Called the office and Adam came out a couple of days later to inspect our lawn and give us a quote. After talking to a few other local vendors, we decided to go with FENIX and we are really pleased we did. Adam, Kimberley and Erica communicated really well and answered any question we had about the entire process. They provided us with a few turf samples as well as an extensive list of referral addresses we could use to inspect their craftsmanship and the quality of the installed turf product. When the day to start the project arrived, Dylan and the large crew arrived right on time as arranged and immediately got to work. They were very professional and skilled. They were able to complete the entire project in one day and cleaned up the "worksite" nicely. We are extremely happy with the entire process from start to finish and would use them again if needed and would highly recommend them if you were considering installing artificial turf for your landscaping project. Not only was the craftsmanship top notch, the value was exceptional as FENIX provided us with the lowest price of all the quotes we received.

Our consult with John was thorough, and he really listened to what we wanted. He made some suggestions, and let us know the approximate pricing right upfront so we knew what to expect on the written estimate. The written estimate included pricing for each element. We appreciated this because we clearly understood the costs, unlike other estimates we had gotten beforehand. The total price matched our expectations, and we felt very comfortable that we were getting a fair and transparent quote. Once we agreed on the plan, we scheduled the work for about a month later. John walked us through how to put plants on hold at the nursery and explained everything else we needed to know. Communication throughout the process was very clear and consistent. On all the work days, the crew showed up right one time, and John was there every morning to check on things and do much of the work himself. He also ensured we knew how to use the sprinkler timer and what the sod needed for the first few weeks. The whole job was completed in four days! The crew also left our patio and driveway perfectly clean and washed down; it looks better now than it did before. We will use Caligreen for all future jobs, and we can't recommend them highly enough!

Travis and his team just completed what was an extensive project for us. Confident the scope of…read morewhat they did is not extensive based on their other larger projects. We started with what was to be a straight forward driveway replacement. Old cracked/cast in place cement being replaced with pavers. Travis recommended lights and we agreed that was worthwhile based on the scope of what was being done, and this being something we will look at every day, multiple times per day. The pavers were also going to be extended to the front door replacing an additional old sidewalk. We didn't want the least expensive contractor. We wanted someone that was reasonably priced, who would stand behind their work. Bella Rosa is that company. The project turned out better than expected. The lights are icing on the cake. The pavers look phenomenal. All that said, there were a few hiccups along the way. Miscommunications on Bella Rosa's side related to what was discussed initially, and when the crew came out for installation. However, Travis always quick to reply, prompt to meet to work through the details and we were very satisfied. As the front was nearing completion we were so confident in Travis's team, Freddy was the foreman on our project, we added on additional things to the original scope. Including, redoing a flagstone walkway, cleaning out a side yard area, removing a layer of soil, adding stabilized decomposed granite, putting in lights along a back fence line. We can't recommend Bella Rosa highly enough. Travis and his team do very good work. And, when things come up, which is normal in construction, they will stand by their work and resolve any unexpected things. These are projects we could've DIY'd, but the result would not have looked as good, and would've required many months to complete.

