I grew up eating Mediterranean and Armenian food, so I have pretty high standards, and this is honestly one of the best restaurants of its kind I've ever been to. I've eaten Mediterranean food all over Burbank and Glendale, where there are so many great options, and Flaming Kebob is right up there with the very best. Everything was fresh, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. If you're not familiar with the menu, don't hesitate to ask--they're happy to explain the different dishes. I wasn't familiar with many of the food names, and they took the time to help me understand. While I was there, I noticed a customer having difficulty communicating with the cashier. She immediately got who I believe was the owner, who spoke the customer's language with a smile and made sure they felt welcomed. It was such a kind moment to witness. I ordered the beef plate and WOW, every item on the plate was fresh. salad crisp, beef so perfectly tender, rice so moist with flavor, sauces definitely fresh made that day. I asked the lady taking my order questions, she was patient and made recommendations. I decided on the beef lule plate with the beef flat kebab a la carte. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The meat was tender with flavor, the rice was perfect, a nice crisp salad and a lovely dressing, peta bread, a grilled tomato and the best hummus I've ever had, everything worked well together. New restaurant in the High Desert. I have been waiting patiently for its opening for many months. It is set up for a casual dining experience with ordering and payment at a counter. The interior smelled so good from the grilling of the well seasoned meat! The food here is made to order so expect a short wait in their dining room. I ordered the Lamb Chop Plate. It comes with rice, salad, hummus, grilled jalapeno, grilled Roma tomato, and pita. There are three lamb chops to an order. Grilled to a medium-well temperature, these were seasoned and tender. I normally will not order lamb because of the inherent gaminess of this protein. Due to the seasoning, the lamb chops only had a hint of that characteristic flavor and, with their garlic sauce as a dip, it is not detectable at all. Perfect for the lamb adverse. Thoroughly delicious! Their garlic sauce is very flavorful with a smooth, light consistency. The hummus is garlicky and lemony in flavor. It is a nice accompaniment to dip the pita in. The lightly dressed salad, grilled jalapeno and tomato, were fresh tasting. The rice is regular long grained rice instead of basmati but was very buttery and fluffy in texture. This was a generously portioned meal and very satisfying. Service is polite and efficient. Beverages are self-service from the refrigerator. I definitely will return to try their other menu items such as the lule kabobs. Plenty of parking in their lot. read more
