We love Flip Cafe! The food is delicious. They also have a great select for dessert. They have awesome pancakes.

Nice place to eat, have been here at least twenty times in the last five years. Just a heads up, if you don't like your home fries well done/burnt, just tell the waitress. Also, you can order items in half portions. The servings are rather large/generous & can be a bit much to finish. Though, you can always get a doggie bag. Never had a bad meal. read more

We stopped here on the way back to Cleveland from Peak n Peek. We drove about 20 minutes out of our way to get here and we will do it again! Everything about Flip Cafe is perfect. The service (easily accommodated our group of 6 and our server was very patient with all of our questions), the decor (super fun and cozy inside), and most importantly the menu! This is one of the most creative breakfast menus I've ever seen. The flips are amazing and the omelets are some of the best I've ever had. Great food, but has a bottle-neck in service. The food at Flip is great - it offers unique food style / selection that Edinboro doesn't otherwise have, particularly that of a small breakfast / lunch cafe. All of its food is more flavorful and vibrant than anything else in the area, which contrasts against the chains / franchises that dominate Edinboro. Flips biggest weakness, though, is its service. All of its servers are great; kind, friendly, interactive, and attentive, but somewhere along the line (in a few of my experiences, admittedly the minority) the food sometimes gets cold. Or sits under heat for slightly too long, which is upsetting for a restaurant that offers flavor and variety where most other locales do not. Other than that, it's crowded. Not a bad thing, they have limited space, but because of this don't expect peace and quiet. read more

This place had some of the best sushi I ever had, it really flipped my lid. The tall Scandinavian waitress was a little rude, having flipped me off, but other than this the service was good. I really like the shrine the Flipper the Dolphin, may he rest in peace. read more

Best food in Edinboro hands down. Their flip potatoes are amazing and their lamb burger is to die for! If you have room their cupcakes are also killer! Highly recommend the cookies and cream. I love that everything is homemade. My only complaint is that they close at 3. I wish they had dinner hours because it is difficult for us that work during the day. I'm originally from Cleveland Ohio, here in edinboro to continue my college education as a criminal justice major. I'm halfway through my junior year now and I've been a customer here since my freshman year. Even today I can remember what I first ordered on my first visit. It was the greek smash and it totally blew my mind. I've been to quite a few breakfast places in my day and would consider myself a bit of a breakfast food connoisseur, and flip cafe is definitely one of my favorites! Parking sucks though. read more

My girlfriend and I went to flips around 13:45 and waited a good 45 minutes befor someone came up to use saying that they don't seat anyone after 14:00 so we were told we won't be seated and to leave. Flips has horrible customer service how can you let someone wait 45 minutes and tell them they won't get seated. We even asked several people about being seated and we're completely ignored. That will be the last time I every go there. read more

The Flip is now serving dinner Thursday, Friday & Saturday. They have created unique, wonderful meals that change weekly. The scallops,risotto was unbelievably good! The bacon,smashed potatoes (skins on-num) were very tasty. Someone else had beef tips- very good. Other entree choices: gazpacho with garlic mussels,bangers & mash,Tikka masala chicken. Flip is a great stop for breakfast/brunch. Their breads and baked goods are house-made (dessert for breakfast!). The menu is good-sized and varied, with unique takes in ingredients and preparation for traditional dishes. And check out the specials board. Yes there's often a bit of a line, the price to pay for an eclectic dining room and made-to-order cooking, but they move it well. To travelers on I-79 up near Erie, well worth a five minute detour off the Interstate. read more

Today was our second time there but I can't honestly remember why we didn't flip for this place the first time! We shared the Quinoa Oatmeal and, Oh. My. Game changer!! Seriously. Not only was it sublime, it was enormous, and we so look forward to breakfast tomorrow now so we can finish it. The SMASH was delicious, the Beef Tenderloin omelet quite good as well, but possibly exceeding the Quinoa Oatmeal, the Cinnamon Flips were simply amazing. If you haven't had them, they're like doughnuts, I guess, but remarkably lighter and more moist, if that's possible. Personally, I'm a Mighty Fine Doughnuts guy, but in comparison these Flips are untouchable. They're that good. The menu is at once eclectic and safe, meaning there's something there for everyone, from the most adventurous foodie to Grandma and Aunt Peggy who just want coffee and eggs. They may very well have the best breakfast in the area. Now we're looking forward to giving lunch a try--I'll be shocked if it isn't just as amazing. read more