I did see a few bad reviews here and there but decided to overlook them as not everybody is perfect and was hoping that the overall quality of the positive experiences and review would shine through. This was honestly the worst contractor decision of my life. Pros: -Turf work and retaining wall look clean/sharp Cons: - Sales representative Jose kept promising me 0% finance and pushed the project to start asap. He even sent his crew to start unloading stuff without telling me. - I agreed to 0% finance plan and signed a formal contract with them on it only for the project manager to freak out on me on day of the project and kept calling/harassing me to pay everything within start/completion of the project in 48 hours. A huge difference between what I agreed and signed to. I explained that their financing bank had conditional approval already and what was agreed between me and their sales representative Jose but he didn't care and said Jose "overstepped and shouldn't have said that" and still demanded I pay everything asap for him and his team or they would charge me another $700 if they had to stop and wait for finance. He kept complaining this is what the original contract started, I said yes but Jose said we can switch and signed a new contract, but he didn't care and kept repeating the first version of the contract. Jose and I had signed multiple new versions as we made a lot of new revisions to the work. Horrible communication and definitely untrustworthy right from the start. He then decided to demand the entire check upfront while we wait for the bank, I immediately said no as I don't trust them at all. What's to stop them from cashing my giant check and then a third person calling me saying Juan overstepped and shouldn't have done this or that. - I explained to them that the bank verification took longer as I owned multiple property and they needed to review everything and that I was ok with starting later. Jose insisted to start asap and that a conditional approval was fine, apparently it was not as Juan did not accept that at all. It was exhausting going back and forth, there is literally no communication at all between the two. Juan was nice in the end, he explained Jose lied to "cover his own butt". But in the end I was the person that suffered for it. Paying everything upfront is a huge difference between being promised 0% finance for 12 months. - I was hoping that the quality of their work would shine through, but the pavers damaged the side of my home and I told them but they refused to take responsibility for it. - I also paid extra for charcoal border with my pavers but they got it wrong as well. I had to point it out for them to switch it. Juan was good about it, but it is exhausting to have to watch them for everything to make sure it was right and that they are following what was written in the contract. There were other things I requested done that weren't done that I had to remind them of as well. - Cleanup after alright was 80% good. A lot of plastic bottles, gum wrapper, bottle caps, random pieces of trash and tire marks all over my driveway after they were done. - The second worst experience of this is easily the pricing agreement with them. We agreed on a price for the wall, paving and turf work. One of the addendums was to add lights with a transformer. However, after not being fully informed of how it would work, I decided to remove it. Jose told me that it would jump up the price to $2,150 and I had the screenshot to prove it. I showed Juan but he kept insisting that everything was only $1,100 and that he would refund me an additional $700 as a favor for me and to not write a bad review on everything that has happened to me. I was confused as basically the price was going up 2150 for the work but removing it only dropped down 1,100 and that I was basically lucky that he was giving me another 700 back as well. In the end, I am still negative $350 for the lighting work that I removed. The price basically increased per our original contract and Juan couldn't explain why he was still charging me that higher amount if I was not getting anything else new or in addition to it. At this point, I was beyond mentally exhausted and just agreed to it to get it over with. I was not going to post up a review online as it was just too tiring and now I am stuck looking for somebody to fix the exterior of my home after their damage -I have never thought about paying contractors less than what we agreed on for their work until I met a company as unprofessional and irresponsible as this one. Even worse, I reported this to their company and got ignored.

I had already seen Total Turf's work because they set up the Garden at the Line off Elvas/65th in East Sac, so I had them quote last so I could compare to everyone else. Tom was clear that they may not be the cheapest but that they'd be competitive and that their crew isn't subcontractors, they're part of the company. This is very clear in the quality of their work. Beyond that, the crew (Gerry, Ricky, Abel, and the guys) was incredibly polite and communicative throughout the process. In fact, Total Turf was VERY competitive with the other quotes and very clear and upfront about the process and timeline. I should also mention that we had turf installed at my mom's house down the street as well as my house. For the two houses, we did backyards only. Total time was maybe 3 days per house though they ran in parallel a lot of the time. My backyard was perhaps a bit more straightforward as it is open and was an install of the same grass across the entire backyard, however we have dogs and cats and knew that it would be subject to some pet wear and tear, so that was discussed up front to ensure we were considering the best option for drainage and sustainability. My mom is a former LPGA golfer, and we decided to do a small kidney bean shaped putting green. We knew we were not going to fit a PGA style green in the small backyard, but Total Turf designed a green with 3 holes that will absolutely serve as a competition ground for deciding who pays for dinner! Overall I'd really recommend doing you due diligence and getting the quotes you'd like and learning about the various options, but leave the last quote for Total Turf so they can show you exactly how they can improve upon those quotes, explain why the turf they use is much better, and give you an idea of where costs are crucial vs where you may be able to reduce price if you need to. These guys are subject matter experts and will really give you a better understanding of this from start to finish. In general, they're going to be priced competitively, but keep in mind that you're purchasing 15+ years of yard in cases like this. Additionally, you may check to see if your local city orgs provide a payment for removing yard and replacing with drought-resistant solutions. You will not regret using these guys. If you look at my pictures, clearly our elderly dog, Dozer, is very pleased with the change (he naturally looks disgruntles bc he's old)!
