I requested service for my out of warranty LG refrigerator in door water dispenser. The lever has been a chronic issue, sticking and not turning off, requiring the lock feature to prevent a flood. The light will not turn off with the dispenser lock on, so it is like beacon in the kitchen and annoying. I paid LG to send a service person out last year at a high cost. No parts were replaced and there was no explanation. Now, despite not using the water dispenser at all, it started to seep water on it's own. This time, I found Fixkot on Yelp. Eugene was available at the time we needed and arrived on time. He was able to diagnose the issue, which was a corroded screw holding the plastic lever in place. The screw was frozen and he was not able to remove it. However, he did show us how the lever worked and explained that the condensation was creating the environment for the part to rust, which unfortunately caused the lever to stay in the "on" position despite the rapid tapping technique suggested by LG to release the lever. My husband and I really appreciated the time he spent educating us. While this was only a temporary fix, it was half the cost of what LG charged. Ultimately, that part needs to be replaced. If we can source the part, we would definitely have Eugene come out to replace it. read more

FIXKOT for the win!!! We were desperate as our 4 yr old heaaavily used Speed Queen dryer went out 3 days before we left for a week long vacation. Called FIXKOT and he had an appointment right away, had to return for some parts which were reasonably priced. He was prompt, friendly, and really thorough in the repair. The dryer needed a replacement of belts and some misc items as it was screeching like a pig when it ran.
