You will not regret a dolphin cruise! The Destin Dolphin Cruise was my favorite part of my trip to Destin. It's a 1.5 hour long boat ride with about 30 people on the boat I would say (Don't quote me on the actual number.) There was a captain and an assistant who were very knowledgeable about the whole expedition. We spotted so many dolphins along the way. Maybe about 15 total unless they were some of the same dolphins we kept spotting lol. They have drinks on board too for purchase, but you can also bring your own snacks on board. read more

My family of 7 really enjoyed this dolphin cruise. I think we all agreed that it was the highlight of our vacation. Be sure to arrive 30 minutes from departure they run as scheduled. Very knowledgeable, great personalities, very patient and kind. Very safe, and were great drivers during the choppy waters. We saw a crazy amount of dolphins right up on the boat. This was an absolutely amazing experience. Boat was very clean, safe, plenty of life jackets, check-in was easy, parking on site, the customer service ladies at the check-in booth were both very sweet and welcoming. Minus the choppy water out at Sea due the hurricane coming in, this was awesome. The captain and mate were super friendly. There was plenty of space and very organized to wait for your turn on the boat. We saw plenty of dolphins out at sea but I didn't grab a photo since I was holding my young daughter. We went on the sunset dolphin cruise so it was a little longer than the average one. The captain suggested plenty of places to eat and local business vs chains so it was pretty cool. He threw in a lot of humor. They were always making sure everyone was okay to make sure no one was getting sea sick. There is a bathroom on board. Someone did get sea sick but they said it hit them out of the blue. They weren't expecting it. The mate also went around and would take a photo for everyone if they wanted with was super nice. read more

We got so lucky! Saw a huge pod of 20 dolphins. As the crew will tell you, this is rare as they were chilling around our boat for close to the entire tour. But aside from that, the crew was super friendly and helpful, and the tour or the harbor and out on the water was tons of fun. Very positive experience. And Crab Island was a special bonus, we didn't stay there but it was cool to see up close. read more

I had shopped around and stopped at this place because it had a sign advertising $20 dolphin cruises. We went at 5:45 for an 1.5 hour sunset cruise. The boat had great music, great captains, and was a nice size, big enough to not feel awkward but small enough learn things from the staff. We hung around a bunch of dolphins near the harbor (we even saw two babies) and then we went out to the gulf for some tremendous sunset views. We even saw dolphins out there. We also had a couple marine biologists on the boat as they were searching for a baby dolphin that had been seen 6 days prior with fishing line around its mouth and during this cruise it was located and we all got to be a part of that and it was amazing that this will help them in determining how to help the baby dolphin. read more

This experience was simply AMAZING and made my Birthday the best one yet! So besides the beach this was all I wanted to do for my Birthday and Flippers did not disappoint. This was our second experience with Flippers Adventures. The first one was enjoyable. This time we had two adults who had not had the experience before. Unfortunately, one had to cancel the day before due to an unexpected work requirement. When I called to inform Flippers, the response was unprofessional from the beginning with the tone used with me and ended with the person hanging up the phone on me. The other members of our group of five attended, but I did not. I am saying this to say, the customer service was poor. Maybe the person was having a bad day, but I was not until the conversation went in the wrong direction. If Flippers does not want to be informed about participants, why ask for it? read more

This was probably the most memorable and best time we had on our Destin vacation. There was enough action to be exciting and slow enough to be relaxing. Every member in our party of eight had a blast. Our excursion began in the marina with some simple easy-to-understand instructions and safety information and then we were on our way. The crew(of two) passed out snorkeling mask, fins, and snorkel. After a few quick tips, we at our first stop. The first stop was a beautiful beach next to the jetties. The water was super clear. At the end of the jetties were some neat submerged statues with abundant marine life swimming around them. I stayed in the six foot water range and saw lots of fish. Between the jetty rocks were lots of brightly colored tropical fish. We also saw a few jellyfish! Be careful! There were a lot of hermit crabs on the bottom. If you want to go on this trip but don't want to snorkel you can stay on the beautiful beach here. It is beautiful and the water is very calm. Our second stop may have had fewer fish but it was very relaxing. We saw a small seahorse among the seagrass. We saw more hermit crabs and few empty shells. It easy to lose track of time at both of these stops. We then loaded the boat for some sightseeing and dolphin watching. The captain turned on some music and off we went. We spotted several pods of dolphins. They swam behind the boat and jumped in the boat's wake. They got pretty close to the boat. We also saw several pods at a distance. My kids loved First Mate, Muffin. It was a great trip at a huge bargain. It gave us a different perspective of the area. I would recommend this adventure to ANYONE! read more

This is a must do activity for the adventure seeker. The snorkeling was just right even though the weather wasn't great and we ended up cutting out our second snorkel in lieu of seeking dolphins. It was a great choice cause we came very close to several pods of dolphins! Some even swam with our boat! read more

We did the two stop snorkeling trip + dolphin tour. I have to say it was very underwhelming. The stops were at a beaches that were gross and cloudy. Although this wasn't their fault it was unenjoyable. The dolphin tour was less than satisfactory because they only stopped the boat for 2 minutes and told us to keep our eyes peeled. Could have looked for dolphins like that at the beach for free. Also, while on the boat as I was trying to apply sunscreen, the captain yelled at me. He said it made the boat slick which is understandable, but the way he corrected me was less than respectful. I wanted to say something back to him but checked my surroundings and gathered that it wasn't the place or time since he had me on his boat in the middle of the ocean. Would not recommend. The only enjoyment I got out of the trip was the boat ride. read more

Had fun at Flippers Adventures. Was good for the price. We have snorkeled in a lot of different places so this was only average compared to others. There were a lot of small jelly fish in the water which did sting a little but nothing too bad. Amber was our helper and she was super friendly and did a good job. Captain Joey also did great driving us. We stopped in shallow waters around Crab Island to look for sea shells which was fun and then went to deeper water near a wall of rocks as our guide threw fish food towards us. The boat was easy to get on and off and the equipment was clean. They also provided anti-fog spray which was awesome!! Overall this was a decent snorkeling place for the money. read more

We just did the dolphin/snorkel trip. Let me start off with: we had booked it for a Sunday for my son's birthday. He's in the Marines stationed at Pensacola. He last minute was not able to leave base for the weekend. They gladly refunded his ticket and changed the day of the trip with no fuss! Great customer service in my book! We had so much fun! We saw fish and a nice variety at that. We saw a lot of crabs and snails too. We also got to see some Dolphins! That was pretty cool! Just got off the boat with Captain Dave and Amber. What great hosts! This was my daughters first time snorkeling. It was very organized from purchase to boarding. Plenty of seats and free sodas and water. Think they had more but we did not partake. Felt hardly any chop on this nice, large cat. We saw lots of dolphin, had gorgeous clear water a even saw a shark ...while traveling not while snorkeling...so don't freak out. They were fun and laid back. If you have ever wanted to try snorkeling but were worried about deeper reef dives.. DO IT HERE with these folks. We had 2 stops...one for shelling. Super shallow water so did not even need vests.
