Only reason for the 3 stars were due to the lack of soap / sanitzer in rest areas, high pricing on kids souveniers and for the unpleasant mishap with the young acrobat on stage when we attended earlier last week OUCH! Good selection of snacks and drinks at concession stand, though they still charge "precio de gringo" like other theaters. This Cinemark location only has 10 screens but if they're offering something you want to see it's worth the drive. They have updated the theater since our last visit. Now they feature comfortable recliners with electric controls. Fewer seats, but more comfortable. When you pay for tickets (in person or online) you choose your seats which are numbered. So you can arrange seating ahead of time if you have a group or family rather than wonder if you can all sit together. The theater and restrooms were clean when we were there (a matinee). Employees were not especially friendly but efficient. I would definitely return to avoid the crowds in McAllen.

For…read moresome unexplained reason someone erected a fenced pen right outside our bedroom window, just on their side of the fence. They then put three dogs into the pen, and just left them there. Someone, I guess, feeds them because you can see the food bowl has been moved, but no-one ever walks them or plays with them. They're just left there. These dogs bark constantly, day and night, keeping all of the neighbors here from getting any sleep. I am befuddled by this. It's not a kennel..... it's a school. I don't suppose they want to teach their students how to neglect animals. We have called Animal Control and the sheriff office, but so far there's been no resolution. We now, don't know what else to do.
