Nice 9 hole course not too far from downtown Chicago. It's very short but is in good condition and nice to look at. The facility has a lighted driving range as well. Pace was quite slow despite the short length even as a walker. There were ball washers on nearly every hole, 2 water coolers, and 2 portapotties. The practice green was in worse condition than the actual greens. Some tee boxes were torn up, but only required finding a new spot, so not terrible. You won't lose many balls because it's open but there's minimal risk of hitting onto another hole. There are some deals to be had on apparel but sizes are limited. I would certainly return. It easily becomes a 5 star deal if pace picks up and tee boxes are improved. read more

Played an early 9 holes on Saturday morning. The course was in great shape for a local muni course and everyone at the course was extremely friendly and accommodating. I am thinking about making it a weekly visit to this course. Great deal you can't beat. Highly recommend checking this place out for a quick 9. read more

The starter is absolutely rude and probably racist. Speaking on "can't you read the sign" I can't imagine if someone actually can't read signs or if English isn't their first language. She screams and belittles you in front of everyone. Out of the 4 in our group, the one lady was shaking and upset, and 2 others requested a refund because that is not the way to treat human beings. The course itself is fine but that 1 human can completely ruin your day, so either prepare yourself to deal with that or just skip this place altogether. Not beginner friendly, not friendly, period, actually. It's not worth it. One star for the man inside who issued the refunds. read more

My buddies and I went out (the six of us) at two different tee times, one after the other. We were never planning to play as a six-some, as that would've severely slowed down play. The rain started to fall after our first hole drives, so we had to evacuate. We sAt in our cars to wait it out, and eventually came back to the (now mostly empty) course to start our round again. Since it was so empty, we asked the starter if the six of us could all just tee of together, and she said yes. So off we went, and were playing at a decent pace until we were eventually caught up to by a single player, who we agreed with the ranger to let play through. The ranger helped us along the way, making sure that our day of golf wasn't ruined by the pace of play, the weather, etc. In fact, he moved us BACK a few holes, and actually allowed us to play a few extra, which we all appreciated greatly. Two holes later, things began to take a turn for the worse. The same ranger who we had been speaking with throughout the round came up to us to explain that the Starter had "not authorized us to leave the first hole as a six-some", even though she did. Her cart came screaming down the path towards us, and when she arrived she began to call us liars, and accused us of mincing her words and disgracing her good name (granted we saw this woman for about 5 minutes at the very start of the round, and that's it). After she was done chewing us out (as well as not letting us explain ourselves whatsoever) she let us go on our way, and we split up into groups of 4 and 2 (which we offered to do from the start, and the other ranger had told us that 6 would be ok). Just an awful awful experience at a place I have loved for years, and will no longer be coming back to. If you end up going to Flagg, make sure that you check with the starter at least 5-10 times before you begin your round that you and your friends are ok to go out on the course. If not, she'll treat you like a child. As all of my buddies and I are recent high school grads, we felt so terrible about it all. read more

I was invited to play an evening round of 9 with my partner and his friend. This was my first time playing at Flagg Creek. As we started we noticed 3 young boys ahead of us in which they didn't rent a cart (no biggie) it was obvious that they were taking their time. Again no big deal as we were being respectful as there are some people who can be slower than others. As I first tee'd off first hole I noticed the ranger driving up to me asking me if I just picked up a ball (my ball) I said yes. Then just stood there. I ignored him and continued my game. Then ranger came back and decided to tell us to just play a quick game. We stood there confused. Again continued our game. We kept getting held up as the boys in front of us were slow. I am not a professional of any sort so we let the boys ahead of us finish their game. Then ranger came back and told us that the party in back of us are complaining that we are slow and need to pick up the pace. I kindly told the ranger that the boys ahead of us were taking their time and were walking the course and that was holding us back. Not at any moment did he drive up to the boys to tell them something. This ranger made my experience a not so well pleasant one. I felt rushed and tormented by this ranger. read more

Tried to take my three sons golfing on a Monday afternoon at flag freak. We had a really awful experience. We are new to golf and obviously we are way too slow for flag Creek. The Ranger followed us around encouraging us to get a refund and leave the course. Very disappointing. Now I don't think my boys will ever like golf read more

I went to their driving range for the first time this season. They use the turf mats but did not fill up the whole driving range with them. There was a lot of unused space and the mats were not 6 feet apart either. This also created a long wait for people in line to use the driving range. This was out first time playing Flagg Creek. The greens, tees and fairways were in very good shape. After playing numerous golf courses in the Chicagoland area, and noticing several having severe turf conditions, we were very impressed at the quality we experienced at Flagg Creek. I wish it was a little closer to where we live, because it would be a course we'd play on a regular basis. Kudos to the Golf Course Superintendent! read more

