When I attempted to contact Lids.com there was no provision for speaking with a human. One number listed got me an answering machine with the sound of a baby crying in the background which referred me to an other number which was busy. The chat function proved useless as well. The only information I was able to locate regarding returns - EVEN APPARENTLY OF DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE - indicated Lids.com would charge around $10.00 service/handling. This is just plain wrong in my opinion when I AM RETURNING DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE TO THE COMPANY. I give this company the lowest rating in my vocabularry.

I live out of town so finally went back 5 days later, the size on the hat was so tiny you could barely make out the letters. My husband went in and picked it up b/c I was sick. My husband said he told her ' I don't think she's gonna like this'. Her response was "well she said she wanted drip (the font). Lady, YOU recommend drip to me and you also recommend the size!! So with BOTH of your professional recommendations, you cant tell what the letters are. No one will look at that hat and be able to tell what my nephews name is! And this is ALL he asked for, for Christmas!. If you didn't know, you should've not given suggestions! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END! And to think I was kind and forgiving even when I cam hours later and the hat wasn't ready. This business sucks!!

When he returned he said, "It's REALLY good you didn't come with me into the store!" I asked what happened. He told me an unleashed aggressive dog was standing directly inside the entrance and loudly snarled and growled at him as he tried to enter the store. The female owner of the dog&store told him the dog was a "rescue" and that it didn't take a liking to men. I have documented allergies to dogs and also fear them for their unpredictable nature as what happened when he casually walked into the store. It's a shame because he probably would have bought me something warm to wear if the dog had not been there growling at him. Also, I only buy second hand from smoke&pet free homes/stores. *Message to management: I've never owned a clothing store, but I've worked at one. It's very important for customers to feel safe and welcomed when trying on clothes and window shopping. In what world is it considered civilized to have an unleashed, untrained and aggressive dog positioned at the head of the store? You are actively discriminating against men shopping at your store by bringing this dog to work. Men like to surprise their girlfriend or wife or mother with something nice to wear from time to time. If you don't have liability insurance for potential dog bites when a man enters your store it might be time to get some. Or, better yet, just install a modern security system and leave your aggressive dog at home or bring it to a shelter. You will be doing the city of Raleigh and it's citizens a favor.
