During our whirlwind of a weekend visiting NYC, my husband and I woke up on a Saturday morning and…read moredecided we could both use a little bit of yoga to start our day... We searched Yelp for a nearby studio with a class that was appealing and we found that this new Midtown East CPY studio had a Core Power Yoga 2 class that morning... we weren't sure we'd make it, and we walked in just a few minutes before the class started, but the ladies at the front desk worked with us to get us registered and into the class and we were so appreciative. Kelsea W was our teacher and she was fabulous... she had some unique sequences that allowed my mind to focus on the present moment and just move / enjoy the class. Needless to say, it was exactly what I needed! The studio itself is spacious, offers lockers, bathrooms, water refills, a bit of a retail store, mats, towels, and more... So yes, CPY is a chain, but it's consistent and if you find the right teacher / class, you'll get just what you need in that moment. Thanks again, Kelsea!

There's people of all levels and abilities in the room so you don't feel out of place. it's a bummer that they don't really have towel towels available for showering afterwards. I did feel like there was a lot of hair. It was on the shower wall and on the floor in the studio and outside of my studio. Be sure to bring everything you need because towels and mats are additional. If you forget something, they definitely have everything there for purchase the unisex bathrooms have a toilet sink and shower each with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, Q-tips and tampons- no hair ties here. There are also plastic bags to put your wet workout clothes in, but you might miss them because it's on the first floor on a side table with stickers and signage. I would definitely check out their other classes. I did this one through ClassPass but I know they have promo deals all the time and I love hot yoga in the winter.
