If I could give ZERO STARS I would!!…read more The WORST massage experience I have ever had in my entire life. And I frequently visit spas. This "spa" is a joke! Veryyy unprofessional & tacky to say the least. The massage room is furnished by the local dollar tree with poor lighting and massage beds with old sheets and blankets on it. My massage wasn't great and the guy made me feel beyond uncomfortable. Upon walking out from the massage the guy says to me, "don't forget to take care of me and tip!" Ummm excuse me?? Then the receptionist 1 minute later asks me, "did you take care of your therapist?" I said, "take care of him as in ..?" She goes, "tip them" so I said, "no not yet my boyfriend went to get his wallet from the car". Then she proceeds to hand me 2 tip envelopes and asks me if I want to hear about their specials while I wait. NO THANKS! I actually forgot to mention they have signs plastered in every single room and empty wall space all over that hole in a wall "spa" that reads : ALL SERVICES ARE NON TAXABLE. FOR ALL ONE HOUR SERVICES THE SUGGESTED GRATUITY IS $20.00 PER THERAPIST. Soooo tacky, tasteless & classless. I wouldn't even come back here if they paid me!!

I was quickly accommodated by the lovely receptionist, I think her name started with a T but I could be wrong. I was lucky to meet her in person when I showed up for my appointment. She was super kind and even offered me tea! I met with Sandra (Sandy) for my Deep Muscle Meltdown massage. As I entered the back where the massage room are located I was pleased with the aesthetics and I already began to feel relaxed while also excited for the service. Upon entering the massage room I noticed how clean it was and Sandy made me feel comfortable right away by showing me where I can place my clothes, how I should lie on the bed, and she asked just the right questions to know exactly what I was looking for in my experience today. Sandy is also super knowledgeable and shared with me exactly what areas she would be targeting after she learned about my daily activities through her targeted questions. When my massage was over I didn't want to leave! I was treated so well that I booked my next appointment before I left. Sandy is officially my masseuse at Spa Rockaway! Pat you have a lovely business/spa!

I ended up booking a facial for my mom and I after much hesitation, because I couldn't pass up this deal! I hesitated before booking because I've had complete horror experiences with facials. The estheticians I've seen in the past have been so rough and applied way too much pressure to my face, causing me to cry from the pain during extractions. Monique was so calming and soothing throughout this experience. A day before our appointment, she texted parking and enter an email directions, and the day of she welcomed us into the perfectly decorated spa and began our services right on time. Since I had some time to kill before my facial, Monique recommended getting my eyebrows done with Heather from @featherwaxshoppe. My eyebrows look amazing and since Heather uses a special wax, I was able to get a facial right after with no irritation. During my facial, Monique was super informative and kept making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. She even texted me a few days later to see how my skin was doing. She's a true professional. I can't wait to continue services with Monique so that she can help me achieve flawless skin for my wedding! If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere for amazing facials and waxing, look no further!

I just had a wonderful facial with Ramona. She was extremely detailed, gentle and professional. She didn't try to sell me a bunch of unnecessary services but offered her advise when asked. Yes they do 2 facials at a time but they only move back and forth while you steam or while you lay with your finishing mask. They don't stop working on you to work on someone else. I don't mind this since it's probably how they keep their prices down. The prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of time, product and work they do. I walked out glowing and their is nothing better for staying young than keeping your face clean. I would highly recommend this place and Ramona. I'll be back next month.

Although the person performing the facial did an okay job, the experience was terrible. They…read moreadvertise that the facials are an hour and a half long but they don't mention that it's that long because they do two clients at the same time. While one person is getting something down, the other person waits then vise versa. This is how they schedule them (t's NOT because an employee didn't show up or they tried to fit another person in). A couple came in after us and they were also told that they perform facials 2 at a time. Both beds are right next to each other in what can only be described as a wide hallway (people have to walk through to get to the back). She started on me first before my nephew arrived and was brought in for his treatment. While I was getting extractions, he waited under the vapor (for longer than anyone should). While he was getting extractions, I was left waiting with a mask on. My nephew is a teenager with hormonal acne so I knew I was going to have to wait a long time before she would finish with me. After about 15-20 minutes, I used the excuse that I needed to use the bathroom to get up. While in the bathroom I noticed that the band she used to pull my hair back was stained. I can't confirm what the stains were but I have an idea of what it could be. I would have never seen it if it weren't for the fact that I got up to use the bathroom. When I returned, I watched her do extractions on my nephew for a few minutes. She used a tool I didn't recognize (it looked like a razor with a point at the end). Never once did she ask him if he was okay or he needed a break or anything at all. After waiting another 10-15 minutes, I finally told her I had to leave and she put my nephew under the vapor again while she took off the mask and finished my facial. My nephew was there for a total of TWO AND A HALF HOURS. Again, it's one thing if the 1.5-2.5 hours were all focused on you, but it's not. Half the time you're waiting for your turn. There were other things I had issues with but I think this is enough for one review.

"That was the only way to get extractions" she said. )) don't act so bummed out about my decision. Sadly, -as well as the amount I paid in advanced with group on- the receptionist demanded "an additional $4 to cover taxes". Sigh. I wish I had asked for a receipt for these monies. It really was unusual. Just continuously 'nickel and diming' customers is NOT relaxing. YOU BREAK MY MOMENT OF ZEN. When I go to a spa I want to relax and I expect to get what I paid for in a pleasant manner. Let me relax. By all means you can talk to me and you can tell me what your putting on my face.... " ohhh this will cleanse your skin and soften it"" Yes, sure you share your knowledge of how that product will benefit my skin. I'd love that. But don't make things awkward by repeatedly nickel and diming me. My esthetician 'julia' seemed nice enough, soft spoken. She had a tip envelope at the front desk. She did her job. I'm pleased with my skin but all I want is to relax during the process. Just a heads up.

As soon as I was finished, I was greeted by my masseuse who provided me with a deep tissue massage upon request. To my surprise, the woman at the front desk (Cathy) performed my facial.
