So this is actually my 2nd time coming to this place. Both times has been an amazing experience. First time around they did a scan and helped me find the perfect set of shoes and inserts to treat my Plantar fasciitis on my feet and I noticed an immediate change. I could stand for longer times and it actually helped me regain my healthy life again. Second time around I took my wife in and they did an extremely thorough scan and broke down what kind of shoe would help her feet and what would relieve her pain , that she experienced. Their independence knowledge is extremely valuable and helpful. The store has a vast variety of apparel to wear for running, and inserts, and shoes. Isaac was the one who helped out my wife and he did an amazing job. He listened to all of our concerns and addressed every single question we had. My wife is excited to immediately use the shoes that were recommended. I was recommended this place by another friend and now I can see why. I made a visit to Fleet Feet to spend a gift card from Christmas. From the time I arrived they provided amazing service! The store is very nice, clean and organized. She started with a personalized fitting analysis with the coolest machine ever. It told me the size I needed, my walking points, foot width, and arch. She provided some shoe options that would be good based on this. Loved how they assist you with trying on and discussing points about the shoe. I decided on the new balance 1080 v15. So comfortable! At Fleet Feet, I received a complimentary foot scan which taught me a lot of things I didn't know about the shape of my feet (my right is bigger than the left! :o), and how I can outfit them to prevent injury. The employee who helped me was very intentional, knowledgeable, and helpful. And the shoes he recommended me just so happened to be on sale! They weren't just trying to take my money. They gave me the opportunity to try on as many pairs of shoes as I needed to until I was satisfied, and addressed each of my problems individually. A little gem of a shop! They 3D map your feet with a standy on thingy..... only takes a few moments, then you walk away and towards so the specialist can check your stride/gait/foot strike? It was awesome! Returned to this store after a few years of absence (full disclosure: lived in another State). After going to their old location, I thought they went out of business. Ever since getting my last pair of shoes, my feet have been in pain every time we did significant activity. It was honestly unmotivating to want to do any kind of excercise because the pain in my feet would cause problems all the way to my back. So finally we decided to get someones opinion who knows what they are doing. My mother-in-law came here and talked about how great of an experience it was. So we decided to come in. Their Yelp page said they were open until 7. But upon arrival, we learned it was 6 (don't worry, it is changed now). So we only had about 15 minutes until they closed. A friendly girl said that it will be no problem and was very helpful. She looked at my feet immediately and said that I needed wider shoes. So she went in the back, brought out two options, and let me test them out. She was extremely knowledgable. I put one of the pairs on and immediately felt how much more comfortable they were. They were not cheap, but well worth it. I will definitely be coming back here from now on for my running shoe needs. read more

Several years ago I went to the store in Cahaba Heights because I was having issues with Plantar Fasciitis and they were extremely helpful. Today, I went to purchase new shoes and see if what I had been buying were ok. I knew the second I walked in that I was going to have a bad experience. The lady at the register just stared the whole time..no smile, just starring..and the guy who was supposed to be helping me was looking at his Apple Watch! He brought three pair of shoes out and none fit properly but there was one pair I liked but the wrong size! I really hope neither of these people are the owners. It was not a good experience all the way around. I left, called The Track Shak to see if they had my size, which they did not, so we ended up at REI, who not only had the shoes but were extremely nice and helpful! read more

The person who helped me at the store really listened to what I was wanting and gave me a lot of different options. The best service I've gotten at a Fleet Feet thus far. I found my perfect shoe but they didn't have my desired color in stock. Instead of letting me compromise and go with my second choice shoe, they checked both the shoe brand's site as well as Fleet Feet's site. Very friendly folks at this running store It is a chain but has a local feel. I wish the store was a little bigger and in a location that was good for group runs but still very convenient to me on 280 near the water works. They offer a $15 discount for every "x" amount you spend, maybe $200? I can't remember. I've "earned" that several times now. Excellent experience! We came here to purchase shoe inserts and were assisted by Samantha - the most knowledgeable sales assistant I think I've ever encountered. She wasn't pushy and took the time to watch my fiancé's walk and to study his feet before bringing out inserts and shoes to try. She was well-versed in the plight of those with plantar fasciitis and was very informative, even suggesting shoes that they didn't stock. Shopped at Fleet Feet for first time today to get my son some legit running shoes for cross country. It was an excellent experience! Andy helped us, and he was super friendly, engaged and knowledgeable. He first did a very thorough assessment of my son's feet - took diff measurements, watched him walk around barefoot to see how his feet behaved. He used that info to pick out several different shoes/brands to try on. He wasn't pushing any particular style or brand, but just wanted to find the pair that felt "just right" for my son. We found a clear winner (Brooks brand). I was impressed with the whole process and with the quality/friendliness of the staff. My son ended up with the right pair of shoes for him - that's important because he's got a lot of miles of training/races ahead this season. We'll definitely go back to Fleet Feet. read more
