They even have little tray tables next to every seat. Lets face it , Going to a movie is getting very expensive. I took my son & nephew to AMC and spent over $60 on admission and snacks. This place offers daily admission specials of $7 for shows before 5 pm. and every Tuesday all movies are $6. It is in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. I always check this place first for a movie listing. Its also nice to support a business in the county thats family owned.

The way they used the entire stage and the lawn outside to incorporate into the show was awesome. The voices of the actors/actresses were unbelievable as well--the entire show was wonderful. Les Mis is my favorite show and I have seen it in many formats over the year-but nothing in an open air amphitheater with such a small audience. I was blown away by the talent of the cast and when reading their bio's after the show, it makes sense-as the majority of these actors have been on Broadway or been acting in other major theaters. The amphitheater structure is brand new this year and is modern, inviting and all the seats have a great view of the stage. I feel like this place is such a hidden gem-I cannot wait to return to see another show in the future. We also did a picnic overlooking the Hudson River and beyond was breathtaking. They even have an area where you can check in your picnic items so you don't have to run back to the car before the show to put everything away. They even had golf carts to help transport folks from the parking lot to the picnic and show area. They open 2 or 2.5 hrs before the show for folks to come an picnic on the lawn--we brought all of our own stuff, but there is an option to preorder picnic snacks/sandwiches etc. that they will deliver to you. The staff was efficient and very friendly-if you get a chance to go and check out this new amphitheater and picnic before the show-you will not be disappointed!

The empanadas and tacos were DELICIOUS!!! There was a seafood truck, the empanada master, and much much more! The music was GREAT!!! the people were great! A lot of awesomeness!! Sadly this is a one day event but I believe they're having another one during the winter and probably a few next summer! I had a great time over there.. it's going on till 6pm apparently so if you can get over there in time, do it up!!!!

I've been to numerous inaugural music festivals, with varying degrees of success. This was the…read morefirst inaugural, 1-day festival that I had been to, which lets face it- has got to be much easier to pull off than a 3-day. Plus, the festival was at a regional airport, so there wasn't really traffic/city/infrastructure issues to deal with either. But a success nonetheless... Obviously, the main draw for any music festival is the music. SoS Fest was put on by Radio Woodstock (same crew that puts on Mountain Jam), to celebrate their 35th year, so you'd expect a similar genre'd festival- and that is to say Rock/Southern Rock/Folk. 2015 was headlined by The Avett Brothers, with a bill that also included Hot Tuna, and Chris Robinson Brotherhood, to name a few. For me, it was all about the Avett Brothers and the $55 ticket was worth seeing them (2.5 hour set) alone. The sound here was great. There was a quarantined off area of GA for people to put their chairs/blankets, then the rest was standing room. It was super easy to get close for the headliner, as I think a lot of families left by then (children 10 and under were free). I had never been so close to the stage for Avett Brothers before, and it was kind of surreal. There were ample porto-potties. Food was supplied by local Hudson Valley vendors, and was pretty good. There were also local artisans selling goods throughout the festival as well as activities for children. There were a fair amount of kids running about (almost enough to be a buzzkill) as a lot of parents neglected to keep their children in check. All in all, I really enjoyed this festival, but in all honesty, it was really just an Avett Brothers concert for me; the other acts were great, but it was just a glorified concert IMO. Either way, if they have Avett on the bill next year, I'll surely make the 2+ hour trek from NYC once again.
