cancel my Vegas trip. I was fortunate enough to have a place to stay, but some people who were waiting with me had no choice but to spend 500USD to uber to vegas or last minute find a hotel room. I called them and asked for a refund and a reimbursement since I had to uber there to the pick up and then again back to my friends place. They only gave me a partical refund. I was also expressing my feelings towards the customer service man and I said how this was 'ridiculous stupid' he got extremely upset with me and told me if I used the words one more time he would end the conversation. I didn't even use inappropriate language. So, not only did I have to cancel my Vegas plans, I had to throw away 50$USD on Uber and the 4$ they would not want to refund me. overall BS. Would not recommend and customer service is horrible. read more
Unpopular opinion, I prefer Flixbus over train travel. I'm not a backpacker or a hippie. I bring in 1 piece of luggage that I need to check in on flights(high maintenance woman here). On Flixbus I don't need to sit with it right at my feet, or need to hope I find space on the luggage cart rack for large suitcases. They simply store it under the bus. The prices have always beat the trains as well for me. I also have never been on a bus with crying babies or kids running around. On almost every train it has been like that (probably because the trains offer better deals for people traveling together). A huge plus on the bus is that there are AC vents!! On most trains now you cannot open up windows! A huge plus in the summer. I took Flixbus on 3 routes when I went to Europe this summer. The routes I took were not super long....Munich to Salzburg, Munich to Schwangau, and somewhere else lol. Mine all took off on time and I got to my destinations on time. The only route that I had to share a row with was to Schwangau. That route was really popular at least when I took it because the train from Munich to Fussen was getting repaired or something so had I taken the train it would have been 2 trains and double the time. The perk with taking the bus instead of the train was also that it takes you straight to the ticket office not to Fussen Station. The cons for me: On one route the wifi was down which I expected because many reviews mentioned problems with the wifi. They also do not list the stops before your final destination. I would love to see what the stops are as well as to see if there is a break. Not sure why they don't share this.I do agree that there cancellation policy is stupid in that you only get a credit voucher that expires. I'm not opposed to getting credit however the fact that it expires is ridiculous especially if you are an international tourist like myself only going to Europe maybe once every 2 or 3 years. Tips: For whatever reason booking from another country outside the US's website is cheaper and they include checked in luggage. There are also often promo codes sold on Ebay which I used for each route (not a huge savings but paid for the snacks I brought with me on the buses lol). Would I take a bus over a long haul destination? No, but I also wouldn't take a train either if I could fly. I'm a budget traveler but I will always take comfort and a good night's sleep over saving a little extra $$. read more

Beware! They Cancel Bus Routes, Never Tell You, and then Refuse to Refund. I booked a Anaheim to Las Vegas trip a month in advance. When we went to the stop, there was no bus. We waited a while and no bus showed up. I went inside the transportation center to ask about the bus, and apparently, the bus does not exist and hasn't existed for weeks. I never received any sort of notice or cancellation from FlixBus, and in fact have confirmation emails from Flixbus the day before and the morning of. I tried calling their customer service number a dozen times, but it simply did not work. It would redirect you to a German robot who then hung up. There was no way to reach anyone on FlixBus. In the end, we had to drive ourselves to Vegas. Afterwards, I submitted a claim via email, and they refused to issue any sort of refund. I think I just got scammed? read more

My sister booked a ticket from Las Vegas to Anaheim. We got to the Anaheim station and discovered there was no FlixBus bus arriving there. The station had canceled all FlixBus services the week before. My sister was already IN TRANSIT ON THEIR BUS. I called customer service (assume in Germany) and was assured her bus was indeed coming to the Anaheim address that night. No. No. No. Instead they took her to Los Angeles and dumped her out onto a deserted back street right outside THE CITY JAIL. She pleaded to be allowed onto their connecting bus for San Diego and dropped off anywhere in Orange County along the way. Which was much closer to her ticketed destination as that San Diego bus passes right through Orange county. They refused. So: She sat terrified and shivering in the back alley dregs of L.A., surrounded by vagrants as we raced over fifty miles to find and retrieve her from that FlixBus debacle. Her and I have been making the Anaheim-Las Vegas run between our homes for years via the (always stellar) Lux Bus. She though she'd give the new FlixBus a try. How bad could it be? As we were heading back home with her, she got an update on her phone asking how much she enjoyed her trip to Anaheim with them. They still had no clue. FlixBus? FlixBus? I'm usually a lady but pardon me please while I spit on the ground. read more

