Fleet Feet isn't just a store. It's a start to a fun, addictive, community. I started running about 8 years ago when my wife and I were ready to have our second child. I wanted to get in shape. I went to a few stores in town looking for shoes but I kept getting the feeling that you have to be an elitist to be in the store. The employees were not helpful to my needs and I didn't get answers to my questions. Then came Fleet Feet. I met Jeremy and Leah the first time I came into the store. I came in with the same mindset from the other stores I've been to. This store was different. The employees were having fun and they didn't push you into a shoe that didn't fit right. They also offer different training programs from Walking to 1K, Couch to 5K, 10K, half marathon and full marathon training. I jumped at the 5K training because I wanted to better myself for my family. Since then I've done the 5K, 10K and half marathon training. I also help mentor many of Fleet Feet's training programs. I learned about Fleet Feet when living in another state. I was thrilled when I found out there was a location in Appleton. I was excited to have a store that I liked for what I needed. What I didn't realize at the time is that this is so much more than JUST a sports store / running store. If you are looking for a good fitting and quality walking/running shoe this is the place to go in the Fox Valley (hands-down). The service is top notch - they take their time, ask the right questions, listen to what it is you need and point you in the right direction. I am always blown away by the exceptional level of customer service I receive in your store. When I was new to long distance running, the associates really took the time to figure out a shoe that was a great fit for me. One other time after I had bought a shoe that I wasn't totally satisfied with, they stood behind their guarantee 100%. I went in thinking at most I'd leave with half of what I had paid in the form of an in-store credit. They exchanged my shoes at the value of what I had paid for them and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with them. I was extremely impressed by the service we received. We came to the store near closing time, looking for Cross Country training shoes, for my daughter. The sales person took the time to watch my daughter walk and look at her feet. The sales person noticed that my daughter's feet are prone and recommended specific shoes and inserts to help correct it. The sales lady acted more like a medical professional than a shoe sales person. We ended up going passed closing time, but nobody rushed us or said anything about it. I think I was more worried about this than anyone there. Now, we just got the shoes this week, so no record times to report. read more

Being 64 years old, quite overweight, and sedentary, I was nervous about trying to find help getting a quality fit on good shoes to continue my walking program. I was treated with the utmost courtesy and dignity. I am delighted with my new shoes and socks which have helped tremendously to eliminate my diabetic pain in my feet and allow me to walk much further distances. Great service and extremely knowledgeable staff. I bought a new pair of shoes a few weeks ago and the staff member was thorough and very nice. The shoes I ended up with were hurting, so I made a trip back to the store. Not only did I get different shoes that I love and do not hurt, the owner Jeremy talked me through some things with my running pattern he saw and helped my husband find a pair of shoes as well. The comfort, for sure. But, knowing how good for you they are is #1. Great customer service! When you had a problem with a pair of running spikes, they replaced them.They also sent an email to let us know when an in-store credit was about to expire and gave us a couple extra days to use it. read more
