Now is the time to stock up on potatoes! You can go once a month for a bag of food, twice a week for produce, and twice a week for bread and bakery. The bag of food they gave me contained three types of frozen meat, a Haggen's sandwich (not expired), and pizza among many other staples. I really appreciate these folks who really stepped in to help me and my wife in times of financial strain when we cannot buy food. So thank you Help House for being an angel in a time of need.

She looked very visibly angry when saying this. I apologized and told her that I genuinely thought this was one of the racks on display in the store and backed off it. I hadn't been here before so I didn't know the layout of the store. She didn't say anything to me after that and hurried off away? I tried to go through the rest of the store but, after that the vibe was just off and I had to leave. Not sure if I will come back. At least not for awhile. Overall the store is very organized and clean. The clothing selection isn't the most stylish but, they can't help want gets donated to them. Would have liked it more if my visit had been better.

I just recently utilized one of their free services which was a "Budget For Baby" class. You can either attend one of the classes with others, or schedule a one-on-one meeting with one of the counselors. I met with Dee and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! I had a lot of "light bulb moments" during our session and walked out actually EXCITED to break down our budgeting! After the class, you are gifted with a layette that consists of a handmade baby blanket, sheets, and other baby goodies! You also get a one time pass for a thrift store shopping spree! I got bags and bags of baby clothes and other necessities. After our meeting, Dee also mentioned that they have nurses that will come to your house and help you after baby arrives. They can also take baby's measurements and send them to the pediatrician if it's too difficult to make a trip to their office for a checkup. I can't wait to utilize this service! I highly highly HIGHLY recommend that everyone look into the services they offer!
