I thought of all those options, Twelve would be the most unique and tasty for my girlfriend and I. We went in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We weren't too hungry so we didn't expect to be there past their closing time, and we were ready to go. Our waiter was quick and attentive, bringing us water and helping us decide on drinks from the bar and our order. He also showed us their insane over-the-top whiskey menu. If you like whiskey, give Twelve a shot I guess. To order, I just got their 'Osaka Style' Pressed Roll while my girlfriend got a Sushi Bowl Salad. We got Sweet Potato Fries to share. As for drinks, I started with their Monkey See, Monkey Do, an impressive and firm beverage, while my girlfriend ordered their Destin Dream, a fun Pina Colada-like drink. It wasn't long before our food came out. The sushi was beautifully plated with some wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. I destroyed all the rolls. They were all very fresh and very high quality, which was remarkable for their $13.50 price tag. My girlfriend's sushi bowl looked insane. She ate most of it, but I filled the gaps and devoured the rest of it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and heavenly like all sweet potato fries usually are. I felt adventurous and I got a second drink of their Rose Garden, which was simple but flavorful. Compared to FDs, the menu might be a little more sea-inspired and more adventurous, but I think it leads to better, more unique food, especially with offerings like Oyster Rockefeller and a sushi bar. I also know Twelve does a great brunch as well, so keep that on your radar. Ultimately, as the bill came, the price was very manageable even with the alcohol. It's nice that you don't fully have to break the bank to have a nice meal in Tyler thanks to places like Twelve. I rate it a 12/10. Get it? hahahaha... I got my usual flight of 4 beers which consisted of a DIPA, hazy IPA, Dunkel and Kristalweizen. All were solid with the DIPA being my favorite. For lunch I got a chef's salad. Yes, I was made fun of relentlessly by my fellow fat boys, but I needed something semi healthy before a 3-day weekend of debauchery. I was certainly jealous when I saw their burgers and wings come out. The place is large, lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The tap list was also plentiful, and the food menu was perfect for a brewery. ETX was a solid start to our trip.

All the bad reviews are not about bad food but more about mundane experiences by what seems to be pretentious people. The food is quite excellent and not your everyday pub food.
