Jose was incredibly kind on the phone and said he could help, even though he was about to leave for the day. He told me I could swing by, and he would take care of it--and even offered to install it for free. When I arrived, I was greeted by his wife, Jacqueline, who was very friendly and welcoming. Jose quickly got to work and installed the mirror efficiently. He was very thorough and made sure everything was working properly, even having me test the mirror in all directions before I left. Manuel is proof there is still good in the world today! I took my car and back wheel cover in for some minor scuffs and scratches. I was fully prepared for this to take hours and cost at least a few hundred dollars. Manuel was waiting in the driveway when I pulled up. 20 minutes later he buffed and applied touch up paint to all the trouble spots at no charge. I seeked out Fixit auto body via Yelp when my car was scratched in a minor accident. I decided on a whim to just stop by and ask for a quote to fix it. I was happily greeted by Manuel who took a look at the scratches and assured me it would come right off. He decided not to charge me as they were all mostly surface level scratches. I called Fixit Auto Body because I needed a shop with a plastic welder to repair a broken bumper tab on my BMW. Manuel answered the phone and was extremely knowledgable about my issue so I brought my car in the next day. The repair was done in 15 minutes asides from the time it took me to remove my bumper. The weld came out immaculate and I don't use that word lightly, for I am beyond meticulous when it comes to my car. The tricky part was getting the hole drilled in the correct area to align with the bumper, but Manuel was eager to have it done and flawlessly finished it. Manuel and Jose are wonderful people. They helped me immensely even though I did not get work done in their shop. I took out my car from San Francisco Airport after parking there for a few days and started driving home, before realizing that the tire was flat. It was after 7pm, raining and getting dark, I tried to pump some air in two gas stations but air wouldn't go in, and that tells me it was some significant damage. I slowly drove around the area where many car repair businesses were located, most of which were closed, and I just happened to see Manuel's shop open, so I went to ask if they could help. They quickly saw that there was a big hole in the tire, making it not drivable, but since they don't to tire work, they couldn't fix it at the moment. However, Manuel and Jose offered to keep my car in their garage overnight so it's safe, and early next morning they would bring it to the next door tire shop, and they wouldn't charge me for doing that work. I appreciate their help very much, had my wife pick me up, and next morning the tire shop connected with me directly and took care of the repair. Even though I didn't get work done at Fixit Auto Body, they gave me a tour while I was waiting, and they do nice work both from insurance damage repair to higher end vintage car restoration, and I would recommend this business wholeheartedly.