Ran out of cinnamon flips! Would like to give a 5 star, but they ran out of their famous flips! The waitress was sweet and offered to bring us some flips on the house since it was our first time. So excited! Then she told us in her 5 years they had never ran out of flips. She offered to bring a pancake or something, but I really wanted the flip experience. The kitchen may had been struggling a bit too, the guy next to me got the pierogi special and it had very burnt bacon on it. The same waited offed to replace but he tried to eat it and ended up with the replacement. In all, the place is cute, breakfast was good. But I will never get to eat that flip. So if you go, please try to enjoy a flip for me. read more

By far my favorite food spot in Edinboro! Sometimes it is so busy you can't get in so that just means the word is out. Great place for breakfast and lunch. The few times they tried opening for dinner were good too, but I don't think enough people even knew they were open for dinner since it was never known as a dinner establishment! Solid brunch spot! My son and I grabbed a bite on a Saturday morning between soccer games. Only waited about 15 min to be seated. Ordered the breakfast burrito, 2 egg breakfast, and french toast. All were very good, and a decent price. Only negative is we had to wait a bit to get our food, but that is to be expected on a Saturday morning. All in all highly recommended! read more

I absolutely love coming to flip! Their food is delicious and they are extremely creative with their menu. The venue is chill and perfect for those looking to take a break from studying. Although the hours are a bit bizarre, they don't really have much other than a breakfast and lunch menu, they probably would't make much money off of a dinner crowd. This is by far the best place to eat in Edinboro. The service I have experienced has been a bit spotty, but most of the people I have encountered have been great. read more

I have been to Flip Cafe before and the food was good and the service spotty. But I am all for a good food experience so I decided to give it another try. However, I was so disappointed in my recent experience at Flip that I doubt I will return. I arrived at Flip Cafe during lunch hour so there was a bit of a crowd - not too bad, but a few people waiting. I was ignored for a few minutes before anyone talked to me but was seated fairly quickly, at least within ten minutes, possibly less. Here's where the real trouble began. I was seated and then waited several minutes before someone came to take my order. I ordered my drink and entree at the same, as I was in a bit of a time crunch. However, at least twenty minutes passed before I even got my drink. The table next to me finished eating, changed patrons, and those new people got their drinks and I had nothing, not even a water. Finally, my tea arrived. However, after that my waitress disappeared. I never saw her again and was given no food. At least twenty more minutes passed - I was at Flip for nearly an hour with no food. What was most disappointing was that no one offered me any kind of consolation. Even if the waitress had come to me and said, "I'm so sorry, we're really packed, we'll get your food right out" or "We're sorry. If you're in a hurry, we can pack things up to go" or acknowledged me in any way, that would have been something. I know other people get complementary flips when their food is late - guess I'm not in the "in-crowd" for those. I got no acknowledgement whatsoever. I saw the waitress when leaving. She was standing by the kitchen and said, "I told them you needed your food." I said I had to go. She said, "Sorry hon." It wasn't flippant - she seemed to care slightly - but the only decent think she did was to not require me to pay for the tea. I travel to Edinboro frequently on business and wanted to like this place. But I guess this restaurant doesn't value individual customers. Go at your own risk. read more

My favorite item to order for this establishment would be the fireman phat plate. Gets REALLY crowded at peak times; you'll have to wait in line to get seated. It's very loud. Once you're seated, the average wait time to get your meal can vary greatly. But it's very friendly, the menu is huge, and it's fairly priced. I wish this place was open for dinner. read more

Cute little cafe in Edinboro. Stopped there on the way to see friends in NY. The flips are a specialty there. They are kind of like beignets. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast food at 11AMso I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came on Texas toast. The sand which was really good and had a ton of pulled pork on it. They had a dessert case filled with cupcakes, cakes and pies, I wish I would have gotten one for the road but I was full by the time I was finished with lunch. I will be going back to try other stuff on the menu and definitely a cupcake or two or seven. read more
