Olive burger and homemade chips

I had the Flanigan's Reuben sandwich with their homemade chips which were good but I wish they would have had salt on them. My friend had at the olive burger and homemade chips and she said it was a tasty burger. I wouldn't say our dishes were outstanding but they were very good. A nice atmosphere but probably more for a younger trendy crowd.

Found this place on Aadvantage Dining. It was 4.2 stars, but 9 of the 14 reviews were the same guy giving them a 5. This is a fun sports bar, with a hit-and-miss menu that you need to know how to order correctly. Unfortunately our waitress was new, hadn't eaten anything on the menu, and couldn't help us naviate it very well. It's welcoming and had great music, and a fun atmosphere. We came in looking for the rib basket from another Yelp! review. However, that and the "cowboy burger" mentioned were either from old menu's (12 months ago) or specials. We had the "Walleye basket" and "Perch dinner". The fish was very lightly breaded, and cooked well. We really enjoyed the fish! However, the dinner salads came at the same time at the meal. Either it took too long to make the salad, or the meal was pre-prepared (as in not fresh, or not cooked to order)...so that always puts me off a bit. The thousand island dressing on my salad as thin and watery (but they specialize in Reubens, which really set me up for very high expectations. I guess). The tartar sauce for the fish, and the cole slaw were Sysco/ Lisanti pre-packaged. The baked potato was microwaved, and although steaming hot... still undercooked. However, I really did enjoy the in-house made chips and the homemade onion rings. Highly recommend them both. They have a nice patio... and Thursday night is "Bike Night". I really enjoyed this place, but it's a sports bar with some decent food. The smell of smoke as you enter reminds you that this is not "fine dining", although some of the menu is delicious. I would give it 3.5 stars... but coming in thinking this is a 5 star (as it is currently rated) might be misleading to others and give them too high of expectations, so they get the 3 side of it.

Nice bar. Food is a little better than average. Nice crowd. Service is great. Just wish they had more Michigan brews on tap.

Old school Irish pub which has served Saginaw's heart for many decades. All of Saginaw's best have…read moremade their way through this bar at some point. If this bar was located in Chicago as is, it would be a popular every night stop. Here, it's effing dead during our midweek stop. The only eye candy was the bar maiden which was years younger than me, but with the dim light and sleepy appearance I really couldn't make out much. Booze can be a bit pricey, but not more than a chain restaurant. They have some very fine beer taps, clean lines so the beer taste is brisk. Many of their drafts and bottles are Irish reminiscent. Think of an older Irish pub, dark woods, dimly lit, the old smell of cigar smoke, pennant flags of coats of armor hanging from the ceiling. Dark tiled ceiling, rustic lamps and paintings, while the bar maiden had said they have a pretty good college following on college night, I'm believing their clientele more that most customers belong to the late thirty's and older plus crowd. I'm told that one could easily find an older cougar on the prowl or older well to do daddy looking for skullduggerous actions. Their men's room is a shanty and should be set a blaze. Pulling up to the stall I was to use my manhood to swat away like a swashbuckler at the hordes of fruit flies coming to attack thee. At least twenty or more, disgusting; the urinal has a permanent urine stain. The toilet stall was no better, here resided just a handful of fruit flies, but from the smell and look of the water, I'd say at least a few other men had pissed and not flushed before me. YUCKY, I hate the hair raising feeling of a filthy washroom. You have to imagine that others have sat on that toilet, poor fellow.. to sit and then find fruit flies flying up your ass. Terrible. Other then that bullshit, with the right band or banging DJ, you could be JUMPING around to some banging beats and having a great time. Parking is limited to the street and there are some local parking lots. I'm not sure about the neighborhood, it may have once thrived but is now lethargic.

The late night crowd really ruins this place for me.