They not only won't reimburse me any or all of that uber cost. Terrible company and terrible way of dealing with broken down bus situation. They certainly lack and customer satisfaction. Such a disappointment!! read more

Our party needed to change our reservation so, we cancelled our first booking and received a voucher. I entered the voucher code which was not accepted, but my new payment sure was. Now, I've been doubly charged because customer service (or more accurately, customer disservice) advised me repeatedly in the same exact words (reading from a script which indicates that our situation is their stock-in-trade practice of giving a voucher code but not honoring it) that there was no way the voucher code could be entered after the purchase. In this day and age, that is complete rubbish. If this company has the ability to do online bookings, it also has the ability to adjust and amend those bookings. I will continue to post this review on as many websites as possible and will contact CBC Go Public! UPDATE as of today: Flixbus will not apply the voucher to my booking but said they'll take my comments into account to improve their service. In other words, it's a PFO reply from the company. So much for their commitment to improving. Improving would mean they act honourably so I'm not out over $100. FlixBus, do the right thing and apply the voucher to my new booking. read more

Cautionary Tale: I rode with Flixbus and had my life ruined On Sep 25, 20:30, I boarded on the Flixbus at the Berlin Central Bus Station bound for Zurich Central Bus station. In addition to my checked-in luggage, I had one small waistbag/fannypack that I wore on my body during the journey, which holds all the valuables including passport, wallet with 130 euros in cash, all credit cards etc. When the bus arrived at the destination, I got off to retrieve my suitcase but left my waist bag on my seat. On arriving at the terminal stop Zurich, I walked away from the bus to take the tram nearby. About 500 meters away, I realized I'd left my waist bag on my seat. I returned immediately, the bag was gone. The bus was already loading new passengers for a new trip since it arrived 2 hours late according to the schedule. I asked the new driver, he didn't speak English and simply did not care. The 2 drivers from Berlin were off duty and went to sleep, he told me. Since this bus arrived in Zurich late, it was already filling up with passengers for the next planned trip to Stuttgart. There were a few passengers on board and I asked them if they saw anything, they told me no. Since my seat was at the mid-bus entrance by the partition board, it's directly under the surveillance camera. I believe by reviewing the footage we can find out what happened. To this day, my legitimate request has not been answered. I called the service center of Flixbus in Germany right away and told them the whole incident, believing that in this mostly timely manner the bag can be found easily found without too much trouble. How wrong I was! The simple, automated line designed to pawn off passengers which the guy on the line, in his most indifferent tone, must have repeated a thousand times before goes, and I quote: submit the loss&found form! My 5 day trip to Zurich was naturally ruined. I made an official police report in Zurich with which I later returned to Germany as a kind of explanation for not having an ID when passing the border control. I specially mentioned the surveillance camera which could be used to discover the whereabouts of my bag. 5 days later I embarked on my return trip with Flixbus. It was a red-eye ride and I had to change midway for a train in Heidelberg. Due to the enormous stress and emotional fatigue endured thanks to the ruined trip, I left my suitcase uncollected when I got off at my stop. I soon realized the mistake minutes after the bus drove off and immediately called Flixbus help center, the only advice they provided was 'to ask someone you know to pick it up for you along the stops the bus will make on this trip'. I do not know anyone in those cities, to which he suggested to submit a loss and found form via their website and wait for the news, cause that's the best they can do, naturally. I came back to Berlin totally devastated. I'd submitted loss and found requests for both of my lost properties to Flixbus not only once, but three times in total, and each time they came back with the automated message: we're sorry, but we could not find your belonging. I'd paid a personal visit to their company, and the staff there, clearly underpaid and overworked, said there's nothing they could do. Nothing, not even a word of apology. The course of my life in Germany flipped 180 after the unfortunate ride with Flixbus. 2 months later, I had to leave the country for good since some documents I had was irreplaceable. I blame myself for the thrift, for having wanted to save 60 euros and made the poor choice, for not having done my homework properly beforehand. The ill reputation of Flixbus as an irresponsible, bloodthirsty company can be revealed a simple google search away, enough to discourage any penny pinchers to think twice before travelling the perilous road with them. read more

