We had tried to find someone to help us with our kitchen and flooring updates and were about at our wits' end due to runarounds, misinformation and no one really having a 'solution' to what we were trying to accomplish. Randomly, I asked my wife to lets just walk into Flooring kitchen and bath to see, what did we have to lose, at this point we weren't getting anywhere anyway so lets see if they can help us at all. Upon walking into the storefront, we were greeted by Bita who asked how she could help. We explained our tastes and what we were looking to do with new counters, backsplash and flooring. Within 15minutes we had selected a countertop motif, paired it with new tile backsplash and matched it with new solid surface floor options to consider. We appreciated the input from Bita on what to do and what not to do based on our desired color targets and how we needed it all to match with painting that would occur soon after. We agreed on this style, agreed on a time to meet at our house to measure for estimates and go from there. She did give us some verbal estimates which seemed inline, but the measuring would confirm it! As planned, Bita showed up and reviewed the scope of our effort, saw the space and made some additional recommendations as well. She set off and within a few days, we had a full proposal in our email inbox including some of the options we had discussed in-person. The pricing was good and the timing for the crews to work was as well. We got started on our project and other than a surprise plumbing issue that we couldn't have foreseen and some small issues removing old tile, all of the work and the updates were completed on time and on budget! I do recommend Bita and the team to others. Was everything perfect? Not really, construction in your home is tiring (especially while working at home during COVID) but the crews did the very best cleaning up everyday and minimized disruptions to our family and pets while they were there. Very happy with the flooring and the countertops, but I must say that the 2-man crew that did our tile work were artists! Not a single piece of our tile is misaligned or anything other than perfect. Amazing! Will find some photos to post of the finished product, wish I would have taken more photos of the 'before' because its a major difference! read more

I met with Bita for in her showroom regarding my kitchen remodel. She briefly explained my cabinet options and pushed heavily for the imported cabinets insisting that I didn't need anything fancy to get the kitchen I wanted. I wasn't sold on the idea of imported cabinets, but I knew she had other lines so I could move up. She gave me a rough estimate and everything sounded great so we moved on to the in home consultation, measuring, and final estimate. Well, turns out everything we wanted wasn't available with imported cabinets - they came with zero bells and whistles and the sizing was way to limiting. They actually felt like a huge downgrade compared to the cabinets we already have. What shocked me the most was that even though we said he didn't like what these cabinets offered she never once suggested moving to something different. It felt like she wasn't hearing us and just wanted to make it as cheap as possible. We definitely have the budget for the more expensive cabinets, the bells and whistles, and the sizing we wanted. read more

In June, we purchased a new home and wanted to get carpet installed upstairs before we moved in. We were initially told they could get the carpet in about a week (or up to 2) so we could get it installed before moving in. Great!! First delivery ended up taking 2 weeks, so it arrived after we moved in. Oh well, they did say up to 2 weeks, and we get it, the carpet is coming from east coast, so okay, we will manage. Little did we know this was just the beginning of a 2 month process to get our carpet installed.... Install day #1: The contractor arrives on the day of install. Everything seems to be going fine until... part way through they come tell my husband, we don't have enough carpet to finish your master bedroom. As it turns out, on the day of the consultation and measurement, they measured incorrectly and so did not order enough carpet for our bedroom. THEY MEASURED WRONG. I don't even know what else to say to that. The old adage "measure twice, cut once" must be unknown here. So, they try to stretch what they have, a seam is in a place it wasn't supposed to be in the middle of the room... Of course we call to complain and they apologize and say they'll order more carpet and fix it... We question about whether they will redo the whole room or just the strip, because the seam is in the wrong place and we're worried about the color not matching... We're told just not to worry, they will fix it.... okay.... 2 weeks later.... Install day #2: They return, and are very late. Original appointment time was 9-10AM, and they arrive around 11:30AM. They arrive with just enough carpet to fill in the small area they missed the first time in the master bedroom. They're not going to fix the incorrectly placed seam. And worst of all, the color of new carpet strip DOESN'T MATCH the rest of the carpet in the room. Just like we had worried about. No way, that's not acceptable. We call again to tell them this is unacceptable. So they have to take a few days to talk internally and discuss with the manufacturer and look at pictures etc, before they finally decided that yes, you're right, it doesn't match... and again, order more carpet. 2 more weeks later.... Install day #3 we're furiously hoping this will be the last time we have to deal with them and that finally the install will be completed properly. Finally, they redo the whole room, seams in the proper place, carpet not stretched to try and maximize too little material, and everything finally matches. A day later we did discover an uncut seam that could have pulled up if we hadn't cut it, but at this point, we're not too worried about that. So all in all, 2 months later... In the meantime we have been on hold for moving into our upstairs bedroom because we were waiting for all this to get resolved before moving our furniture up there. And after all this, they asked we pay full price. Instead of apologizing, they rather tried to tell us, "well, we fixed it so it's no big deal, and the 2nd time was not our fault the color didn't match". Sorry, but if you had measured correctly the first time, none of this would have been an issue. And don't forget you've wasted our valuable time with 2 months of waiting and 3 separate installation days for what should have been a 1 day install. We've had a truly a terrible experience with this place trying to get carpet installed. My recommendation is to save your time and energy and steer clear. read more

I am finally sitting down and taking the necessary time due to write a review for this awesome company. I am so pleased with the work that they did and would recommend them highly. Even during these crazy times, they were able to address my concerns by wearing masks and taking precautions and were courteous and professional throughout the project. They were able to complete the project as planned in the timeframe discussed and stay on budget! They were always responsive in getting back to me right away and never made me feel that any changes or corrections I made were out of line. If I felt that the cabinet was not lined up completely with the one next to it ( if only by a millimeter) they never rolled their eyes but agreed and made the changes no problem. They were responsive and accessible from the beginning and came to the house several times prior to starting the project to make sure everything would go right. They also made recommendations as to what they thought would be best and what wouldn't work as well. Bita was wonderful in ordering everything and working with us. We were in constant communication with quick texts back and forth. Frank was the coordinator and he kept us informed and on track with the schedule. He was very easy to work with. Does the tile look fantastic? Yes. But my experience was far from ideal. My goal was to install porcelain wood tile throughout my house. We set up a time for an in-home consultation so that we could do the proper measurements of the house, and see what some of the samples looked like in the house. All great and good, left work early to meet with the Dana the designer. 15 minutes late - ok, traffic, totally get it, 30 minutes - no phone call, wondering what happened, 45 minutes and no phone call or texts? Almost an hour past when the appointment was set for a get a phone call that Dana had just finished with another client and was still quite far from my house. If I am going to do business with someone, let alone drop 20-50k, it is just common courtesy to call or text someone that you are running late. Life happens, I get it, but to just leave someone in the dark, this is not the way to do business. There are many fantastic tile and floor companies out there, this is not one of them. Save your money and go to a place that actually cares about your business. read more

As with many people, in my 30 plus years of home ownership, I have had very bad general contractors with incompetent workers and very good contractors with skilled workers. I can now add "excellent" to that range. FKBD simply did an outstanding job with our master bathroom remodel. From design to finish product, Dawn, Sam, and their team of trades people were highly professional and meticulous in detail. Even when we made a few changes to the initial design, they were readily incorporated into the job. Our shower with its multiple shower heads and the toilet are both digital in operation, which might have been an installation problem for most plumbers. For Marco and his plumbing team, however, installation was efficient and accurate. The same is true for the vanity and faucets, both of which had very tight clearances, but were installed by Jesse and his team perfectly.
