Had an awesome experience at the Radisson...except for this restaurant. We stopped in Sunday morning after reviewing the breakfast menu prominently displayed on a stand out front. After being seated our waitress ?Sand B invited us to help ourselves to the buffet. We told her the entree we wanted from the menu, and she promptly told us only the buffet was available. $21 per person for a sub-par buffet. Stale biscuits, watery scrambled eggs, gravy with a skimmed-over crust, and some sort of cut-open breakfast wrap that looked like it had been sitting for days. All very odd for ~7:30 AM. Also unusual, there were 4-5 waitstaff up front at the hostess stand just chatting. We never saw one move except for our waitress. As we were paying our check, another couple was seated behind us and also asked to order something from the menu. However this time ?Sand B informed them if they didn't want the buffet they could order menu items from the bar. The whole experience was a let down. I'm not sure if it's the intent of the restaurant manager for Sunday to be buffet only, or if it's just something the staff decided on their own, but the menu-not-menu and different stories between the two tables seemed pretty shady. I've worked in customer service for decades. This is the first time I decided not to leave a tip for a waitress that I can remember. I would recommend the McDonalds across the street to save $ and get fresher food. read more

This is probably one of the worst hotel breakfast I've ever eaten at. The only reason why we ate here was, it was included in our package. First the selection was very poor. Second there's an omelet station, but not being used. Third the food is not very good Fourth overpriced Fifith poor service Sixth no vegan option at all other then a banana Last, skip eating here, go somewhere else. You'd think with such a simple bar-like menu they'd get your food right and it'll come out in a descent time...not. Took forever on a chip/dip appetizer, and our food. The so-called Philly Cheesesteak was on a pretzel bun, not a hoagie type roll but that's only an aesthetic point. The true crux was that the meat had no seasoning and no flavor. The spinach/artichoke dip was watery but the soft pretzel dippers were good. The cheese dip was average. The fries were really good. They came out fresh, crispy and hot. The drink menu Ingres used a lot of Mexican brand spirits. The staff was pretty good except our waitress (Dana) left us in the dark when our food was late. I feel like I talked more to the managers than her. They came over and apologized about our food before we had even realized it was taking so long. I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. I wanted to keep it simple, since I was leaving on a cruise the next day, so I decided to eat at Flamingo's. BIG mistake! The food is all processed and very, very bland. I ordered a Rib Eye steak with broccoli and fries. The broccoli was processed and obviously previously frozen with no flavor at all. The fries were bulk frozen "seasoned" fries. The rib eye was bland, no salt, no pepper, no seasoning at all. It tasted like it had been in the freezer too long. I tried a house salad and it obviously came out of a package and was presented with a side of dressing in a plastic "to-go" ramekin with a plastic lid. I had also ordered the fried shrimp as an appetizer, they were so deep fried that there was absolutely no flavor at all. Again, served with cocktail sauce in a plastic "to-go" ramekin with a plastic lid. Other members of my group had the BBQ ribs which had been previously frozen and slathered in BBQ sauce. They also tried the chicken tenders, which were extremely deep fried, had no seasoning and were obviously taken from a bulk bag of frozen, processed chicken tenders. They served them on a cardboard take-out tray. They don't appear to "cook" anything. They are just heating up or deep frying previously frozen items. I would recommend Zachary's Family Restaurant or Kelsey's Italian Restaurant, both of which are on either side of the Radisson. If you cross the street to McDonalds and go up one block, there is even the Florida Beer Company. All of which are 100% better than Flamingo's. I'd never recommend Flamingo's to anyone. read more

My family and I decided to just eat in the hotel, seeing as it was getting later in the evening, and there was talk about going to the pool afterward. It took the staff close to 10 minutes to seat us because they said they had a table just open, and they need to clean it off. I'm not sure why we has to wait for that specific table since there were several other tables open. Hmmm? Our waitress looked to be of college age. Not animated. Not rude, but not bubbly, not a talker. I ordered their Stuffed Chicken Breast - spinach, Parmesan cheese, cream sauce, a few sautéed mushrooms, and roasted red peppers on top. Came with a side of steamed veggies (zucchini and egg plant). The food was warm when brought out. But it had no flavor - neither the chicken nor veggies!! I proceeded to sprinkle salt all over the plate :( I ate it, yes, but only cause I was quite hungry. Otherwise, I would for sure have sent it back and got something else (their evening special of ribeye steak was extremely juicy and full of flavor - I tried a piece of my mother's dish). I decided to give this establishment a chance to redeem themselves, so I ordered a piece of cheese cake. I was disappointed from the get-go. First off, the dessert had only a thin drizzle of caramel on top. This is an automatic down grade from me - no fruit on cheese cake is a severe no-no, in my opinion. I bit down into the dessert and was again disappointed. It had a powder taste. Obviously frozen, not fresh. Packaged. I didn't even eat all of it :( The prices here were quite high. I believe Flamingos is part of Raddison Hotel Resort at this location. I called hotel to make reservations for Easter brunch. The hotel staff was clueless and transferred me from one place to another. When I finally did get to restaurant at 1130am, I don't know who answered, may have been cleaning staff for all I know, I was hung up on twice and third time was told to call hotel desk for reservations. I will never ever spend a nickel at a Raddison or at Flamingos. As a follow up, I was just informed that the food is horrible at Flamingos anyway. read more

