She's even done a session with me that was almost exclusively stretching, which I thought was fantastic! Ali really encourages looking at the body as a whole, for overall wellness and continued health, not just the massage for the day. I was there at 10:00 on Monday morning, and Kimberly greeted me at the door. This is a small business run out of a private home, and the service is very personal. Kimberly took the time to ask me where I needed work and what moved me to make my appointment (i.e. were there any particular recent exertions on my part). I got the best massage I have ever had. The experience was what you would hope for in a therapeutic massage--quiet music in the background, care for your modesty, and most important of all, really good hands. Incidentally, this is a therapeutic massage, so if you are looking for something else, go somewhere else. Kimberly was very professional throughout. I have no experience with Kimberly's business partner, so I cannot speak to her abilities. That said, I can highly recommend My Massage Lady. The work Kimberly does is very good, and the price is unbeatable. I am used to paying $1 per minute for massage, and she substantially undercuts that rate, at least for now. I imagine her rate will go up as business increases. Even so, I can certainly recommend her.

The small building behind the house- the ambiance is very relaxing with soft music and lighting. Kim takes her time asking about problem areas that you may have. The utmost professionalism in taking care that you are comfortable and relaxed. Therapeutic massage at its best. When I began seeing Kim I had recurring neck and lower back pain. Since I have been seeing her I am virtually pain free. She is a master in my book on working on deep tissue issues that you may experience. Her price range is extremely reasonable and she doesn't allow tipping so there is no ambiguity over the price. She is a hidden gem. I highly, highly recommend her to anyone seeking an awesome therapeutic massage experience.

She has great massage skills and is very knowledgeable about how to use the skills to address physical problems or discomfort. I'm an old guy in my 70s and I asked for a two hour massage. About 15 minutes after we started I realized how good Anna was and asked if we could do three hours. I have found that when a good therapist has pleasantly of time they came slow down and work the muscle groups longer. When done I felt 15 years younger (if only I was LOL). Anna did wonders for my feet, legs and hips where age and wear and tear of the years nag me constantly. Anna is gifted and has a good, gentle way about her. I told her she gets a million gold stars.

I just "won" the lottery that allows me to run the 2013 Houston Marathon. I've done this before so I know the score - I'll need someone to unknot my body-in-training after those long weekend runs in the fall and winter. In pursuit of a solution (using Massage Envy is a bit like playing Russian Roulette here) I started to "audition" massage therapists. I first looked for a convenient location near where I work in the Galleria Area and found that the first Google search result for "Houston massage" was Houston Massage by Sonya. I inferred from her website that at least she knew what she was talking about and scheduled an appointment via her online tool. I was more than pleased when, two days later, she got her hands on me. In the big scheme of things for a 53-year-old, I'm in pretty good shape, but she immediately sensed and understood where my trouble areas were (a minor misalignment of the pelvic girdle and somewhat shortened deltoids) and modified her approach accordingly. The massage was simultaneously effective and pleasurable, a result that more often than not does not occur when the therapist is working with deep tissue. I definitely know who my go-to-girl is going to be when my Marathon training starts in earnest. P.S. You might want to discover for yourself why she is known as the "Goddess of the glutes..." Note: As of the date of this review (10-Jul-2012), the map showing the location in Yelp is incorrect. She is located on the Southbound access road of the West 610 loop between San Felipe and Westheimer. The visitor parking is free there.
