We decided to switch things up this weekend and booked a sunset cruise with Cruisin' Tikis Destin--and it did not disappoint We reserved about a week in advance for 5 people (around $395 with taxes). We showed up early to grab a drink at the bar before heading out, which was definitely the right move. Our captain, Bailey, was fantastic--super friendly, gave us a quick rundown of everything, and then we were off. We cruised around the area before heading out to Crab Island to catch the sunset and keep an eye out for dolphins. The whole experience was exactly what we needed--relaxing, fun, and just an all-around great vibe. Good drinks, great company, and an incredible sunset. After the sun went down, we cruised back to the dock, already talking about doing it again with another group. 5/5 experience--highly recommend! If you book, call and ask for Bailey. They also offer daytime trips to Crab Island if that's more your speed. Pro tip: Parking is limited, so consider taking an Uber or Lyft. read more

I felt the money was A LOT for what we were getting. But we had a blast and would definitely recommend it! Our captain was 22 years old! And has been a captain for 10 years!!! I forgot his name. A great time! We had one complimentary ticket from our hotel, and reserved our tiki the same day. We were lucky they had availability for us. We went through the whole harbor, saw dolphins, caught a fantastic sunset, and went over towards crab island. It was the off season so there wasn't anything going on at crab island. Our Captain was great and knew every boat and house in the harbor. It was fun to see the harbor through the eyes of a local. She showed us all of the cool sites the Harbour has to offer and still made it to see the sunset early. Crab Island was beautiful and we had a wonderful experience. I'd give Captain Matt 5 stars! But the rest of the service 2 stars. The overall experience was a 4.5... Here's the story: Had been staying in Destin for several days and tried making a sunset cruise reservation (for just me) when it would fit in with my schedule all around the panhandle and the weather was hit or miss every day. I tried to get on one (purchase at the dock) but I couldn't get a parking spot anywhere.....and not enough time to get across the street to paid parking (requires an app) and make it back across the street, down the gravel hill, to the end of the dock to get on the tiki in time. So, instead I tried to book a Harbor Lights cruise, but no one seemed to be going and with a minimum number of people required, it wasn't until an hour before the cruise I found out (by calling multiple times, finally got a call back that there were enough people to take one out...), I had less than hour to get there and go! I found out once I met the folks who made the other reservation to meet the minimum, they had made that reservation a few hours prior - I should have gotten a call then so I didn't have to stop in the middle of my plans so I could be better prepped/dressed to go. But I made it!!! We all get to the dock and it's DARK and just a couple tikis coming in from the sunset tours.....and no one to greet us, we are all there just guessing on who to meet and where to go and what to do... As one Captain approached us, we had asked if where we go and he was a bit jumpy and said JUST WAIT HERE and so we did... and waited... Another Captain came our way and we gently asked who we ought to meet and he checked in with some folks and found that we didn't have a Captain for the evening.. NICE! But Captain Matt, although put him back to the dock after yet another tour for the evening LATE because he had to clean up after the tour he just got back from and delayed our start and had a flight super early in the morning....he took us out and was super great about it!!! when whatever other Captain didn't show!!! What a great guy - we had so much fun with him, he was knowledgeable and it was so nice of him to stay later than he was supposed to, to cover for someone else. Bring drinks/shots! Bring music! If the sound system/speakers aren't blown, it's great sound on the water and a fun mini party! I'd forewarn there are apparently quite a few communication issues within this company. But if you get on and your Captain shows up, I'm pretty sure it'll be a fun time! read more

He had great relationships with the vendors at Crab island and that made it easy for the guests to get what they would like. Fun and amazing experience. I did a sunset cruise with my friends and we had Captain Sam and Captain Kert 2! Both were super friendly and kind! Very funny and nice to engage in conversation with. Both answered all our questions and made sure we were safe the whole time. The company offers complimentary rides back to your car so that was a nice touch! read more