Don't eat breakfast here, it was truly disgusting!! For $14.95 for a hot buffet everything was cold and bland. The best tasting items on the bar were the fresh fruit and cold cereal. The service was great though our waitress was attentive. Dinner the night before was wonderful and tasty and hot. Breakfast was so disappointing I expected good food. McDonald's across the street would have tasted better and definitely would have been hot and good and cheaper. Escaping Hurricane Irma's destruction came to Cape Canaveral for a mini Vaca. Got lucky and secured a room at the Raddison. We spent the two days at the pool, having lunch and dinner at the Tiki Bar Flamingo's. It was awesome. We loved the food, and the kids swam until 8pm at their beautiful pool. People were very accommodating and friendly. Thanks Raddison for a wonderful time, but alas it's time to go home to Titusville. read more

We were not very specific in our food so we went for the first restaurant we found. Flamingos was very basic and not very expensive. When we got our meals we found out why. The fried shrimp was so deeply fried that there was no taste left. It was served with a cocktail sauce that wasn't spicy but extremely bitter. The appetizers were even served on a cardboard plate instead of a normal plate. The main course was ok, nothing special. The big problem was that during our entire sit down there were fries lying on the floor around our table. Multiple times the waiters stepped onto them but no one cleaned it up, even after we asked them to clean it up no one came. Very disappointing! They told us they had a breakfast buffet for $10.00 and when we arrived, they cancelled it because there weren't many checkouts. We decided to have breakfast anyway. Very slow kitchen. No idea why this should be, as the restaurant was not even half full. It was our waitress's first night and she was as good as can be expected. One of our group had the steak special. It tasted good, but was undercooked. My wife ordered the filled veggie salad. They must have run out of grilled veggies, because there was next to none on the plate of spinach leaves that showed up. If you run out of something, let the diner know so they can make another selection!! Duh! We paid way too much for a meal that was equivalent to something that I could've paid $8.00 for at Long John Silvers. We live in Cape Canaveral and wanted to try this place, the food was just ok but the price of the drinks were very high. checked my bank account the next day and the charge pending from The Flamingo resturant was about $10 higher then my bill, now I have to call them when there open and clear that up. Me and mu husband had breakfast here, we had a free voucher since we were here on our honeymoon. The food was decent, not amazing but filling. The waiter didn't come around as often as I would have liked. The buffet was convienient but the utensils to pick things up wetr almost way to hot to use. I did enjoy their fresh fruit however. Worst food I've ever had. EVER! I wasn't expecting much, but this was beyond bad. I ordered the local grouper and it was so bad I had to send it back (tiny flat piece that had clearly been sitting in butter or some fake butter for days). The calamari came undercooked and still cold. The "best" red wine they had was not drinkable. I sat there looking at my bowl of broccoli thinking "well, at least I have broccoli". Went to this restaurant w my family of four last Saturday night and it was amazing. Service was very friendly and prompt and the food was delicious. I ordered a chicken breast stuffed with portabella mushrooms and cheese and topped with a delicious tomato cream sauce. We chose this hotel because it is close to the port where we are leaving for our first cruise this weekend! We decided to take 5 days and explore Disney and Cocoa beach before our cruise. The hotel is pretty good, older but maintained well. The pool tiki bar was fun at night and the food was good. The people were outstanding! The front desk (I think it was Sean), housekeeping and the breakfast people always gave us great suggestions on what to do that day and where to go for dinner locally. Our server on Sunday and Monday was a girl named Page. She was very funny, made sure ou rcoffee was always full and helped us figure out what to do in Cocoa Beach. The front desk also was very helpful. I left my sunglasses and Sean found them and kept them safe for me. The people made the stay wonderful. Keep it up! Terribly disappointed! We had to brush the crumbs off our chairs before we sat down. The server had no idea what an IPA beer was. After consulting the bartender, an IPA beer was deliver in an unopened can with no accompanying glass. The margarita was watered down. Drinks were never refilled when needed. Our food arrived on plates lined with checkered parchment paper, tacky! The food was cold and obviously frozen and reheated. It had no seasoning and no taste. My daughter nearly choked on a fish bone in the fish wrap. For a restaurant located in such a beautiful hotel, I was expecting a better experience. On a bright note, the supervisor did give us a 25% discount on our bill. Gordon Ramsey would have a hay day here. read more
