T.& R Auto Service was a great resolve to a recent gas tank problem, where the charcoal filter…read morepieces in the gas tank, got into the system, and had to be cleaned out, with all the gas lines cleaned ,tank, and new valves, and seals, and the Dealer would not take the job, by cleaning out that system, only replacing parts. They wanted to sell me an engine, in order to warranty any work for that job. The mechanic Tom at T& R did it, though. Successfully, in one days time. No new engine needed. Gave me a year warranty as well. / I will always go to T.N R. To get best diagnosis. And work done.

After 6 months and several jobs done we are disillusioned with Bullet Automotive. We have had to…read moretake our vehicle back several times to have the "fix" fixed, charged $200 on a average more than originally agreed upon, picking up our vehicle just to have pieces dragging on the ground, a control arm and tie rod so poorly installed the shop we took it to after suffering an intense shimmy said "you should buy a lottery ticket, it's a miracle the wheel did not fall off!" The reason for two stars is we are somewhat complicit for continuing to go back. Beware of Bullets; I would steer clear, pun intended. You can trust me, this is our experience with them. ;D

It was time to do the PM replacement of the timing belt for my 20218 Honda Ridgeline. I obtained…read moreproposals from several local repair shops and the proposal from Bullets was among the most competitive. After selecting the 3 lowest proposals I visited each of those three shops to see their operation. Bullets Automotive has the feel of a small town business with big town capabilities. This is a family run business with two additional employees that I witnessed are treated like family. The owner, Bullet, feeds the employees a grilled or smoked lunch every day. He shows them that they are valued. That is important as happy employees tend to care more about their work and helping to grow the reputation of the business. Bullet's spouse handles the office very capably. While visiting the shop I witnessed her negotiating with a warranty company on behalf of another customer. It was easy to tell that she is knowledgeable and skilled at dealing with the warranty companies and the hoops through which they put customers and repair facilities. The job for my vehicle was scheduled for the following week and they accepted my vehicle on time. The maintenance was performed and completed within the promised amount of time and at the cost that was quoted. No Surprises. The total extent of the work was to replace the timing belt, water pump and pullies as well as replace the serpentine belt. Bullet saved the replaced parts and offered them for my review. The job was done well. Having moved to Florida from the north where I was connected and knew where to get the services I needed for anything there was a bit of angst associated with the process of finding a good, honest auto repair facility. I think that this is a trustworthy repair facility that does good work for a fair price. Bullets Automotive has earned my business and I will continue to use them.

Update to my original post...when I was NEW (naive) customer…read more Thought I'd found a great mechanic but low & behold...just another disappointment! It's taken me awhile to write this since I do have other life priorities than writing reviews. But here it finally is. After they changed my front brakes, and let them convince me the rotors needed changed but...did not. What was I thinking?! Anyway...finally had funds to get the rear brakes done. Was given an estimate but then AFTER the brakes were done & I got the bill it was $200 higher (I realize and estimate is just that) however $200 when they couldn't get the ones quoted so got the more expensive ones, without telling me First! Considering I am barely surviving on SS (which they were aware of my financial constraints) but even if not...they should've told me BEFORE they did the job giving me the option to reschedule!! It wasn't a dire emergency! It wouldn't been the smart decision...it's just poor business sense if one really cares about retaining a customer! On top of that, the rotors unlike the front ones which aren't near as bad, have the greatest amount of brake dust I've ever experienced on my 19 yo car...it accumulates in less than 2 days! They constantly need Cleaned it's so horrendous and unsightly...and for $200 MORE?!?! Plus they Screech when I brake!! Unacceptable & Inexcusable!! I should've listened to a previous post to take business elsewhere. Another one bites the dust!! Literally! uUIp

Nice guy, but just not gonna get the job done. Hired him at 120 an hour to do a Painless wire…read moreharness install. After nearly 2k and numerous cancellations, no shows and a lot of frustration and two months, I was left with some wires pulled through the firewall. He asked me to order parts which I did. They were all wrong: Pitman arm and ignition module had to be bought again because they were incorrect parts. The first day he arrived his truck leaked a lot of oil all over my driveway and I spent an hour cleaning it. Unfortunately a total waste of time and money. I don't think he's dishonest, I just think he's inept. After review of his response I have made additions: see fotos and the dates in the screenshots. This response was totally unacceptable and to blame me for this lack of professionalism is just plain wrong! See the dates and fotos. This truck is a 140k truck with some needs to I wanted addressed. It needs a few parts like you'll see in the chat! This wasn't a customer scorned. I just wanted my truck fixed !!! This of you that have been scammed and strung along by a mechanic will understand!!!! See the screenshot with cancellations and change dates. This was chronic cancellations and changes. I missed work one day. In fact, I even gave him my code to the garage to accommodate him. But, too much is too much. I couldn't justify paying him for constantly uncertainty. I can do this all day. Let me start by the metadata claim.... These are screen shots take the day of this posting genius....look at the dates in the chat. The parts you said I choose cheaper parts of lower quality ... see the new screen shots where you told me to purchase the specific parts and I did. You have disgraced yourself and lied and it's here in black and white with your chat. Also, pay attention to the dates that you told me to purchase and my response was I got them. You say you had no role which parts I purchased which is an absolute falsehood! It's in black and white. I have the chats here that you directed me to purchase certain items and I did! Highly customized? It's a totally stock 302 Ford Motor. The truck is a complete original and stock. The claim about a Latin America Truck is laughable. Is he a mechanic or a comedian? It was manufactured in the USA for Latin America and Canada. Know why? It has a speedometer in KM and hour. Yah the speedometer is in metric KM. Any novice can see that in the foto. My gosh! As for your cancellations and late shows. Look at 1 of numerous screen shots where you cancelled after I waited all day. In fact, I had to text you and ask "guess you're not showing?" I believe that was the day I didn't go to work and waited all day for you. Another falsehood that you claim all cancellations were done in Advance. See it in the screenshot You're deceit and lack of candor this will only make you look even more unprofessional. Keep editing, I'll keep posting the truth. I'm awaiting for an apology. BTW - having a couple friends make 5 star reviews the day I call you out isn't fooling anyone. They can see the dates and the lack of activity on their accounts. You had 2, 5 star ratings and nothing ore when I hired you... should have been the red flag to stay away.