I am writing to formally complain about the unacceptable treatment I experienced during my journey on FlixBus 095 from Munich Central Bus Station to Klausen (Chiusa) on 8 March 2026. Details of the incident: During the scheduled stop at Innsbruck Südbahnstraße, Austria, the bus paused at a service station. The driver announced the break and explicitly allowed me to use the restroom for 5 minutes after I asked him in German, which other passengers can confirm. The driver was aware that I was going to the restroom without luggage and would return within the 5‑minute period. I bought a bottle of water at the station at 15:02 (transaction receipt available) and returned to the bus within the permitted 5 minutes, only to find that the bus had departed without me. Additionally, the bus left the Innsbruck stop earlier than indicated in the app (15:10). As a result, I was left stranded without my backpack, which contained my passport, wallet, and all my personal belongings. This caused not only stress and inconvenience but also restricted my freedom to travel, as I was denied access to my identification and financial means. This put me in a personally threatening and unsafe situation. I had no option but to follow the bus by taking a taxi. Another important point: FlixBus didn't mentioned in the ticket-related information that my action was prohibited. I did not expect this outcome. In addition, I called FlixBus customer service multiple times, but they could not provide any meaningful assistance. Instead, the lack of support only increased my frustration. Imagine racing a taxi after a FlixBus from Austria to Italy. I had to convince the taxi driver that I was not attempting to deceive him, with no money or ID on me, while speaking with the highly unhelpful FlixBus customer service. I had no option but to follow the bus by taking a taxi. Despite the fact that the bus departed minutes ahead of schedule, the driver's negligence forced me to arrange an emergency taxi from Innsbruck to Klausen, Italy, which cost me significantly. When we finaly intersected with the driver this was reluctant to give me access to my belongings. This situation has caused significant distress and financial burden, and I expect FlixBus to take full responsibility. read more

I have been travelling through Europe a lot in the past few years and I'm really glad that it's finally possible to travel within Germany by bus now. A fellow traveller highly recommended Flixbus to me and I found their connections perfect for a little trip through Germany so I planned an entire trip with Flixbus for me and my boyfriend. We stayed about 2 nights in each city, mostly in hostels and we also did some couchsurfing, so the entire trip was extremely cheap and one of the best travel experiences I ever had in Europe! Our experience with FlixBus was very positive. Everything worked out well and the tickets were so cheap :-) For my first booking I called the Flixbus Hotline for some help as their website is not available in English yet. Their staff was very friendly, helpful and could speak perfect English. + Very cheap tickets, snacks and drinks! + Our busses were all on time + Everything was extremely clean (I think they only have very new busses) + The drivers were great, very friendly and helpful + Free wifi + The transportation of our big backpacks was free + Service Hotline staff is great - Website is not available in English yet Here are the routes we travelled and the fares for one person: For the first part of our trip, I booked the tickets a few weeks in advance, so I managed to get the really cheap early birds fare Frankfurt Airport Cologne (5EUR) Cologne Bremen (13EUR) Bremen Hamburg (1EUR, yes! They had a special promotion or something and I got two 1EUR tickets, sweet!) Hamburg Berlin (8EUR) For the second part of our trip I booked the tickets only a few days in advance, so the cheapest tickets were mostly gone, but the full prices were still awesome (From Berlin to Dresden we took the train) Dresden Nuremberg (23EUR) Nuremberg Munich (15EUR) Munich Regensburg (11EUR) Regensburg Prag (23EUR) Prag Munich (33EUR) Munich Stuttgart (16EUR) Stuttgart Nuremberg (9EUR) Nuremberg Wurzburg (5EUR) Wurzburg Frankfurt (6EUR) I can highly recommend FlixBus and the whole route we took. Germany is a great country and it's now possible to easily travel from city to city on a budget :-) read more

