I understood him to say he had to order the electrical and it could be installed as early as Friday if it arrived by then. He quoted a price that was lower than other places so I pursued it. He asked for my credit card to order the parts and texted me the address. He took my email to send the receipt. The next day I had to cancel the order due to my mother's decision to not get a scooter. When I called to cancel I learned that he had charged my card for the entire job of over $539 and not just for the parts. He informed me there would be a restocking fee of $190.00. He told me this was stated in the receipt that was emailed to me. So improvements include: stating up front what the return policy is, not charging my card for the entire job rather than just for the parts, and charging for the work and the rest of the parts after the job is complete. I'm very disappointed in this business practice and would not recommend this place.

I initially spoke with Andrew, the owner, to schedule 3 movers for 4 hours with a start time of around 8 a.m. on a Wednesday. Right at 8, Andrew personally called to let me know they had run into a Murphy's Law kind of morning--the kind every mover dreads. But what impressed me most was his honesty and professionalism. A couple hours later, Andrew arrived himself with three additional crew members (including him) to ensure we were treated right. He took full ownership and went above and beyond to make the experience right. The team was hard-working, professional, and incredibly detail-oriented. They didn't cut corners, didn't stop to take breaks, and packed everything up securely, neatly, and snug. We unexpectedly needed an extra UBox from U-Haul, and Andrew didn't just suggest a solution--he drove me to U-Haul himself, picked up the pod, and after the move was done, personally returned the extra pod back to U-Haul. They worked well beyond the originally planned 4 hours without hesitation, and not once did I feel like I was being upcharged or pressured. Andrew's customer-first approach, integrity, and attention to detail turned what could have been a stressful move into a great memory. Marty recommended getting 120 pads from the truck rental company, and now I know why: if it isn't boxed or wrapped, it will end up damaged somehow. I did not get 120 pads because 1) the truck rental person I spoke with did not agree that I needed that many and 2) it costs quite a bit which I had to pay up front. It wasn't like I could just take as many as I thought I'd need and return the ones I didn't use for no charge. No, my card would have been charged and then refunded later, but who wants that hassle? So, you should probably pony up for all those pads if you decide to use this company. The movers weren't bad guys, but, I think they were in a hurry and a little careless. Our refrigerator, dining table chairs, my hope chest, and TV were all damaged either with scratches or, in the case of my hope chest and TV, broken parts. We had 3 movers and the last 2 of the 4 hours they were at our house, the third guy was mostly standing around. But, kudos to Move For Less, when we told them that was the case, they charged us the 2-man rate for 2 hours instead of the 3-man rate. Additionally, we knew the TV was broken before they left, and broken by their guys. The guys called the main office to tell them, and the management offered to give us another TV. While that was a nice gesture, we were leaving the state the next morning, and it was 7pm. We did not have time to go and pick up a TV. We would have just preferred a price reduction. So, all in all, they were okay. I thought their pricing was fair and competitive. I thought the charge for the 2-man rate was a good solution. But, I am pretty sad that our things ended up damaged in small ways. And, I think the packing of the truck could have been done better so as to prevent those small damages.

Then they refused to open the truck with our belongings and handed me their phone to talk to John who told me we needed to Zelle him $1,400 (pay upfront more than double the quote) to have them open the truck and finish the move. Icing on the cake- they broke our brand new black&decker air conditioner after dropping it while moving it out of the truck. The guy, Chris, insisted it was only scratched and not internally damaged and refused to pay for it. Also, the other mover had the nerve to call me a couple days later and complained that we didn't tip them.