I played golf here with a friend and was a fan of the course. During the round I purchased a drink from the cart lady and had to give her my card as she needed to go back to the clubhouse to run it. Following the duration of my nine-hole round I was promptly told that they had searched high and low, but alas, my card was lost. I then proceeded to cancel my card for precautionary purposes, and of course, asked to speak to the manager so I could be compensated in some way for this annoying inconvenience. I was told the manager wasn't there so I should leave my name, number and they would get back to me. Three or four days later I was forced to call a manager myself because not a single person reached out. Once I finally did the legwork to reach a manager they told me I could have a free round whenever I'd like -- very fair. All I had to do was call the manager's number and let them know I was coming in. Well, yesterday I called, got a voicemail and left a message with all the appropriate info. Here we are 24 hours later and there has been no contact back to me in any way. Again, I enjoyed the course, but overall, the management displayed in dealing with what should have been something so simple has been absolutely horrific and rude. I won't be playing any more golf here. read more

I have gone to Flagg Creek numerous times, though the last was a terrible experience. The course itself is okay-nothing special, though the service is terrible. Many of the employees have treated me terribly and with little respect when I come here. Especially the Starter. We booked a tee time, arrived (after paying) just to hear that they gave away our time (keep in mind we were there at our time). Fortunately, the manager seemed to be the only empathetic one on the course and was able to refund us, though the service we had that day was very bad. For this reason, I will not be returning any time soon. read more

Cheap, effective driving range, and the restaurant's drink menus are well priced. We've been coming here a lot this summer. A 120 ball bucket only runs $10, and is easily split among friends. The course has a nice variety of landscaping for the range, and there are usually mats available even at the peak evening hours. A pitcher of Blue Moon only ran us $12 in the restaurant which was a fantastic way to wrap up a good session! read more

The worst golf experience I've ever had. I went with my teenage sons to golf and we were treated very rudely with the abrasive staff. The Starter was completely disorganized and was unnecessarily rude to all of the golfers she was making start late. The rangers were yelling at golfers as they drove by. Overall, it was a very stressful experience. Find anywhere else to take your family to golf. read more

How has this course not ever hosted a PGA Tour event? If there's ever a 9-hole PGA Tour event it should be held at Flagg Creek. I bet Tiger can't drive #3 off the tee. Me? I've muscled an 8-iron off that tee to pin high. From. The. Tips. Then I jammed in the putt for a sick eagle. People were driving down Willow Springs Road, honking their horns in support, as the eagle rolled in and I threw a fist pump so hard that literally ripped a hole in the space time continuum. read more

The course is in good shape. probably the perfect course to hone your game. but i had a terrible time cause they allow fivesomes. on top of that, it is a walking fivesome, and on top of that, they are old ladies. nothing against old ladies, but they tend to play slow. i really think the course has to take this into consideration when allowing fivesomes to go out. they should make them illegal. if nothing else, require them to take carts. read more

My family comes here often. The driving range is very affordable and you can play off the grass on the weekends if it's been dry. This is a public 9 hole course and it's very reasonably priced. I am a woman and have gone there and have not experienced any sexism from the other golfers or employees. I am definitely a beginner and if anything everybody was very encouraging. Great place to take kids. I see families out there a lot of the times I'm there. read more

My wife and I golfer here during a week day. We were told it wasn't busy and we would be able to golf alone. Little did we find out that we would have a group of children and a "golf instructor" directly behind us. We normally wouldn't mind but the instructor had the children stand approximately 30-50 yards from us on every hole waiting for us. Also, the golf instructor decided to leave half way through so the children were unsupervised for approximately 4 holes. The children were loud and at times were actually in front of us on the fairway. Lastly, when I complained politely to the girl behind the counter, I received "ok thank you" response with no apology or anything. We live 5 minutes from this course but are confident we will not be returning. What a waste. read more

Went to try a new golf course with 2 girlfriend's. If u would like to experience, rudeness & sexism this is the place for u. There was a men's league getting ready to tee off. A staff member told us to tee off while on the 1st hole a staff member appeared and told us they would give us a full refund, we ask why the men on the league were in a hurry and didn't want to wait. We said we would skip the 2nd hole so they would be happy. Staff member returned and informed us no the men didn't want us in front of them. We were shocked that the establishment would allow such bad behavior. The assistant manager who apologized & offered to comp us for another time and golf with us to ensure we wouldn't be mistreated. We declined why would we ever return. Apparently she felt if she accompanied us that would ensure proper behavior, that says it all!! Can someone please tell the Monday afternoon men's league that we r in the 21st Century!!! read more