I must express my profound disappointment with the recent experience I had with FLIXBUS. On the 8th of July, 2023, I, along with two other passengers, eagerly awaited the departure of the bus in České Budějovice. We arrived at the designated platform well in advance, but little did we know that this would be the start of a frustrating and unprofessional encounter. Fifteen minutes past the scheduled departure time, there was still no sign of the bus. To add to the frustration, the mobile application failed to provide any updates or notifications about a possible platform change or any other adjustments. As a result, we were left clueless and stranded, eventually causing me to miss a significant tournament I had planned for so diligently. The lack of communication and disorganization exhibited by FLIXBUS is unacceptable. As a traveler who relies on timely and accurate information, this experience left me not only inconvenienced but also with a considerable financial loss. I am genuinely concerned about the professionalism of FLIXBUS. The utter disregard for its passengers' time and schedules is deeply troubling. When customers make a commitment to travel with a company, they expect the same level of commitment in return. I am now seeking an immediate resolution to this issue. It is only fair that FLIXBUS compensates me fully for the trip that never happened, booked under reservation number 3090140303. Furthermore, I believe it is essential for FLIXBUS to take responsibility for its lack of communication and ensure that proper measures are implemented to avoid such situations in the future. In conclusion, I strongly advise fellow travelers to think twice before choosing FLIXBUS. This experience has left me with a bitter taste and has shattered any trust I had in the company's services. I hope this review serves as a warning to others, and I implore FLIXBUS to address this matter promptly and professionally. read more

On April 28, 2024, I traveled from Paris (Bercy Seine) to London (Victoria Coach Station) via a FlixBus service, with a departure time of 10:15 (Paris time) and an arrival time of 18:55 (London time). My booking reference number for this particular trip is 315 443 4163, route 700. Unfortunately, upon my arrival in London, I realized that I had inadvertently left my suitcase in the luggage compartment of the bus. The suitcase in question is a medium-sized black one with four wheels, displaying some minor scratches, and branded "Newcom." Immediately upon recognizing my mistake, I hastened back to the station within a mere 10 minutes, only to find that the bus had already left. Despite my swift actions to retrieve the suitcase, which included visiting the station on the evening of April 28 and again on April 29, as well as lodging a report with FlixBus's lost and found department (report reference number: 37302145), there have been no updates or leads regarding its whereabouts. It has now been more than two weeks since my first contact with the lost and found service. The inability to find my suitcase, which was left in the luggage compartment of your bus, for such an extended period is unacceptable. This lack of professionalism on your part is simply unacceptable. I vividly remember the driver who operated the route and have provided all relevant details. Despite suggesting the possibility of contacting the bus driver, FlixBus declined to do so, citing privacy concerns. While I acknowledge my own error in leaving the suitcase behind, I am profoundly dissatisfied with FlixBus's approach to resolving this matter. I believe the company's actions--or lack thereof--could be construed as negligence. Consequently, I am considering taking legal action to address this situation. read more

my trip with you guys has turned out to be one of my worst traveling experiences ever! Been on a bus from hell from Barcelona (what's the worst smelling toilet you ever smelled? For me flixbus N710 towards Düsseldorf) got physically sick of it and I'm a bartender used to cleaning horrible toilets!!. Plus I now stink sooooooooo bad that other passengers won't come close and probably think I'm incontinent so yeah feeling great. As cherry on top I booked a ticket for 40 minutes after arrivel in Amsterdam since you guys are never more than 30 minutes late but now am delayed again and send a message on Facebook about my connection. And it seems that you guys are not responsible for me missing my transfer in Amsterdam because of bs reason the nice girl (Linda on facebook) had to give me. So we go from boasting about being on time to not taking responsibility for a 40+ minute delay on a 3 hour and 40 minute trip (assuming my math is correct and I miss the flixbus in Amsterdam) boasting about service where you straight up endanger people (yes the ride were a boy got a seizures from the smell) and your bus drivers (both) did nothing! Tought BHV (dutch for company first aid) was something they would need as well but you guys are welcome since I have mine and together with some passengers could stabilize the guy and see him off in a ambulance. Oh and please stop advertising that you have wifi now in my 7th flixbus in 8 days and only one had (sort of) working wifi. So here is what I would like. Man up and take responsibility!

I used FlixBus to get from Ljubljana to Zagreb and then Zagreb to Budapest, and was very impressed with the service. Both buses had a good wifi connection for the entire trip, and both had bathrooms on board. The Zagreb-Budapest trip was a longer one (5 hours) so they also had food and drinks available on the bus to purchase and stopped us at a cafe halfway through in case anyone was hungry. While the bus trip was better than I anticipated (especially because the cost of the tickets were cheaper than anything else I had seen), but how they deal with cancellations and changing tickets is actually why I wanted to write a positive review. On the day of our trip from Ljubljana to Zagreb, we found out we needed to get to Zagreb earlier than we thought so we could drop off our luggage at the bus station luggage hold before it closed. FlixBus had an earlier bus to Zagreb that day, and we were able to cancel our original tickets, get a voucher for the full cost of the original tickets we cancelled (sent to me immediately by email), and then use that voucher to book the new time, all of which was incredibly easy to do on the FlixBus App through the "rebook" option. They also allow mobile boarding passes (also through their app), which was great because so many bus companies require a printed ticket which general isn't possible when you're travelling and don't have access to a home printer. Overall, I would highly recommend FlixBus! read more

