I wanted to talk to someone that knows. (In line reviews aren't reliable). We spoke with Kelly. He's extremely knowledgeable. He measured my feet, took a "scan" of my get to show where I'm placing the most pressure. It's like the shoe stores from a past times. Individual care. Individual service. Above and beyond. However, every time I go in and there's a new sales associate they are friendly and eager to assist in finding your size or something that fits your description - either in the store or in stock somewhere else. They are willing to ship items that aren't in the store at no extra charge. It's a type of style I like and for me is a bright spot in the North Star mall. I've always found their shoes to be comfortable from the very start and don't require any breaking in period. They stand behind their products too - I once bought a pair of shoes on sale, didn't wear them for a year and when I finally pulled them out of the closet to use they had a defect - they still took them back! Also had a sports jacket that after wearing it once I wasn't happy with the fit. I mentioned I was disappointed to a clerk a couple months later and they weren't able to return it for me but they did exchange it with a different size that was still in stock at another location - it was mailed to me at no additional charge. Not a big fan of their socks but if they're on sale I might pick up a few playful designs. Belts are great but never pay full price - it's an item that's pretty much guaranteed to go on sale. I am writing this review because this review needs attention by Johnston&Murphy Shoes! I…read morefrequented Johnston&Murphy in early August 2020 (~Aug 07) to shop as I normally do. I am a passionate Johnston&Murphy Customer and have always had good experiences with them until recently! The pair of shoes I wanted to buy were not available in the store, Lacantera Shopping Mall, San Antonio, Texas! The associate stated, no problem, we can order them for you and mail them to your home no later than September 18th, 2020. Well, September 18, 2020 has passed and no word from Johnston&Murphy! Finally, I called the 800 number today, September 21, and they stated the following: First they said they had some proof of payment issues, well, that's impossible, because I paid for them on my debit card; secondly, they called me back again, after the first Johnston&Murphy Associate hung up on me; and the second associate stated the shoes will be mailed to name in 3-5 business days; 10 minutes later received another call from same Johnston&Murphy Associated stating the shoes are no longer available so we're gonna to credit your debit card account! And, I stated, WOW, it took from Aug 7th to Sep 20 to come up with this conclusion! How incompetent! The sad thing is no one bothered to contact me, at all, to inform me of the status of the backorder of the shoe purchase! Finally, beware of ordering anything from Johnston&Murphy, especially, if not available in store and they indicate we can mail the shoes to your home. The issue with this, Johnston&Murphy never attempted to contact me to give update on backorder; secondly, they gave me 3 different bogus reasons as to why I hadn't received the backorder! I will no longer be ordering anything from Johnston&Murphy moving forward. If the item is not in the store, don't order it, based on this experience! Johnston&Murphy, you need to step up your "Customer Service Orientation" Process and be true to it!

"Oh let me go in to take a look" I said to myself…read more.. One of the quickest shopping experiences I've ever had thanks to BB!!! She asked if I needed help, I explained I'm looking for a black book but I also have these feet that are hard to fit which is one of the reasons why I don't like to wear shoes (high arches wide foot narrow heal). BB picked up a black boot 8C Ariat Heritage Western R Toe with ATS technology (a little bit of cush in the sole)... the 8 was a little loose so we went with a 7.5 and my foot went right in snuggly just like a boot should, also knowing they will eventually stretch out a bit. It's a plain black boot which is totally fine, that really all I want or need. Looking at the price, it's the lowest price boot I have ever chose, seriously... OH, and it's on sale at 10% off this week??? I think we have a winner!!! I asked BB to write down the info for me. I usually discuss all my big purchases with my hubby first, as he does with me... it's a budget thing as well as showing respect for each other. He knows I have been looking for years, kind of sort of, off and on. And since the boots were $150 instead of an additional zero on the end, he was extremely happy. BB said she only works part time but I would be able to talk to anyone about ordering the boot. The one I tried on was saved for another customer. A few days later, I called and talked to Elsa. She was more than happy to order the boot at the sale price for me... said it would take about a week to get the boots in... Just in time for the rodeo... Yee Haw! Well, I called a week later and no boots... it took another week after that. No worries, my rodeo date hadn't passed yet. When I went to pick up my boots, I brought my hat to get cleaned since I noticed that they had a steamer there. The GM, Sam, was more than happy to accommodate me and clean it right then and there. I put my new boots on and walked out in them.... got to wear 'em to break 'em in! Thank you Sam, Elsa, BB... I LOVE my BOOTS!
