From the second I arrived I was greeted by their friendly staff. Everyone from the folks working with paperwork to the "guides" who take you out were extremely personable. The ride and time itself on the jet ski was great! All their machines looked to be in great running order. Overall, I had no issues at all during my experience. I've been trying to contact them all week about the $500 security deposit they agreed to return upon inspection of the jetskis. They inspected the jet ski the day after we used them and have since yet to return the deposits we Booked them for an event I had last weekend. Totally unprofessional guys. After asking me to dock their skis overnight, I welcomed them to our event . Allowing them to park their skis overnight and return in the morning to retrieve them. When they returned in the morning they said they have to inspect the jet skis to ensure they in tact them he'd return the deposit of $500. They drove off after giving me the okay saying there were no problems. Hours later after nothing had been sent back , i reached out to see when I should be expecting the deposit back . They have been giving me the run around since. I've called from numerous numbers n the guy Samar has just been picking up and hanging up. This is after Samar himself gave me his word that he'd return my deposit after making up some story how he just got robbed of his phones, wallet, and such . Do not book with these guys. They will scam you out of your security deposit! Never again

It was a great combination for both the kids and adults. The inflatable waterpark kept the kids busy for the entire session. El Jefe, the large slide, and Thor, the climbing tower and slide, were our favorites. I strongly recommend booking one of the first sessions during the summer. We went early when it was less crowded, and it became noticeably busier later. In the afternoon, we completed the green and blue aerial trails. Both were a lot of fun, and the progression from one to the next worked well. Overall, River Riders is an excellent choice for families or groups looking for an active full day near Harpers Ferry.

I capsized and hit my head on submerged rocks--a dangerous hazard that warrants clear guidance and mandatory head protection. ​Zero Rescue Personnel: No river guides or safety kayakers were stationed along technical sections. When participants were pinned against rocks or stranded in strong currents, there was no staff to assist. ​Inadequate Instruction & Extreme Strain: Relying solely on arm paddling through boulder gardens offers minimal control and quickly causes physical exhaustion, even for fit individuals. ​Equipment Failures: Some tubes were punctured by sharp rocks, leaving guests stranded in turbulent water with no emergency extraction protocol. Commercial river outfitters have a basic duty of care to provide essential protective gear, clear instruction, and active supervision.