I had the worst travel experience of my life with FlixBus. My trip started at the Miami Beach (Newport Beachside) stop, which was already a confusing and poorly marked location. The signs could easily be mistaken for the hotel's shuttle, and the lack of clear instructions in my confirmation made things worse. The bus passed right by me at the stop while I was standing there with my luggage! Determined not to miss my trip to Orlando to meet my family for our Disney vacation, I had to chase the bus down in a car and catch up to it at a red light. When I approached the bus, the driver immediately started screaming profanities at me, addressing me in the most disrespectful and racist manner, calling me by my skin color and using offensive names. It was shocking and humiliating. I felt incredibly unsafe, but I had no choice but to get on since I had already paid for my ticket. I had even paid extra for a seat upgrade, but when I found someone else sitting in my assigned seat, the driver refused to assist me. His hostility throughout the experience made me feel completely unwelcome and uncomfortable. FlixBus's lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency is appalling. I would never recommend this company to anyone, especially if you value respect and safety. Avoid FlixBus at all costs! 1/5 stars, only because 0 stars isn't an option. read more

Had a horrible experience with Flixbus!!! I was supposed to board the bus around 1am at the airport in Amsterdam. First the bus was late (which is understandable) but then when the bus finally arrived and I was trying to get on board my printed ticket or the ticket sent to my email would not scan. I showed both my printed ticket and the ticket on my email and everything was okay but for some reason my name was not in their system and they would not let me board the bus. I was trying to reason with them but I was told there must be a problem with the payment and still they would not let me on the bus. So I slept at the airpot in Amsterdam while trying to figure out what to do. It has now been a month and I have emailed flixbus 4 times. After the 1st email I got a reply a week later telling me to explain the situation better because they could see that my name was in their system. I replied to this email with and got a reply blaming me saying that I had missed the bus because it was late and other people had boarded the bus. Since then I have emailed them 3 times and have not heard anything back! I decided to share my experience in case people are trying to decide between bus companies I would say do not choose Flixbus unless you want to be left stranded somewhere in the middle of night and not receive any help regarding it. read more

I'm absolutely disgusted by the experience I had with FlixBus and the way they handled my complaint. A few days ago, while waiting at the Broxden Park & Ride, I mistakenly boarded a bus headed for Aberdeen. The driver's reaction? Completely rude and dismissive! Instead of a polite response to a simple question, I was met with a condescending and aggressive tone, embarrassing me in front of other passengers. And when I reached out to customer service to report this unprofessional behavior, I received a generic, computer-generated response that did nothing to address the issue. Clearly, FlixBus doesn't care how their customers are treated. I've used FlixBus multiple times in the past, but let's be honest, the only reason I tolerated their poor service was the cheap price. The internet never works, the toilets are often out of service, and the buses themselves are filthy. I could overlook these things for a budget-friendly trip, but dealing with rude, disrespectful employees is where I draw the line. I've deleted the app and will never use FlixBus again. If you're traveling in Scotland, I highly recommend Ember, which offers a far better and more professional service. Do yourself a favor and avoid FlixBus--it's simply not worth the trouble. read more

FLixBUS hires racist bus drivers. Welcome back to Germany!

Mein Fazit: Meine neue Mitfahrgelegenheit heißt FlixBus! read more

Horrible. I would give 0 stars if I could. We went a day early to ask the bus driver if our 11 month baby could travel with a baby carrier and if he needed a ticket. He said it was fine and baby travel free. Based on that info we reserved tickets online for the next day from Luxembourg to Brussels. The next day , we artived two hours before departure , the bus driver arrived late and made us wait till the end of the queue with my baby in tow before telling us he wasn't willing to take us without the car seat even though we explained we checked the policy the day before. We then had to unpack all things from the bus. Three things. 2. It never specified what a suitable carrier or seat was for babies, if they need a ticket . We have lost 40 euros and lost time as well as endured humiliation all because we listened to one flix bus driver advice and had another horrible bus driver to deal with. I will never set foot on flix ever again. read more
