No buses came for 1 hour, even though they should come every 20 minutes. More and more people came to the busstop waiting for the bus. At last I had to take a taxi fearing I would miss my plane. No refunds available even though a employee at the busstop promised me the refund I I just wrote them an email. Overall really bad service. We took the bus to get to the airport from the city center. It departs every 20 minutes. It was a 45 minute ride and costs 12€. We took our luggage to our seats with us since the driver didn't offer to store them underneath. Everything worked out though. read more

You can purchased tickets in advance online or directly from the bus driver. The bus is located on the right side upon exiting baggage claim. Easy to spot as you exit the door. The bus driver will assist and place your luggage in the bin. The ride is approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic. The bus is clean and comfortable. There is a climate control option overhead. Normally we don't have any issues with this service, but today it was catastrophic! First standing at the designated bus stop at the airport holding our paper tickets and the bus saw us and did not stop! Wtf? When the next bus came, the driver was clearly angry and quite aggressive as he was slamming on his horn, didn't play the normal audio announcing the bus plan and then refused to get luggage out of the under carriage. He made everyone get their own luggage. We called Lufthansa Express bus and complained about the bus not stopping. The worst experience. The driver made us wait in the hot sun for 10 minutes while he sat in the back of the bus eating a bag of chips. He screamed at us in German when we tried to get on before he was apparently allowing people on. It really startled us and heightened our nerves on what was already going to be a very long travel day. He was on the phone the entire time he drove us to MUC. Cars were honking at him throughout the drive. He yelled at passengers if they didn't have the right docs to get on the bus. He made one woman pay 9 euro when she'd already had a ticket. He also yelled at some people to put masks on, however I never saw him put a mask on once. When we go to the airport we arrived at Terminal 2. We were under the impression that he would also stop at Terminal 1 because he was supposed to. When some of us didn't get off he screamed at those of us who were still there and said we had to get off. We got off the bus and he closed the door to the bus and he sped and I mean sped away from the curb. I will never use the company again. And I hope my complaint makes it through to someone that can make a difference because the drivers behavior was uncalled for and disgusting. It put a big damper on our travels. Especially when we had to walk from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1. Adding stress to travel is never welcomed. We are still in shock at the etiquette of the driver of bus 420! Do not ever use this shuttle service unless you want to risk some frustration and uneasiness to your travels. We pushed a button that we though would open the door. Apparently that was not the case. He came out and screamed at us in German. We could r understand a word he said. He went back to the bus closed the door and went and sat in the very back of the bus and continued to eat his bag of chips. We were mortified. We waited 10 more minutes in the blazing sun until he allowed us on the bus. He yelled at everyone that came on the bus about something. He also told everyone to wear a mask and yet he never put one on. On the journey to MUC airport he was on the phone the entire time. Cars were honking at him throughout the journey. When we got to the airport he told everyone to get off at Terminal 2. He yelled at everyone to get off and he sped off away from everyone at the curb. This left many passengers having to walk all the way to terminal 1 because he refused to take us to terminal 1. This was a disgusting experience and very unpleasant. It made my partner and I very uncomfortable and set our nerves very high before a very long long travel day back to the USA. We have found people here in Germany to be very friendly and welcoming but this experience was terrible and I will not be able to ever Reccomebd this shuttle to anyone I know that needs it. Lufthansa Airport Bus is THE way to travel from the airport to Munich. I am a planner by nature, so I did my research on transportation prior to going. The bus runs every 20 minutes, starting early in the morning. One way is 10,5 Euro, but a round trip is just 17 Euro and can be used at any time. This is much cheaper, and easier than riding the public transit system, and faster since it doesn't have as many stops along the way. Not surprisingly, a taxi would have been outrageously expensive. The bus was clean and warm. The drivers (both to and from) were helpful and took our luggage to stow for us. The trip from the airport to the hotel was about 45 minutes, a little bit longer on the way back to the airport due to traffic. I was able to purchase the tickets online prior to the trip and the "ticket" was the receipt I printed off when I bought them. Just pass the receipt to the driver, they initial it, and give it back. Germans are very punctual and at that 20 minute mark, the bus will depart, so we didn't worry about getting to the airport late. read more

I've used this bus service many times and never had a problem, until my last arrival in Munich last week. The driver loaded my bag, I asked for a round-trip ticket, gave him 20 Euros and never got my change, which I realized about 20 minutes after we arrived at the train station. My favourite way to get to Munich from the airport and vice versa. The shuttle leaves Munich central station every 20 minutes from the exit along Arnulfstr. (where the "Accessorize" store is). The first departure from the central station is at 5.10 am and the last is at 7.50 pm. The entire journey lasts about 45 minutes (it'd have taken 30 to 40 minutes by taxi), the drivers are always friendly and helpful, and the buses punctual. If you're unsure of where you should drop off at the airport (i.e. which terminal), just tell the driver which airline you're flying with and he'll tell you when it's time to alight. A one-way ticket costs EUR10.50 and a return ticket costs EUR17, extremely reasonable considering how a one-way trip with the S-Bahn would cost you EUR10. Besides, the tickets don't have a fixed date so it's worth buying a round-trip ticket if you know you're going to take the shuttle again. You can get your ticket online or from the driver. Note that the drivers don't usually speak very good English. Also, if you know you'll be making use of this service frequently, you could buy a 10-trip ticket at EUR75 - that makes each trip only EUR7.50! read more

The first driver was very friendly but in the middle of the trip he was changed and another driver took over. He drove terribly bad, almost crashed with another car, many of us were almost vomiting by sudden stops and sudden departures every five minutes. He was very inconsiderate with the luggage, almost threw all the suitcases and closed the door without minding that the last passenger was still half in and half out, hurting him. He has been the worst driver I have ever seen driving a bus in my life. read more
