Debbie is simply the best. You should contact her now! :) If I could give Debbie 10 stars, I would…read more She truly made the wedding planning process and wedding day so much better for my groom, myself and our families in every way. To start with: I was hooked on Debbie during our first conversations. Unlike other wedding planners I spoke with, she did not immediately push me on her packages and get me to sign a contract. Instead she spent two hours on the phone with me listening to our day and the issues we had run into so far planning. She immediately jumped in and worked with me trying to find solutions to these initial problems. I actually felt like she cared about our day and was going to work hard to make it perfect. That's when we chose her and over the year we planned together, we never regretted the decision. My husband and I had a complicated wedding day. We had 200 guests and had two ceremonies (Hindu and Christian) at two locations with a luncheon and evening reception. All in one day! It was logistically very complicated. In addition, Debbie had never planned an Indian wedding (which she was up front about during our initial conversations). While we definitely needed to both do our homework throughout the year, Debbie did an amazing job all year researching Hindu traditions and actually coming to us with ideas for vendors. She is unbelievably organized and meticulous which is definitely why our crazy day went so perfectly. We weren't sure if we could truly pull off our tight timeframe for the day but we did almost to the minute! Our guests definitely noticed how smooth the whole day was and appreciated it! We have received so many compliments about our wedding day from both of our families and friends. We were able to honor both sides and traditions and make the long day fun for them. Much of this success is due to Debbie. Debbie is also just truly a pleasure to work with. Her husband, Mike, and her are just "good people" that make it fun to spend hours throughout the year on the phone discussing what can be mundane details of a wedding day, checking out vendors, etc. She led us repeatedly to vendors that were similar - she tried to use smaller and locally owned vendors when possible. We were so happy with everyone she introduced us to and loved supporting local. One of the most telling signs of what Debbie meant to me is probably how I felt that week before the wedding. While I had some stress with our visitors and some private events we were hosting during the week with family and friends, I had NO stress about the wedding day itself. I had total faith that Debbie and her team would be on top of all the details. When my mom expressed a worry about how she'd know when this or that was happening on the day, I said "don't worry! listen to Debbie!" It's wonderful to NOT focus on all those details and last minute challenges of wedding planning, but rather to be able to focus on the excitement of marrying the love of your life and celebrating with family and friends. Debbie made that possible. Thank you, Debbie, for making our wedding day truly the best day ever!!

Debbie was the only vendor that I used who was able to work around the time difference and the whole planning process was seamless. We used Debbie for Day of Planning, as well as having her assist us with the rehearsal the night before. We had several phone calls in the months leading up to the event. It was so helpful that she always had a list of things that I needed to accomplish before our next call. I had so many other things going on it was difficult to stay on task. Debbie took the time to meet with me and my family during one trip to Michigan and was able to meet with me again when I returned three weeks before. She was so kind to all of my family members, after our first meeting they all commented on how organized she was. In the weeks leading up to the wedding Debbie offered her assistance with all the last minute details, she even offered to help me out if my family was starting to drive me nuts. Before the events she confirmed all vendor appointments and even worked out a few kinks we had in the scheduling. I was able to drop all of the little details for the wedding to her in advance so I would not have to worry about the little things like table numbers and seating charts. The day of our wedding Debbie and her team were so helpful, everything was seamless, she took charge of the ceremony, because the venue did not have an onsite coordinator. I did not have to worry about a thing. She even handled a little meltdown by my aunt. I do not think our wedding would have turned out so amazing without her. I would recommend her to everyone looking to have a day of coordinator. She will really put your mind at ease. You cannot put a price on the services she provides. It is worth every penny.

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about them…read more We found them after a long search to cater our wedding in June 24. They jumped to accommodate our brunch catering request, and did so flawlessly. The guests were extremely impressed with their ability to serve and maintain breakfast foods buffet style, and raved about the options and taste of all the food. I would highly recommend them for anything you need. Despite being a little pricy, it was well worth the expense.

The servers did a great job helping set up everything, but this event left all the guests hungry. They actually went home and ordered pizza. I am still trying to untangle what the heck cost $4,656.13 for 25 guests. We did have flowers and tables clothes but my goodness. First time I used them they did sandwiches which were full sandwiches, I had no reason to believe that this was going to cost more money and that a cocktail sandwich for lunch did not mean a full sandwich but the finest of sandwiches I have ever seen. They were also supposed to have brie on one of the sandwichs and it had absolutely no Brie! There food signs were bigger than the sandwiches. I will never ever hire them again. Buyer beware with this group. I see all of these posts that say they did a great job and I am wondering, did they run out of time for our event - what the heck happened? Just don't do it. I was beyond disappointed.

