On-time, had the parts, and fixed my dryer in hour. Couldn't ask for anything else. Thank you!

Eugene diagnosed what was going on with a refrigerator at a rental property and gave me candid advice on repairs and replacement. He was able to fix the issues for much less than having to replace it. I would call him again. read more

Fix Kot Appliance Service has been outstanding. They've visited us on two separate occasions, and both times they were timely, professional, and even willing to work after normal business hours when needed. They really know what they're doing and their pricing is very fair. The first time we called them, it was actually as a second opinion after GE/Bodewell Appliance Service couldn't diagnose the issue. Fixkot figured out the problem almost immediately, ordered the necessary part, and had our washing machine up and running shortly after. Most recently, they helped us with our GE fridge, they were willing to come out the same day, but we scheduled for the next day and they fixed it quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend Fixkot! They are knowledgeable, reliable, and easy to work with. We'll definitely call them again for any future appliance issues. read more

Fixkot is outstanding. Knowledgeable, efficient, and honest. I called for an LG freezer part replacement and he got my freezer working again. He also recognized another part that needed to be replaced to ensure my freezer was working perfectly and to avoid future potential issues, and offered to come back to replace it with no additional services charge. My new go to for appliance repair. read more

So glad that I found a honest and reliable repair business owner. My washer was having a mysterious water leak, neither my husband and my FIL could figure out what might be causing it. I called Eugene on 07/02 around dinner time and booked a time on 07/05. Not only did he found the issue after roughly 25min, he also never pushed for expensive replacement. He saved us money by offering a simple fix, but we know what to do and who to look for if the washer started having more problems. The price is more than reasonable This is how a honest business owner grow client network, not by pushing for expensive services but simply offering values and honest services! Will be recommending him to friends we know too read more

Support this small business. Eugene was responsive, polite, professional, and transparent. He was able to schedule a next day appt and arrived within his quoted window. Eugene used LG original parts to repair my washer. I was provided quality service at a low price that includes a warranty longer than what others out there are offering. Support this one-man show that takes pride in his business. read more

I had a great experience with Fix Kot! My dryer randomly stopped working, and I was worried it would take days to get it fixed. Thankfully, he was able to schedule a same-day appointment, which was such a relief. He arrived on time, provided a clear ETA beforehand, and was very professional throughout the entire process. He quickly diagnosed the issue, explained the solution, and offered a very reasonable price. Best of all, he got our dryer back up and running that same day! If you're looking for someone reliable, responsive, and fair, I highly recommend Fix Kot. I wouldn't hesitate to call again if I ever need appliance repairs in the future. read more

I requested service for my out of warranty LG refrigerator in door water dispenser. The lever has been a chronic issue, sticking and not turning off, requiring the lock feature to prevent a flood. The light will not turn off with the dispenser lock on, so it is like beacon in the kitchen and annoying. I paid LG to send a service person out last year at a high cost. No parts were replaced and there was no explanation. Now, despite not using the water dispenser at all, it started to seep water on it's own. This time, I found Fixkot on Yelp. Eugene was available at the time we needed and arrived on time. He was able to diagnose the issue, which was a corroded screw holding the plastic lever in place. The screw was frozen and he was not able to remove it. However, he did show us how the lever worked and explained that the condensation was creating the environment for the part to rust, which unfortunately caused the lever to stay in the "on" position despite the rapid tapping technique suggested by LG to release the lever. My husband and I really appreciated the time he spent educating us. While this was only a temporary fix, it was half the cost of what LG charged. Ultimately, that part needs to be replaced. If we can source the part, we would definitely have Eugene come out to replace it. read more

