I recently had an excellent experience at Fleet Farm in Oconomowoc that I felt deserved a shoutout. A few months back, I purchased a pressure washer that ended up being defective. When I brought it in, I was initially told I might have to go through the manufacturer for a replacement, which honestly felt like it was going to be a long and frustrating process. But to my surprise, about a week later, the store manager, Steve, personally reached out and let me know they were going to take care of it in-house. Not only did he make sure I got a working replacement pressure washer, but he also went above and beyond by refunding the gas they had to siphon from the old unit--and sent me home with a brand new gas can, filled with the gas they removed. The whole process was handled with professionalism and care, and it really turned what could have been a disappointing situation into a positive one. Steve and the rest of the Fleet Farm team showed that they genuinely value their customers and stand behind the products they sell. This kind of customer service is rare nowadays. Won't honor their own price match policy and when denying, they quote unwritten rules. I recently went in to purchase a resin shed, price matching to Home Depot. It was the same brand, model number, and condition (new, undamaged). However, they declined the match saying it had to be available for same day pickup AND within a 50 miles radius of the location I was at. No where in their published policy does it list either of those conditions. If that is true, update your policy or honor it. Don't makeup rules to justify denying a match. read more

The service is much better than the Delavan one we came from, but still kinda lacking. They don't keep great track of their furniture inventory. So we paid for a couch and went back to get the boxes loaded. And the guy said we only have the floor Model left. He did at least try to find some at other locations. But I feel like if this is something you have in the Ad. You should probably have more than one per store. The price you pay for most stuff is pretty comparable and fair for the most part. Some stuff is actually more expensive. But it seems like they clearance things pretty frequently company wide. And the employees actually acknowledge you! read more

Would NOT get mechanical work done there. Made an appt to have all 4 tires put on with balance and alignment. Told me they couldn't do alignment because machine broke and they had other appts. Now I have to go back 2.5 weeks later. Worst part is, is that I brought my vehicle home with 5 scratches that completely took off the paint! Called to talk to someone and I still haven't heard back (3 days) from a supervisor to get this resolved. The first Fleet Farm I've ever been in. I've been to Farm and Fleet, which is in the same family. The store is set up the same way. Nice sales on apparel, and notions up front. I have a sporting goods department, men's and women's clothing, and of course, farm and garden supplies. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. Very large parking area, and very close to the main highways. read more

NEVER take your car to their auto center! The staff tries to up sell things because people don't know any better. They sent me down the road without telling me my tires were shot. They also tried to get me to commit to replacing shocks and struts on my car. All I wanted was an oil change and tire rotation. Take your car to a reliable garage and save yourself the hassle of dealing with people who are just out to make the company some extra bucks. read more

No help to find things, found one employee on my way to the service desk,he had no idea where the ant traps are. Sent me to the service desk. Waiting 8 deep in line at the desk found another person who didn't have a clue, pointed me to farm supplies. I was already there after going through all of hardware and not finding them. Service desk had the answer went all the way back to the west end of the store to get them. Then all the way to the east end to get the trash can just to find them so pushed togather I could not separate them wanted one not 4. No one around to help. Just spent 8 hours at a punch press, I'm tired and 62 years old. You're cans and traps are still there I'm not. It would be funny to watch the person who finds the ant traps buy the trash cans on the floor try to put them away, they won't have a clue where they go. read more

The store is always understaffed, and management is no help. Management should be able to assist in every department. Great place if you are not in need of assistance. Staff and managers need to be able to help in all departments. Don't waste your time, ​go to Cabelas; at least there they care and not there just to collect a check. They would not price match an exact item ,manager said has to be box store so I showed it was (Scheels Store in Appleton ) then she said has to be within certain miles but could not tell me how many miles. I ordered the product online from Scheels with free shipping. If Fleet Farm wants to do " price match" post the terms somewhere and not managers opinion. read more

It's just plain difficult finding an employee to help find stuff in the store. But when you do, they are pretty good even though they are being hunted down by other customers. I guess this is the price you pay for low cost products - not staffing the store with enough people on the floor. read more
