I didn't know what to expect when I arrived to Flesk Caravan Park as I had never been camping before. I guess if I am honest, I was expecting some nightmarish scenario, which included me washing myself from a bucket. Thankfully The Flesk was an absolute dream.
Not only do they have the cleanest toilets I have ever seen; I am not joking they are sparkling, but you can shower to your heart's content for a mere one euro. There's even washing machines and a little sink to clean your plates and cups. For the environmentally conscious camper there is a sizeable recycling depot just by the toilets and not a pick of litter to be seen on the campsite.
The other people who were camping there were lovely, and I saw so many people leave their tent's wide open for hours on end, such was the feeling of community amongst the people there.
This camping site was brilliant and I would definitely recommend it to those going on cycling tours, or just couples. I did notice that there wasn't a games room or what appeared to be a working tv, so might be hard to keep the kids happy if it's a rainy day!
For safely reasons etc, the camp gates close at 12:15 every single night, which means if you're going out for the night, you can't bring your car, and must instead use the side entrance.
