Great people, great hamburgers. My only issue is their limited business hours, looking forward to this changing.

If you want great homemade food and healthy portions cooked like your mama in her Kitchen then…read moreOlean's is the place. Homestyle grits, sausage. Pancakes and toast are the best! The fried chicken is a must eat cuisine. It's not a fancy place at all but the food is the best! And the staff is all family so Mrs. Olean keeps them right and on point. Adams Street is a quiet street on this particular Saturday morning around 9:15 am. But inside the restaurant, there is a flurry of activity behind the counter, the aroma of breakfast makes us smile when we enter and there is a line that stretches to the door. Folks are waiting. Few dine in and most are carrying out several to go boxes per person. The prices are reasonable and for the portion size, I would say budget-minded. Get the Olean's omelette. It's generously sized and enough for 3 meals. It looks nothing like a traditional omelette. It reads more like a breakfast casserole. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, veggies and cheese. It's comfort food on a plate. I am so sorry I didn't take a photo to share. I highly recommend this meal option! My dining companion ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and plain grits. My dining companion stated they were the best restaurant grits they'd ever eaten. The bacon was piled high on his plate! He took 1/2 this meal home. Mrs. Olean is behind the counter and just as personable as can be. She sets the tone for hospitality and it shows with her courteous staff. There was ample parking. The dining room is small, probably 10 tables in all. Most seem to be taking bags with their to go containers. Few people leave with one container. We will certainly return for some of their lunch options next.

The prices are already solid, but the dinner specials make the deals even better. The staff is very friendly and keeps things moving quickly, which is great because the food comes out fast and piping hot. The chicken itself is breaded to perfection--super crispy on the outside while still juicy and flavorful on the inside. You also get your choice of dipping sauces, which makes it easy to mix things up. If you're in the area, this is definitely a must-visit, especially if you love fried chicken. It's the kind of place that's simple, fast, and absolutely hits the spot every time.

My first experience was at a location in Thomasville but I've been to this one a few times. I get the lunch special with fried chicken wings, French fries and cole slaw. It also comes with a slice of bread and a drink. The chicken is delicious and perfectly fried. It is tender and juicy. The slaw is chopped fine and a little sweet like southern slaw should be. I don't like French fries but these are very good with the sprinkling of pixie dust that they put on them. The employees are very friendly! This is in the old TCBY location on Mahan Rd. The rest room is clean and the food great. I'll be back!

On today I ordered the catfish tacos and collard greens with the turkey. The meal was great. The catfish was lightly fried and the sauce on it was amazing. I came to this place with my friend who currently lives in Tallahassee. It came highly recommended,…read moreand it did not disappoint. During Sunday brunch, we were seated quickly, even without reservations, even while it was very busy. There were lots of people ~ the venue is cute and quaint... my friend, however, was stuck on the paint chips and holes in the wall. The food was great. I got fried deviled eggs (yummy), fried catfish, red velvet waffles, eggs and corned beef hash. The catfish was extremely fresh. The red velvet cupcakes came with a cream cheese sauce that tasted more like Krispy Kreme donut glaze or just a sugary sauce. I wish it had more of a cream cheese flavor. I wasn't pleased with it. The corn beef hash was good. My friend got the chicken and pancakes. The chicken was delicious, perfectly fried. The customer service was great ~ warm, attentive, inviting, quick, and well managed to be so busy. Jordan, our server, was amazing! The ambience and crowd were nice, diverse. Unfortunately, the speaker wasn't working properly so initially it was incredibly, awkwardly quiet. When the speaker did start working, it sounded busted. Hope you enjoy if you ever go visit.

Really loved the upscale remake! We enjoyed brunch so much we came back for dinner the same day! The menu items include both traditional and creative thoughtfully prepared offerings that are delicious and attracted plated. The decor is classy and modern with the addition of a very nice bar and sport spectator area. For brunch I had the half fried chicken which includes 4 pieces separately fried. I had collard greens which were fresh but just okay flavor wise, but I really enjoyed the roasted carrots! My aunt had a pork chop sandwich which came with delicious home fries! My uncle had fried fish and grits with scrambled eggs and biscuit. The seasoning and crust on the fried items was perfect! When we returned for dinner, we enjoyed the unique appetizer....boiled peanut and neckbone boil. I enjoyed the vegan black eyed pea soup. It was classic comfort food, I had the chef add in some collards and it was delicious! Also enjoyed the BBQ shrimp even though I was expecting it to be a little more wet. I did not get to taste the gumbo or the smothered fried shrimp and grits but I saw some clean plates-lol. The staff is super friendly and attentive and it's very clean. Looking forward to our next visit!

**Review: Solid Steak Dinner at The Edison**…read more I had a pleasant dinner at The Edison recently and walked away satisfied, especially with the food. Service was just okay--nothing terrible, but the appetizers definitely took longer than expected to come out. That said, our server was genuinely good: friendly, knowledgeable, and checked on us at the right moments without being overbearing. The appetizers were worth the wait. Both the fried green tomatoes and the crab appetizer were excellent--fresh, flavorful, and nicely executed. For the main course, the steak was spot-on: tender, well-seasoned, and cooked exactly as ordered. The potatoes that came with it were also really good--creamy and tasty without being heavy. We ended the meal with the bread pudding, and it was one of the best parts of the night. It was done perfectly: warm, moist, and full of rich, comforting flavor that didn't feel overly sweet. All in all, The Edison delivers on the food front. If you're after a reliable steak with some standout starters and a strong dessert, it's a solid choice. Ambiance was good, love the historic building. I'll definitely be back for the steak and bread pudding. Recommended!

The food was well-prepared and flavorful, with a menu that balances classic favorites and creative options. Portions were satisfying, and presentation was thoughtful. The space has a lively yet comfortable vibe, making it a great place for both casual meals and social outings. Service was friendly and attentive, though it slowed a little during peak times. Overall, The Edison is a solid choice for good food, drinks, and ambiance. With slightly faster service during busy hours, it could easily earn a full five stars
