My friends and I stopped by this little spot since we were craving some asian food! The shop is homely and the workers were very friendly. We are originally from LA and we were surprised to see a hotpot restaurant in Lompoc. We were not disappointed by the food at all! The portions were generous for the price of each dish and we shared the Buldak Fries (i would highly recommend). The hotpot flavors were great and satisfied our craving! This is probably as close as we will get to authentic hotpot in lompoc. We really enjoyed our meal here, I would highly recommend.

The noodles were absolutely delicious. A perfect level of spice. I will definitely be coming back to try more. The ice cream selection is also interesting, so I will be trying that as well. The staff is nice and service was quick

Korean Wings (full size drumsticks!) and salmon bake (amazing!)

Warning: Food portions are larger than they appear on menu! What a delight. Came with my husband and we were prepared to order more food until we saw the portions that came! Definitely come with an appetite, or be happy with the inevitable leftovers. We enjoyed and will be back to try more items on the menu. Pictured: Salmon Bake. 8pc Korean Chicken Wings (Original)

First time trying Flare and will definitely come back! We loved the variety of dishes and food options they offer. They have many accommodations and modifications available. The staff are very kind, professional, and provide quick service. The location is small, but once inside, it's a nice vibe. I only wish the chairs were a bit more comfortable. Definitely recommend trying Flare out!

Maybe it's just me, but the food was nothing spectacular and choices were minimal I prefer noodle choices: tried the pork belly chile noodles Did not see the pork belly The chili sauce was more of a mush pile of what looked like chorizo with green onions on top of noodles The flavor was different to other Asian dishes I have tried. My husband had the seafood hotpot and mentioned it lacked flavor. Only one waitress who was running around attending to everyone including door dash.

    Koren BBQ Wings

Hands down some of the best wings I've had in a minute. These Korean fried wings were crazy good, perfectly crispy on the outside, drenched in that sticky-sweet, spicy glaze that hits every taste bud. The flavor was bold without being too heavy, and the wings were legit fall-off-the-bone tender. The fries? Seasoned just right and actually stayed crispy even sitting on top of the saucy wings -- elite behavior. If you're craving wings that slap every single time, Flare's Korean fried wing is the move. 10/10, would destroy again.

    Seafoods hot pot.

Yummy. As Korean was satisfying experience. Good food. Good service. Good to drop in. First time trip to Solvang. Recommend highly to all It's bit mixed with Mediterranean style yet keeping the original Korean taste. Nicely done. Happy camper here.

    Gyoza and some Korean chicken

Forgot to take pictures but the food was good! Got the spicy tonkatsu with pork 9/10 and the pork katsu curry 8/10 They're a little pricier than some places but the food was good no complaints! Well maybe the chicken could be a little crispier. Other than that the service was great as well would definitely come back if in the area

A side note: real silverware and plates/bowls are offered only if you dine inside the restaurant's premises. Since we opted to sit in the general area, our orders were prepared as a to-go set. After browsing through their menu, we chose the following dishes: Beef Pho: The broth was quite savory, tangy, and a tad sweet. The thin rice noodles were slightly soft. The filet mignon slices were tender, and the beef balls had good texture. The sauce and bean sprots were given on the side. Bangkok Street Noodle: The broth was flavorful, spicy, and quite tangy. The thin noodles had a balanced firmness. There was a nice blend of sliced BBQ pork, minced meat, meatballs, and fried wontons, then garnished with chili, cilantro and green onion on top. Shrimp Summer Roll: The rice paper wrap had a pleasant chewy texture. The ingredients were super fresh and satisfyingly crunchy. The tanginess of the mango and cucumber went well with slightly sweet hoisin style sauce. The mint provided a quite refreshing taste and aroma to the rolls. A beautiful fusion of colorful visual presentation and exquisite taste. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal. Highly recommended.

Super attentive, genuinely hardworking, and honestly impressive. I ordered the crispy milkfish (the famous Filipino national fish), and my husband had the chicken skewers. The seasoning was slightly bold, but with rice it was perfectly balanced -- exactly how it should be. At the next table, a group ordered noodles and Crispy Pata. What a generous portion of the food! Let me just say: that pork leg looked like something a medieval barbarian would proudly feast on. Huge. Legendary. Easily enough for four people. This is not a "small portion" place. This is a come hungry, leave very full kind of place -- in the best way. We were curious about the ube ice cream, and they kindly treated us to it. A lovely surprise and a sweet ending. Bonus: Bible verses on the walls made the whole space feel warm and welcoming. Great food, generous portions, kind people. This feels like a place destined to succeed. We'll be back.

The flavor was alright but I've had better lumpia anywhere else. Also curiously small in size. Lechon Kawali: Whenever we got a piece of the pork rind/skin it was nice and crispy. Unfortunately all we got in our order was pork skin. Only about 10% was any actual pork meat. We basically got chicharron. Pancit Bihon: This was the third best part of our order. There was a nice assortment of proteins, got some shrimp, chicken, and sausage. However it was a bit dry. Garlic Rice: Nice and flavorful, not too oily or salty. My favorite savoury item that I tried. Can't go wrong and it complements every main dish. Halo Halo: This was the best part of our order. The ube ice cream complimented the other ingredients. It was sweet (as it should be) but this was balanced by all the different textures. As far as service goes, we chose to do takeout so can't speak much on that. The wait was about half an hour which may have been longer than usual because a large birthday party was dining in when we arrived. We were assisted as promptly as the single worker taking orders could. The interior is very casual. One thing I'd keep in mind if dining in is that the place can get pretty smokey. Not sure how their ventilation system is but when I came back to pick up my order, the inside was looking a little hazy. Cost would deter me from coming back because our order was nearly $70 for what we got. The Halo Halo alone was $10. The quality of what we got did not justify the high price. It could have just been a bad day because they had a bigger party to tend to but it shouldn't affect the quality of food coming out even if it's just for first time take-out orders.

We decided to take a bet and try it out and was pleasantly surprised by how authentic and great the food tasted. We ordered mapo tofu medium spice and beef stir fry with onions. It also came with pork and you can choose to put meat on it or not. The beef stir fry had really good flavor and matched well with rice. We ended up finishing everything and we were very content with our dinner. The service was great, and the food came very fast. There was actually only one other guest party other than us. We assume it's because it's weekday and not many people are in the area. I hope more people check this place out. The only thing is the price is overpriced for the food but food quality and authenticity is very good!

Personal preference but, I believe it is a crime to not have brisket when serving pho. The only options left were dry, tougher cuts that felt very mediocre. Regarding the broth, it was overwhelmingly bland. It was extremely clear and had minimal fat. Again personal preference but, it seems they had extracted all of the fat after simmering the beef and that left the broth so lackluster. We also got the Thai tea and my girlfriend thought it was delicious. Regarding the ambiance, I think Noodle City tries their best making use of their limited space. However, it wasn't very clean: the spoons were a bit dirty, it seemed like the floor isn't cleaned often, and the utensil/condiment holder on our table was a mess with the chopsticks about to fall off the table. As for the service, they had plenty on their hands tonight as a ~12 top came in shortly after us and they a line out the door until right before we left. They checked in multiple times, however, we did have to mention our thai tea was forgotten and got it AFTER our pho came out. It also seemed like there was an altercation with a male server and the party of 12: orders were confused and he yelled "well figure it out". Overall, I've been to Noodle City for ~3 years and I think they have GREAT rice dishes. However, their pho is pretty mediocre, service is often fast but not friendly, and prices are always CHEAP.
