Our server took our order, someone else dropped off the food, and then she completely disappeared. We had to wave her down just to get drink refills. My sister ordered two sushi rolls. While eating the Mango Tango Roll, she noticed something tasted strange. With only three bites left, she pulled a large piece of clear plastic out of her mouth. We then checked the remaining pieces and found more plastic rolled inside the sushi. She had already eaten most of the roll before realizing she had been chewing and swallowing food contaminated with plastic. It was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. When we flagged down our server, her response was, "It's just the plastic they use when rolling the sushi." As if that somehow made it okay. There should never be plastic inside a customer's food, regardless of how it got there. Instead of showing concern, she acted like it was no big deal. The only thing they did was remove the cost of the half plastic eaten sushi roll. No manager came to our table to apologize. The sushi chef never acknowledged the mistake or apologized either. In fact, as we were leaving, the chef simply yelled, "Thank you," without any recognition of what had happened. The complete lack of accountability and concern was almost as disturbing as finding plastic in the food itself. We still ended up paying over $100 for our meal and left with terrible service, a ruined dining experience, and genuine concerns about the restaurant's food safety standards. After nearly a decade of supporting this business, this experience has completely destroyed our trust. If this is how serious food safety incidents are handled, I can't recommend eating here.
