I found Flame Fixers on Yelp, due to the rating and it was definitely justified. They were easy to schedule with, and on my appointment day Gil came out to service my grill. He was very knowledgeable about grills and walked me through what the issue was. He suggested the fix and gave me several options. Even better, he offered to come out and assist if I decided to do the suggestion (new grill hose installation) if needed. After service, I received a courtesy follow up call from Melanie, which I thought was great customer service. I highly suggest this company should you have any grill issues. We bought our home and been here a year without being able to use our fireplace. After searching around and found flame fixers we decided to go for it and get it fixed. Reached out to them for service to get it fixed and is not know what was wrong with it since it was never used prior to us buying the home. I have a wood burning fireplace at my house but I've never used it. Last winter passed us by, so this year I resolved to get it checked before we touched anything. I put in a Request a Quote to Flame Fixers and a few other local businesses for quotes for an inspection and, if needed, cleaning. Gil replied quickly and was the only provider who gave separate quotes for the inspection and cleaning. I messaged on Saturday evening and by Sunday morning we had an appointment set up for late Monday morning. Gil arrived early and got straight to work inspecting the flue and determined the unit was good to use as is - that it just needs a light cleaning inside the firebox. He was clear that everything was in working order and a cleaning would be unnecessary but available if I wanted it. He also gave me some advice on how to clean it myself and answered some questions I had without rushing. We called Flame Fixers to take care of two issues we were having. One with our BBQ where a handyman switched the BBQ from natural gas to propane and wasn't aware that other changes had to be made. The second was a fire pit that was completely rusted out. The repair man, Gil, came and immediately identified what work needed to be done and explained to us what items we had to get for the fire pit before he came with the parts to repair everything. Gil showed up at the scheduled time and fixed the BBQ perfectly. The fire pit had several issues that thankfully Gil had the experienced to correct and the fire pit is working like new. I called flame fixers for a quote to look at my fireplace that was not working. They quoted me 80 dollars. I then called another place and they quoted me 200 dollars. So obviously I went with Flame fixers. Gill came out to look at my outdoor fireplace and he said he thinks it could be a simple battery issue. I did not know they had batteries. So he changed the batteries in the switch and walla, it worked. He did not try to upsale me or throw anything extra in. I told him how the other place was trying to charge me 200 dollars for a quote and he said the other place is trying to add a cleaning with the inspection and that is why they are charging so much more. He said some places add extra services to jack up the price. I totally appreciate the honesty and expert service I received from Gill and Flame Fixers. Definately recommend. read more

They finally came back and put a used part on and then charged an additional $380 for another part which they never told us about. It was quite the fiasco. We had an issue with our fire pit and couldn't find the right valve to replace the one that went bad and couldn't find the right one as it needed an adapter. Flame fixers took some time and figured out a way to make it work. They also fixed our gas fireplace in the house that hasn't worked for over 12 years. He cleaned it out discovered there was a bad switch and now we have our fireplace back and it looks like a brand new unit! I would recommend them highly. We had two fireplaces that needed attention including cleaning, but after reviewing the price options, we decided to stick to the one fireplace that needed the most attention. A few hundred dollars down, and having parts repaired, we're still at square one; a fireplace that doesn't work and the promise that a fix might be found in the future. Gill does a poor job communicating in a timely fashion. It is incumbent on the customer to keep calling and my most recent inquiries about the status of the repair have gone unanswered.
