Especially gained a lot from her level of attentiveness to each person there. She gave a lot of helpful cues to improve form and endurance throughout the class. It's clear she's been doing this a long time I embarrassingly almost collapsed from dehydration after I finished my first class (which was my fault for over dressing and under hydrating). I felt safe and accommodated because of instructor and fellow students so that really added to my impression of the studio

I was next to a man who was shirtless (all the men were) and it was gross to have a sopping wet person literally inches away. Come in, try a few classes a few times - and find which one suits you the best. Speak to the instructors and get to know them. The classes range from restorative and gentle to more physically challenging- but most of the instructors use their intuitive sense to do what is needed at the time. So be open to a variety and be open to working on your mat if you are in a class that is different from your expectation. That's part of opening yourself up for positive change and growth. My favorite part is the HIIT Zone which includes all sorts of equipment to spice a workout up including punching bags, sleds, and TRX bands. Any piece of equipment you need, they have! Also, I dont ever have to wait for any equipment. There is plenty to choose from. Never have I had to wait on a line either for this gym, like others that reach capacity! My biggest worry when going back to the gym was the cleanliness but rest assured this Crunch has a sanitizer going around any time I am there! All parts of the gym are kept cleaned including the bathroom. Crunch has done a great job making sure all members are masked and complying to rules. P.S. If you get a chance to try those hydro massage beds, do it They're a savior after a workout!

I just moved out to Long Island from Brooklyn a few weeks ago. I wanted to find a place to…read moreseamlessly transition my Bikram practice - and I'm so glad that I found Ash. I was immediately welcomed by the friendly and encouraging staff and felt so at home! I've taken 6 classes so far and I'm hooked. If you're a Bikram practitioner of any level, I recommend Ash - they have a variety of teachers, but they're all versed in the Bikram dialogue. Colleen, Heatherly, Marissa - whether you like the 60 minute express or if you brave the 90 minutes, they've got you covered and you'll leave sweaty and rejuvenated. The studio is well heated and there's plenty of space - I've felt amazing from the very first class! They have a ton of other heated and non-heated classes too which I'm excited to try (but I am a bit of a Bikram loyalist at the moment). Only critique would be that they don't provide towels or mats so you have to bring your own, and the shower situation isn't great - the bathroom is small so there's nowhere to comfortably get changed unless you're standing in the shower. I'm coming from Brooklyn where I'm used to towels and mats being provided and the showers being really great, but that's Brooklyn where no one has a car and everyone has to take the train after class, so it's different. I'm adjusting to the Long Island life, so this isn't turning into as much of a hassle as I thought it would be. Getting in my car sweaty isn't so bad so I've been showering at home after and it's fine! I love Ash Hot Yoga, the teachers, the other students, the atmosphere, the availability of classes, and the you-are-family, everyone-is-welcome-here vibes. I'm so glad I found them and can't wait for more.