Very friendly counter staff. Nice facility. Extremely affordable. This visit I only took advantage of the driving range. The system is fantastic due to the fact that you can split up your range balls between multiple visits if you choose. read more

I have played your course several times this year. It is well kept, the price is excellent. Your staff has always been welcoming and easy to deal with. I enjoy almost everything about the course. I do have 1 concern. I shot there yesterday, 7/1 / 2021. It took almost 3 hours. This is unacceptable. My tee time was 11:18. I teed off at 11:35. There was a foursome 2 in front of us that were way out of control slow. The threesome in front of actually had to pass them up on the third hole. I feel the Ranger should notify the foursome to play so many shots and then pick up your ball and move to the next hole. He made no effort to do so. If there is no one behind you, be as slow as you want. With people backing up behind you, show some golf etticate and pick up and move along. Every one should be able to play 9 holes in less than 2 hours. Something you can improve on. With that being said, I enjoy your course and will be back. I hope your management team can find a solution. read more

Great 9 hole course about a 25 minute ride from Chicago. It has a nice driving range to warm up at before teeing off. I'm guessing because it's early in the season, but yesterday my friend and I teed of at 2:30 and we were the ONLY two on the course. Plenty of golfers at the range but no one was playing on the course. The course itself is fairly short, but it has some challenging holes including a couple over water. There's a nice bar to grab some cold ones prior to playing and the beer is relatively cheap. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP! Worst golf course in the Midwest. The starer will talk to you like a child ( they act like they are doing you a favor by letting you golf here) The greens are awful, I would have a better time putting on the moon. Customer service is the absolute worst. They have these 2 old guys that drive around non stop that just complain to you the entire time. Ask you if you raked the sand at the last hole ( I was never in the sand) tell us to fix our ball marks ( we always did) one time the ranger came around and asked why my cart was parked the way it was. I just laughed and walked away. It's an over priced dumpy 9 hole course. I paid $62 at 4:30 on a Wednesday. They may advertise a special price on line but when you get there they will tell you it's for their park district residents only. read more

Visited Flagg Creek with my son for a round of golf. Pulled out my IL DL to prove my Countryside residency and was immediately asked if I had a Flagg Creek Membership Card-which I don't. Was told that next time I came to bring an electric bill for the opportunity to pay $5 for a membership card. Paid full non-resident rate. Was I offered an opportunity to get a membership card-Nope. The pro behind the counter never looked at my DL and gave me no explanation of charging me full price-and he's not going to win any personality awards either. Like I want to schlep utility bills around for a $5 golf membership card. So much for going to the neighborhood golf course. C'mon folks-treat your customer a little better than this. Lived in Countryside since 1992 BTW. Course itself is adequate and maintained decently. read more

The course itself is nice, but the service and the way they treat their patrons is not. Was golfing here over the summer, and sprinklers came on as we were in the middle of one of the fairways. Then a few holes later, there was a groundskeeper air-raiting one of the putting greens while we were trying to hit. This was an inconvenience both because there was a guy in the middle of the putting green we were trying to hit on to, but also because he was riding a giant, loud tractor...this is a golf course, not a tractor pull. It's not like this was during off hours either, this was peak time in the morning on a Saturday. When we went back in to the clubhouse after our round, we mentioned to the staff that we were unhappy about what had happened, they pretty much told us to deal with it...This is a nice 9 hole course, I only wish the staff and management were as well. I don't see myself going back to Flagg Creek. read more

Great restaraunt last year. This year was not the same. It has a very small menu and they can't make the things half the time. Also a very long wait time where half the time you get the wrong food. The workers were very grumpy and rude. Huge dissapointment. read more

Had a Tuesday morning tee time and when we arrived they said that they were aerating the greens. The practice green had been aerated already and although bumpy, the ball rolled okay on it so we figured we'd play. The first 2 holes went fine, but on the 3rd hole the entire green was covered in an inch of dirt! They had aerated it, but hadn't removed any the plugs that were pulled out. There wasn't even a hole or flag! The rest of the course was the same way so we bailed after 3 holes and wanted our money back. They charged us for the 2 holes we played (which is a joke), and only gave us a credit voucher for the remaining holes. They totally deceived us into paying a green fee by down-playing the fact that the greens were completely unplayable on most of the course (and I mean unplayable -- no hole, flag, and an inch of dirt!). Had we know that we would have gone elsewhere, but then they they wouldn't have gotten their $$ would they? To add insult when we come off the course after 2 holes they don't refund our money? Unethical and unacceptable. Skip this place, they're total shysters..... read more
