I made a visit to Fleet Feet to spend a gift card from Christmas. From the time I arrived they provided amazing service! The store is very nice, clean and organized. She started with a personalized fitting analysis with the coolest machine ever. It told me the size I needed, my walking points, foot width, and arch. She provided some shoe options that would be good based on this. Loved how they assist you with trying on and discussing points about the shoe. I decided on the new balance 1080 v15. So comfortable! Be prepared to spend money... they are not cheap but worth it! Great experience overall and loving my new purchase. read more

So this is actually my 2nd time coming to this place. Both times has been an amazing experience. First time around they did a scan and helped me find the perfect set of shoes and inserts to treat my Plantar fasciitis on my feet and I noticed an immediate change. I could stand for longer times and it actually helped me regain my healthy life again. Second time around I took my wife in and they did an extremely thorough scan and broke down what kind of shoe would help her feet and what would relieve her pain , that she experienced. Their independence knowledge is extremely valuable and helpful. The store has a vast variety of apparel to wear for running, and inserts, and shoes. Isaac was the one who helped out my wife and he did an amazing job. He listened to all of our concerns and addressed every single question we had. My wife is excited to immediately use the shoes that were recommended. I was recommended this place by another friend and now I can see why. I highly, highly recommend to come here to anyone else! read more

I'm here in Birmingham visiting for the week and due to ongoing plantar fasciitis pain, I decided to check out Fleet Feet here instead of waiting until I return to Augusta. The young girl that helped us was very helpful and knowledgeable. She was very attentive. She took the time to try a few sneakers on until I found what fits best. It wasn't as expensive as I heard it was. The prices are very reasonable. read more

I walk a lot, and being older, I need shoes specifically for walking. Also, being from 100 miles away , I called ahead of time to ask specifically what they recommended. Sara was point with suggestions, and when I did visit the store, fitted me and put me in a specific shoe that fit my needs. Additionally, she steered me away from some of the newer, faddish shoes, which I appreciated. I have shopped at many, many places for shoes, this store was my very best experience. Jay, the owner, is also a 5 star!! Buy there, you will not be disappointed. read more

i went in here not knowing what to expect. i've never really have had my feet "analyzed" and properly fitted and that's exactly what they did. they didn't have any shoes in store at the time to fit the needs i was looking for, but the service i received was exceptional from brad. i left having better knowledge of what i needed in a shoe for trail running. i'll be ordering my next pair from fleet feet just because of the service. it's easier to make decisions on which shoes to get when you know what your feet need. go here if you need help!!!! read more

Came in for our bi-annual stride scan & running shoe upgrade. We normally go to Fleet Feet Tallahassee, but decided to check out the Birmingham store, since we live about halfway between the two. We were very pleased with the speed & professionalism of the staff. Andrew did an excellent job taking care of my wife & myself. He was prompt, courteous, & professional throughout the experience, & we left with exactly what we need to keep running! Run to live, live to run! read more

I was months and miles overdue for replacements for last year's New Balance shoes. I've been fitted for athletic shoes from Fleet Feet for my previous three pairs, but I wasn't ready to go in person for a fitting. Besides, due to new franchise ownership, the Birmingham location didn't yet have my preference for New Balance shoes in stock. One phone call to very friendly and helpful staff was all I needed to order what I needed. I wanted to be sure to make the purchase through the local store rather than ordering online through the corporate website. The salesperson guided me to order using fleetfeetBirmingham.com which was just what I did. My shoes arrived, and I'm already adding daily miles to my new sneakers. In person or online, Fleet Feet delivers excellent service! read more

Had a great experience at Fleet Feet! I am a beginning runner who knows very little about my feet and had been having problems with shin splints, plantar fasciitis, and blisters. At Fleet Feet, I received a complimentary foot scan which taught me a lot of things I didn't know about the shape of my feet (my right is bigger than the left! :o), and how I can outfit them to prevent injury. The employee who helped me was very intentional, knowledgeable, and helpful. And the shoes he recommended me just so happened to be on sale! They weren't just trying to take my money. They gave me the opportunity to try on as many pairs of shoes as I needed to until I was satisfied, and addressed each of my problems individually. A little gem of a shop! Pro tip: They have you take your socks off for your foot evaluation, so make sure your feet are ready to be seen! Mine weren't. :/ read more