They have completely ruined my wedding. Period. I was…read moresuppose to get married in the Castle in July 2021. I put a deposit on the hall in 2019 for 100 people (later updated to 160 people), then of course the pandemic hit. Canterbury's response to this whole mess has been abysmal. Angela (their event coordinator) and I touched base every so often regarding the pandemic and how events would be handled in the future, however it was always extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone. She was not responding to my calls or emails... I had to go as far as to call the pub and ask them to relay a message to Angela (which she promptly responded to and said that their phonelines were down....) When we spoke in August of 2020, Angela told me that they were doing events outside in tents (this is also confirmed by someone who reviewed the castle on Facebook, whom I talked to personally) and that it would still be possible to have a wedding there in a pandemic; we just had to keep guest counts in mind. The next time we spoke was in March 2021. I had been trying to schedule a tasting for the castle, as the wedding was coming up and we had not yet decided on a menu. Angela told me that they were not scheduling tastings until early April. Then she told me May. This seemed odd to me, as the reason they weren't doing tastings was because the pub wasn't open yet but in January restaurants were allowed to re-open with limited capacity. At this time (mid-April), I asked Angela again about the possibility of an outdoor event at the hall and the possibility of dancing at our upcoming wedding. She told me an outdoor event "would not be ideal" as it would have to be in a parking lot, however she said that we could "explore that option" when the time came, as I said I didn't care if it was in a parking lot. She also said they would "look the other way" as far as dancing was concerned. In early May, I texted Angela (who wasn't getting calls from Canterbury's voicemail because she was working from home?) asking again about the possibility of an outdoor wedding (the little voice in my head told me to call before purchasing invitations). It was at this time that Angela told me that they would no longer accommodate my request for an outdoor wedding because having it in a parking lot would be "too dangerous" (it wasn't last year?) and that they only hosted one outdoor wedding the year prior. This was a complete lie because. as I stated early, I talked to a bride who had her wedding outside in 2020 and she said her friend also had their wedding outside the same year. In 2020, Angela also said that they were moving all not-postponed weddings outside. Angela also said that dancing was no longer allowed. I expressed my disappointment and asked for my deposit back, as it was made almost a full 2 years prior and they are unable to adhere to the terms of our contract. They said that they cannot give it back and that they are "accommodating me" by offering postponement (which I cannot do because over half of my guestlist is flying in from other states and already has travel accommodations booked) or by allowing me to have my event with 25 people and no dancing. They also offered to transfer my deposit toward another future event "in a couple months". I told them that the LEAST they could do was offer me a full year to plan a new, cheaper event, and that I wanted an updated contract in writing. Angela agreed to an updated contract. This was over 3 weeks ago and I have not received a new contract. I have not agreed to canceling my event, either, as I do not have a new contract. The state is also apparently lifting all guidelines in July, but I haven't heard from Canterbury and they won't return my emails, calls, or my mother's calls. I have had to completely re-plan my entire wedding due to the lack of communication and their refusal to quickly adhere to changing government mandates regarding the pandemic. They clearly care more about their family-friendly events than they do a 160 person wedding.

We were the first-ever customers for their first-ever breakfast buffet that started on 5/3/2015…read more Their breakfast buffet opening was in coordination with the opening of the new church that took over the old Christmas shop location. It was evident that there were very minor hiccups with their first service (not being ready at exactly 10:30AM), but overall the wait staff was MORE than phenomenal. They were exceptionally nice and helped us out whenever we needed. The food was okay as it was seemingly standard for any kind of breakfast buffet. The french toast was very thin and generic and the lack of pancakes and/or waffles was a disappointment. I liked the sausage links, but thought the hash browns were a little mushy. My wife was disappointed with the orange juice and the plain yogurt that was served. Again, it was their first day with the breakfast buffet and maybe it will improve as the summer continues, but we won't be back for the breakfast buffet.

*WEDDING VENUE REVIEW*…read more We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception here, as well as our bridal party photos, and we couldn't have been any happier with the results! We stumbled on this place via a Facebook advertisement. We had been trying to find another venue to move to because our current one was not cooperating because of pandemic uncertainty. After talking with Haley in person about our day and what we were looking for our of this place, we absolutely could not pass it up. The only day they had available for the Fall was the day we were going to get married on, September the 11th. Working with Haley throughout our journey to the big day was very easy and we experienced no issues the entire time with any of the planning, coordination with vendors, or anything that kept changing on our end that we needed to communicate with. We were offered a food tasting with our families, then got to have our rehearsal dinner here as well. Even on our big day, we had the ceremony and reception in the same place. On our big day, I was working on a lot of the last minute set up or overviews of the venue while my wife was getting ready. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the staff here kept me as calm as I could have been. The ceremony looked beautiful as well as the reception. All of the coordination was done correctly and efficiently. Our guests who attended the wedding regularly talk about how beautiful it was as well as how great the food was! We could not have asked for a better experience and a better day for our wedding. Very impressed with how efficient and prepared this venue was to host an event.

Our wedding was the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend (great way to save money and it's like a Saturday night wedding since most people have Monday off), we had about 120 people and our ceremony was held outside on the golf course. The first thing that amazed my husband and I was the view from the dining room- one wall is floor to ceiling windows that overlook the golf course, and it is beautiful. The ceremony location is an open area right near the golf course and was a nice simple place to hold the ceremony. The staff provided excellent service - from our initial meeting with the banquet manager to the wait staff on the big day. Leading up to the wedding the manager was helpful in planning our wedding to make sure all the details were set. Upon arriving at the club house on the wedding day, some of the tables were set up incorrectly and the staff immediately fixed them. One of the highlights was the bartenders - some wedding venues won't allow shots, not this place. The booze was flowing - LOTS of shots, giant martini glasses filled with deliciousness, and all the standards - beer, wine, mixed drinks. In looking at different venues, Paint Creek was one of the best values we found. A buffet dinner with two entrees (chicken and roast beef carving station) and the standard salad, rolls, potato, veggies, plus the middle level bar (Captain Morgan, Seagrams, etc. not well and not Grey Goose..), cheese & crackers and veggies as appetizers, and including tax and gratuity and cake cutting was about $50 per person. Adding fancier appetizers was a small addition to the price. This was their Sunday price, so a Saturday night would be a little more expensive. There was no room rental fee or a ceremony fee. Paint Creek has only been doing weddings for about 5+ years and they've started doing more over the past 2-3 years and they are doing a great job. I could not have been more pleased with the food, bar, service and price and would highly recommend this venue to anyone.