FixKot is highly recommended for your appliance repair needs. We had the water line break on our LG Refrigerator. It was late in the day when we began to call around to see if we could get the repair done before a gathering at our house the next evening. FixKot's owner, Eugene, said he could come out within the hour. He arrived as promised and replaced the line which had broken off inside the unit. He was able to replace it, re-route the new line, and had the line up and running in less than an hour. His rate was far more reasonable than I expected for a short notice repair. He was very positive, easy-going and tackled the problem quickly. He even cleaned up the vents around the coils and swept up the dust that had accumulated around them. All in all, we were more than satisfied with the result and expect to be regular customers for all our future appliance repair needs. We've lived in this area for over 20 years and we never had such a quick response from a repair man. He didn't try to sell us anything or make the repair more than what it was. Don't waste your time calling any other repair service. If you want the job done right at a reasonable price with no nonsense, call FixKot. read more

I reached out for quotes on Yelp after dinner when I realized my washer wasn't draining. Eugene responded right away with pricing. His quote was extremely fair. He was at my house at 745 the next morning and was able to immediately diagnose the issue. Other repair people that Yelp had put me in touch with told me it was likely the control board. It was not. Eugene ordered the part. It arrived the next day and he had it installed by 2. Fantastic service. read more

Eugene is amazing! He fixed my Viking oven with ease & confidence with a high concern for a fast timeline. He is very honest, reliable & trustworthy. He had to order a new control panel to fix it, confirmed the price was ok with me before ordering it & we scheduled a second visit for the final repair with the new part as soon as it was delivered. My oven is like new again! After the job was complete he even explained to me why the old control panel had gone bad (so I could possibly prevent the problem in the future). 5 stars all around. Rejected Maytag washer repair because did not want to travel to Chula Vista. Do not believe his representation of what areas he covers. He may do good work but he misrepresents what areas he covers. Don't bother contacting him if you want him to work in South San Diego County. He texted me he is in Carlsbad and it is too far for him to travel to do work in Chula Vista. I asked him to delete any representation showing his coverage area includes South County. Let's see if he does it. Check his service area on Yelp. read more

Excellent Service! I contacted Eugene and he showed up within a few hours on the same day. Based on my description of the problem he quickly diagnosed the issue and demonstrated to me "why" that was the problem. He didn't have the part on his truck but said he could have it the next day. About 30 minutes after leaving he called back and said he was able to locate the part and wanted to return to complete the job. The price was fair and and the service was top notch. Fixkot was able to come out the same day when the spin cycle stopped working on our 15 year old washer. Lo and behold, it was working when he tested it , but since he came out he took the time to show us the overall condition of the washer, evidence of leaks which would need repair soon and the recommendation of replacement vs repair. Honest and helpful. Thank you! read more

FIXKOT for the win!!! We were desperate as our 4 yr old heaaavily used Speed Queen dryer went out 3 days before we left for a week long vacation. Called FIXKOT and he had an appointment right away, had to return for some parts which were reasonably priced. He was prompt, friendly, and really thorough in the repair. The dryer needed a replacement of belts and some misc items as it was screeching like a pig when it ran. He took it apart, cleaned all the lint and dog hair (yipes!) and put it all back together clean and quiet. He fixed it 100%. We will use FIXKOT for all of our repairs moving forward and love supporting a local family owned business. Excellent service and we are so grateful! read more

Very pleased. Great service at a fair price. Arrived on time and communicated politely and clearly while troubleshooting our Sub-Zero drawer freezer. The technician checked the components and determined the freezer was improperly overfilled with too much refrigerant by a prior service person (Sub-Zero is finicky and doesn't like that). Once calibrated to the correct amount it works great! We will definitely call FIXKOT again if we need appliance help. read more

This man is a class act! Made the mistake of buying a refrigerator off Facebook market that did not work after one day. Eugene was who I ended up going with to try to diagnose the problem. He was communicative, punctual, and most importantly, honest about what was going on with the refrigerator. In short, the refrigerator had too many problems to justify repairing it. I can't say enough about Eugene's honesty, and his expertise. He was kind enough to educate me very thoroughly in regards to the anatomy of the refrigerator, what wasn't working, what would need to be fixed, and why. He also was incredibly helpful in recommending potential replacement brands for both the refrigerator and other appliances. I would hire him again in a heartbeat! Highly recommended! read more