Awesome experience at Fleet Feet today! Customer service up front and honest! The shop seems pretty small but they have more than enough room to get you a pair of awesome kicks!! They 3D map your feet with a standy on thingy..... only takes a few moments, then you walk away and towards so the specialist can check your stride/gait/foot strike? It was awesome! Jay Middleton was the operator helping us. Oh it was my wife that went in to get running shoes.... and I got a pair as well.... haha! I can't really talk about the shoes yet but the experience finding the perfect pair for me reduced to trying on 5 different pair instead of endlessly searching..... read more

Returned to this store after a few years of absence (full disclosure: lived in another State). After going to their old location, I thought they went out of business. To my surprise, they simply relocated and are now in a stellar location. As expected, the staff was SUPER friendly, and service was superb. If you're not familiar with the type of shoe you need, they are here to help. What also impressed me was that they keep your information on file (even after all these years), thus making your shoe buying experience that much easier and faster. Ended up buying new shoes, socks and making new friends. If you're looking for great service at a great price, then this is the store for you. Happy shopping! read more

I was having knee problems and run for exercise. My shoes ended up being a huge part of the problem so I came here and they were amazing! I am so thankful for their guidance. My knee issues were 2 years ago and my running shoes I was fitted for at fleet feet have almost solved the problem. They watched how I walked and ran, determined pressure points, and recommended 3 different shoes in 3 different price points. The best advice I got was "Choose the shoes that you won't have to 'get used to'." Thanks for spending time on improving my health and overall quality of life, Fleet Feet. Now I'm running outdoors and enjoying 4-5 miles each time I run! read more

Best experience ever, they really know feet! The technology they have to measure your feet and review how you walk is amazing. Based on his findings, Brad brought out shoes that he thought would be best for my situation and boy did he nail it! I spent months searching for the right running shoe and failed, until this appointment. I highly recommend Fleet Feet, the customer service is excellent and tailored to your needs. They really go above and beyond to help you find the perfect fit! read more

Ever since getting my last pair of shoes, my feet have been in pain every time we did significant activity. It was honestly unmotivating to want to do any kind of excercise because the pain in my feet would cause problems all the way to my back. So finally we decided to get someones opinion who knows what they are doing. My mother-in-law came here and talked about how great of an experience it was. So we decided to come in. Their Yelp page said they were open until 7. But upon arrival, we learned it was 6 (don't worry, it is changed now). So we only had about 15 minutes until they closed. A friendly girl said that it will be no problem and was very helpful. She looked at my feet immediately and said that I needed wider shoes. So she went in the back, brought out two options, and let me test them out. She was extremely knowledgable. I put one of the pairs on and immediately felt how much more comfortable they were. They were not cheap, but well worth it. I will definitely be coming back here from now on for my running shoe needs. read more

Excellent customer service from the owner, Jay! He helped me find a pair of shoes to help me with my back pain. I've never had an experience like this at a shoe store before! Looking forward to running in my new comfortable shoes. read more

Sure some people are gonna say... 5 stars doe a shoe place.. Those people don't run 5+ miles a day and literally bout blood sweat and tears into their shoes! The customer service is top notch! No other place around takes the time to understand your fitness level, gate, and preferences. They take the time to understand you and provide you with the shoes that are best for your feet, distance, and activity level. Locally owned and operated this is the kind of place were you get your shoes for years and years! Thanks for the happy feet! read more

Great experience, especially since they let me return a pair of shoes I got 3 weeks after purchasing and even wearing. Exchanged them for a different size with no problem. Alex helped me and she was very nice. read more

I wouldn't even give one star but you have to choose something. I was so disappointed with my experience today. Several years ago I went to the store in Cahaba Heights because I was having issues with Plantar Fasciitis and they were extremely helpful. Today, I went to purchase new shoes and see if what I had been buying were ok. I knew the second I walked in that I was going to have a bad experience. The lady at the register just stared the whole time..no smile, just starring..and the guy who was supposed to be helping me was looking at his Apple Watch! He brought three pair of shoes out and none fit properly but there was one pair I liked but the wrong size! I really hope neither of these people are the owners. It was not a good experience all the way around. I left, called The Track Shak to see if they had my size, which they did not, so we ended up at REI, who not only had the shoes but were extremely nice and helpful! read more

