They are, of course, poisonous and deadly. Beware! If you walk through the property, stay off the grassy area where there are clearly marked warning signs. After inquiring further, they realized that we are the troop that had already reserved the spot. Then out of the blue I receive an email saying they will not be able to accommodate or troop due to correspondences via email. There was no explanation and they still have our deposit check. There was a huge lack of communication and Linda was very rude. Don't waste your time with this place

It was a fun experience and we decided to enroll for the school year. I absolutely love this school on so many levels. The staff are incredible. Waldorf is new to me but love the community and imagination based style of play, learning and life. They have so many traditions and events throughout the year that are magical. Nature based and a dim calm environment. The have a unique rhthym of the day that you won't find at just any school. They play outside, feed chickens, sing, open play, snack, story time, art, and so much more. I am looking forward to being part of the Acorn family for the next few years!

They get to take morning walks in nature, learn fun songs, feed chickens (and now pet the bunnies), learn how to chop vegetables, bake bread, learn finger crafts, molding beeswax, wet on wet painting, and everything about is natural. Lots of wooden toys to play with indoors & they get to wear cozy slippers, just like at home! The teachers are so comforting to the children when they need a little bit of love. My son needed that. Half way through the summer I noticed my daughter didn't want to go. I asked her if the counselor's played with her at camp and her response was "No their job is to watch us and keep us safe" no way a 4.5 year old would come up with those words on her own. She also wouldn't go in the pool (she LOVES swimming). I asked her if any of the adults would swim with the kids and she said no. Now I'm not sure if that part is actually true but I could tell she hated being there. One day I came to pick her up from camp at 4pm and all of the counselor's were sitting in a pow wow looking at cell phones. I told them a was there to pick up my daughter and one stood up and scanned the playground for what seemed to be way too long. I had to point her out so they would go get her. I decided after taking with other parents and getting their feelings about it I would just pull my daughter from the camp. I didn't tell anyone at the camp I was doing so. I got a call 3 weeks later from the office telling me they just ran my credit card for 3rd session and it got declined. I told her I thought it was really interesting that they called me 3 WEEKS after I had pulled my daughter to tell me they could t get their money yet NO ONE at the camp bothered to call those entire 3 weeks to ask me where my daughter was and if she was okay. NOPE they just wondered where their money was. NEVER going back to this place. They care about numbers and numbers only. Not to mention the person that would come get her from the car every morning was LESS than enthusiastic to be there, seemed very aloof and didn't know my daughter's name after 1.5 months. We camped at the recreation area for 4 nights and 3 days and unlike reviews we enjoyed the clean…read morecampground, open campground, less people, no noise and really good views! We lucked out with a perfect campsite which closed into what looked like a private enclosure. This gave us VIP level experience where we parked our cars to "close" our enclosure and we pretty much just enjoyed inside for the most part. The only downside was a tonne of bugs in August. Now I know the staff itself couldn't do much but the bugs were incessant. We had campfire going on for the most part which helped a lot but didn't quite think August would look as rough.

So cool sites, close to beach, close to good dining etc. the beach is awesome- no alcohol though…read more Some of the sites are shaded, others not. Electrical can be tricky so bring extension and pray or have super long cord. Only one bathroom per loop and depending where you're at not conveniently located. There are no times for cleaning of said bathrooms- one day 9, the other say10, and maybe 10:30. Guy is nice and will let you into bathrooms until he's ready to clean. They clean bathroom and showers thoroughly. The drier in the bathrooms not a great drier and no paper towels. There is only one dump station so on a holiday be prepared to wait literally 1-2 hours.East loop older- west loop newer for electrical. West loop is better for electrical.
