The last time I got my hair cut, I went to a random person at Ulta because I was in a rush and getting out of town the next day and just needed a quick cut. As we started chatting, I quickly found out that this stylist had recently broke up with her bf - and she was wildly talking about the drama. Each chop of the scissors represented her hatred for that man - she ruined my hair like she was Edward scissor hands! It's been over 6 months since I've had my haircut due to needing to let it grow out. Needless to say I was nervous to have a new person style my hair again, but I've recently moved to California and needed a new stylist anyway. Kate listened to what happened last time (because as she looked at my hair she could tell how choppy and uneven the previous stylist had left my hair). She also listened to what I wanted in regards to color and did her best to execute it. When it came time to trim my hair, she was very quiet and concentrated on what she was doing - which I totally appreciate after the past trauma of the crazy drama stylist! I'm totally happy with how the partial color and trim turned out and will definitely return. Thank you, Kate!

I've been seeing her for almost 7 years now and I don't even think about trying a new salon. Michelle listens to your wants and needs. She also asks the right questions to ensure there is no miscommunication and you always leave happy and satisfied. I've been to other places where I thought I was very clear with what I want and I end up leaving with something totally different and feeling frustrated. You won't experience that with Michelle. Michelle is knowledgeable about hair, styling, and products. She will walk you through a whole process so you have a better understanding of how to care for your hair at home. My hair has been dyed and relaxed so many times in the past I didn't know I have naturally wavy hair. I didn't know how to care for it or style it, but Michelle taught me and gave me various tips. Past experiences with other salons I've always felt unheard or pushed to buy products that maybe the hairstylist doesn't or wouldn't even use themselves. With Michelle you get a down to earth, genuine, and caring person. The location is easily accessible and there's always plenty of parking. Michelle's actual salon is cute and relaxing. She always makes sure you get a relaxing and stress free experience. Here a few photos of Michelle's work on my hair.

Hands down, Michelle provides the best salon experience I have had anywhere…read more I'm a brand new client and was looking for a curly cut/consultation, neither of which I've ever had, and was a little wary after my last experience at a different salon. Michelle immediately put me at ease - she asked detailed, comprehensive questions about my current routine and hair goals, and took her time examining my natural hair to give accurate, reasonable input about cut methodology, length, and process for the best result that could be had today, and how to maintain hair health moving forward. Every step of the process was explained in an accessible way, and also, the scalp detox/head massage was absolutely wonderful. So refreshing! You really get a complete, educational picture of the entire process without judgment and a luxury experience with premium clean beauty products. She showed me how to diffuse properly, detailed product amounts and application methods, went step by step and showed me with a handheld mirror so I could replicate the methodology on my own. The results are absolutely fabulous. I've never seen my hair have such uniform curl throughout. Michelle is generous with her time, her knowledge, and clearly tailors each experience to the individual needs of every client. I am absolutely blown away and beyond thrilled with the entire experience, and so, so happy with my hair, and feel like I've walked away with new knowledge that can be reasonably applied in my daily routine, which is honestly priceless for the curly girls who know what a challenge it can be sometimes. Michelle is an absolute diamond amongst curl/wave specialists and I will literally never go anywhere else. She provides something truly special.