Great service, friendly staff. I wear Diebetic inserts ands It is hard to get fitted correctly. They let me try shoes out for a week or two to make sure I am fitted properly . No problem with returns. Happy customer!! read more

Very friendly folks at this running store It is a chain but has a local feel. I wish the store was a little bigger and in a location that was good for group runs but still very convenient to me on 280 near the water works. They offer a $15 discount for every "x" amount you spend, maybe $200? I can't remember. I've "earned" that several times now. Comparable to the Trak Shak, a little smaller, great location, friendliest and most helpful running specific store in town. read more

The person who helped me at the store really listened to what I was wanting and gave me a lot of different options. The best service I've gotten at a Fleet Feet thus far. I found my perfect shoe but they didn't have my desired color in stock. Instead of letting me compromise and go with my second choice shoe, they checked both the shoe brand's site as well as Fleet Feet's site. They found them online for me and showed me how to order them. So, rather than take business for their individual store, they put the customer first. Cannot recommend highly enough. read more

Andy and the guys here are fantastic! Love the personal attention and the fact they take the time to study your feet and find the perfect shoe. I have weird shaped feet and need a lot of arch support and Andy found the perfect shoe for me. And because I am a member of Lifetime Fitness I got 10% off! Worked out perfectly because I was able to stay within my budget! You definitely need to check this place out if you need some advice on the best shoes for your feet. Great service! read more

Went here today after a bad experience at Trak Shak. I needed to find shoes for my wide, flat feet. Brian offered me multiple pairs of shoes to try & even fitted me with inserts. He was kind, patient and very informative. They have a super-friendly staff & lots of in-stock options for any foot type. I will definitely be back!! read more

Excellent experience! We came here to purchase shoe inserts and were assisted by Samantha - the most knowledgeable sales assistant I think I've ever encountered. She wasn't pushy and took the time to watch my fiancé's walk and to study his feet before bringing out inserts and shoes to try. She was well-versed in the plight of those with plantar fasciitis and was very informative, even suggesting shoes that they didn't stock. We were in and out in only a few minutes and my fiancé's feet feel better already. If ever there was an example of when online shopping is not always the answer, this was it. read more

Stopped in today expecting a selection comparable to the Huntsville store. I was very disappointed. They have no where near the same selection. Shopped at Fleet Feet for first time today to get my son some legit running shoes for cross country. It was an excellent experience! Andy helped us, and he was super friendly, engaged and knowledgeable. He first did a very thorough assessment of my son's feet - took diff measurements, watched him walk around barefoot to see how his feet behaved. He used that info to pick out several different shoes/brands to try on. He wasn't pushing any particular style or brand, but just wanted to find the pair that felt "just right" for my son. We found a clear winner (Brooks brand). I was impressed with the whole process and with the quality/friendliness of the staff. My son ended up with the right pair of shoes for him - that's important because he's got a lot of miles of training/races ahead this season. We'll definitely go back to Fleet Feet. read more

Andy was great! Very knowledgeable and friendly. I have never been fitted for shoes before, and I loved my experience at this store.

The best place for buying the "correct" shoes for your feet, gait & your issues. Everyone is very knowledgeable, kind, patient and helpful. I cannot imagine buying running shoes anywhere else. Seek out Sam, she is fabulous!! read more

I'm an Iron Triber and runner. I am hard on tennis shoes and am always looking for a good pair. I've been using Fleet Feet for about a year and a half and won't shop anywhere else in Birmingham! Most recently, I bought a pair that really hurt my feet. I took them back to the store after a week, hoping the sales associates could see how my foot was fitting in the shoe and help me find an alternative that would be better. Andy and his staff quickly diagnosed the issue and exchanged my shoes for a different brand. The staff is knowledgeable, they are quick and the process is easy. They truly want to take care of their customers and are great to work with. Fleet Feet has my business! read more