We loved our cruise with little Mike. Such a fun experience for everyone from my 13 yo daughter to my 75 yo mother. The weather got dicey there (coming from CA so we get anxious when we hear thunder or see lightening) and he pulled up the radar and put any storm concerns at rest... and he was exactly right. I liked talking to our guide about his fishing experience in the harbor and he talked to us about the marine life. Spotted a dolphin for us too! We had a great time. read more

I give Cruisin Tikis Destin and Captain John all five stars because this experience was unplanned and not expected but definitely one for the books. My friends and I just happened to be perusing around the back of the Boathouse Oyster Bar, when we spotted the whole tiki hut floating on the water. We booked an 8pm cruise, for later that evening which lasts around 90 minutes. It was about $60 per person, for me and three friends. Be mindful that it's a BYOB and food situation so if you want to drink it or eat it, bring it with you. They only provide the floating tiki with a captain. Before our trip, I received two more texts from the captain. The first was our tickets and the other was for the waivers, each of us had to complete and sign. The second text stated that WE MUST ARRIVE 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. The boat will not wait for you, if you are not on time. If you do not arrive on time you will be considered a "No-Show." I recommend the night cruise, if you can. Not only did we BYOB, we brought a Bluetooth speaker and our own music. We had a 90 minute, non-stop blast that included dancing and a conga line! read more

This is a great option for a date night or fun with family/friends. I booked the 6pm sunset cruise and it was worth it. You can bring your our drinks, food, etc. they will provide cups, ice and coolers. We were running a bit behind but Mike our tour guide waited (we were only 5 min late) and we hopped aboard with 2 other couples. The ride was smooth, he was engaging and he played soft rock music. The 1.5 hour tour was just enough time for us to all enjoy yourselves. There's not much to do in Destin now since the pandemic but this was one of our highlights read more

Amazing time! The best excursion we've been on in years of vacations, hands down - and we've been on a lot. We are a family of 4 with kids 7.5yo and 8.5yo and it was PERFECT. We had such a blast on our Cruisin' Tiki tours, even though it was much colder than everyone expected (cold snap in Florida). Captain Michael was informative, fun, and made it really easy on us to have a good time! We hooked up our playlist and started the dance party ASAP. Bringing your own drinks and snacks plus enjoying the sunset was a great trip, even if it was too cold for the crab island cruise. Scheduled 3 people for the 1.5 hour sightseeing tour at 10am one night before. The day of, we arrived 15-20 minutes early at the address provided. There was free parking at the address given (outside the Boathouse Oyster Bar) but this may not always be the case, depending on the season or day of the week. We followed the directions given and checked in at the kiosk. We only waited for 5 minutes before our captain arrived. Captain Kirk was awesome! Very friendly and knowledgeable. He pointed out different houses and docked on the shore for us to enjoy the beach for a bit before returning. I would 100% recommend requesting Captain Kirk. He played music for us (Rock, which we asked for), offered water and floaties to use. Very friendly guy. It was 70 degrees and sunny but still cold. I would recommend bringing a jacket. When we saw the tiki boats we were skeptical. But it was the most practical way to experience crab island. So we took a chance and booked a 4 hour excursion. Cruisin Tiki did not disappoint in fact our boat captain,Steven, was awesome. A Destin native he was knowledgeable, chatted with the guests and even gave his advice for dinner favorites. We loved our experience and were so impressed that we booked again for the next day. Our advice? Don't let the tiki hut fool you it was a perfect way to experience crab island. Just make sure you bring enough of your favorite beverage and sunscreen because you will be in the water the entire time. We highly recommend this experience. read more

We took our 14 year old granddaughter on a sunset cruise with Captain Randy last Thursday night. He took us on a tour of the harbor then out to Crab Island to watch the sunset. It was a little cloudy but beautiful nonetheless and definitely worth going! We spent some time on the Harbor Walk and watched the fireworks from a restaurant at the marina for the grand finale.
