I recommend you STAY AWAY from this shop! I took my 6.0 Ford truck to Rob for ARP head studs and some other work. We traveled about 4 hours from our home to have the work done. 2,600 miles after he did the work my truck started leaking oil extremely quickly. Sent Rob pictures and he told me to take it somewhere local. Turns out the oil filter cap was cross threaded and the o-ring finally failed, there were bolts broken off, bolts not installed. A lot of very sloppy work. There was an alarming amount of metal shavings in the filter area. I have pictures of my cylinders that Rob sent me and commented how you could still see all of the original cross hatching, and his comments about what amazing condition my motor was in. I have oil analysis before he did the work. After some back and forth Rob agreed to reimburse us for the corrective work. We tried to be very kind. This is a company truck and I was without my truck for two weeks waiting for the corrective repairs. I should have rented a truck and charged Rob for it, but didn't. We sent Rob the final invoice, which was less than the original invoice he agreed to, and which he said was fair. Now he is not returning calls, texts, or emails. We have archived all of the emails and messages, and have pictures and videos from the mechanics that did the corrective work. It now appears we will have to take legal action against Rob and Fleet Services Northwest to get them to do the right thing, that he had already agreed to do. It's extremely disappointing. I highly recommend that people avoid this shop.
UPDATE: I finally heard from Rob. I sent him an email stating we were leaving on a trip November 1st and if we didn't receive a check by October 31st we would ask our attorney to start the legal process. Rob finally replied and said he is mailing a check on Monday the 29th, via USPS. Obviously he isn't too concerned about making sure it get's here by the 31st. He replied (I kid you not) that HE get's to decide when to pay the bills. He obviously doesn't care that I DIDN'T get to decide when my truck would puke oil all over my driveway and in my garage, and WHEN I would have to go 2 weeks without my work truck, all because of his sloppy work. I tried to be kind and didn't rent a truck for the two weeks, though in retrospect I probably should have. He has the nerve to reply that I need to be an adult and not contact him any more, after he goes for so long without replying about when we could expect reimbursement. All of the correspondence has been archived. I will update this prior to leaving on my trip if we have actually received a check prior to leaving.
2nd Update: I did not receive a check and have had the mail checked after we left, and still no check. Mistakes happen, but apparently Rob does not stand behind his work. He has lied and said his insurance company would call me, and then, after agreeing the charges to correct his work were fair, he lied again and said he would mail a check. We will now have to take legal action against him.
