It's a little tricky to find the entrance, which is along the fence on the right side of the parking lot. You'll have to walk through a tunnel with your bag to reach the clubhouse area. Carts aren't permitted in the parking lot. The beverage cart stopped by as I finished the first hole saying she was off but the halfway house would be available, and it's quite accessible from multiple holes, just not in a single spot. This goes for the porta-potty availability as well. The course itself is well maintained and has interesting holes. Most are pretty straightforward but there is some thought to put in on where you hit for some holes. Cart paths are rough in some places and there could be some signage to help navigation but it's not hard to reorient yourself. I was pleased to find ball washers full of soap and water on every hole, though they did lack towels. Cart GPS was nice to have but may not have been super accurate on the flag position itself. No matter as it gives good measurements to the front and back of the green, just factor in the elevation when you hit. The starter helped with distance to trouble off the first tee and cleaned my clubs at the end of the round. 18 is tricky and I was aiming at the wrong green for a couple shots as the flag was hidden against the background of the building so I'd recommend putting the cup front or back to avoid a white flag. This isn't a long or particularly difficult course and I played my best round ever here but I would still absolutely recommend it as a good value for being fun to play, friendly staff, and no crowding.

Had this policy been clearly communicated, I never would have wasted my time driving there. The entire experience felt less like they were enforcing an established rule and more like they simply didn't want the inconvenience of checking us in and accommodating customers. The staff showed little interest in finding a solution or even acknowledging the lack of transparency regarding their policies. If you're planning a visit with your family, be aware that you may be turned away without warning. Businesses have every right to set their own policies, but they also have a responsibility to clearly communicate them. Unfortunately, that was not the case here, and it resulted in a disappointing and frustrating experience.

Within an hour an a half, I walked out of Palos Golf with a new set of men's senior clubs that we chose after I tried several different women's and then men's clubs, finding the perfect set and receiving a mini lesson that straightened out my ball instantaneously! I was able to take out of the set, any clubs I didn't need. Same prices or better than any stores I went to or looked at. All WITH the time and effort to get me into the right set of clubs. This is a nice course in the Forest Preserve group. The design is good and provides a challenge but…read moreconditions are spotty. Several tee boxes were completely torn up and the water drainage is not good. There is a project to re-do bunkers going on and the new ones are in excellent shape while the old is effectively ground under repair. Every hole has ball washers and towels though they're clearly for the back tees because there is so much separation in tee boxes. Some cart paths are rough but it's not a broad issue. The staff are decently nice but the starter/ranger (doing double duty) knocks the rating down. The beverage cart seemed to end early as it wasn't seen after the front nine for a 2pm tee time. Pace should be managed better as there were multiple backups of 10+ min sitting and doing nothing. Clubhouse has a pretty good selection of food and prices are reasonable. $7 for a deli sandwich, $5 PB&J, etc. Carts don't have GPS but does have a card with 6 pin positions for every hole that is very informative. I hope the carts are upgraded to eliminate tears and cigarette burns in the seats at some point. The course is visually appealing and presents a good challenge. It's a good value at $62 for a weekend afternoon but could be improved in some aspects. It's worth playing.
