She was so rude that I never even stepped foot into the humane society and instead found a guinea pig rescue in South Carolina which found a piggy friend for my lonely little pig. I understand that they're jaded because of all the surrenders and bad pet owners, but treating me like that was absolutely uncalled for and very unprofessional.

I was asking for this company to have a better process for handling and caring for the animals they have in store. Of course that's not any of their concern. 1000% reporting this business. Update after owners response: I reached out like Liz suggested in the response to my review it's 8/27/26 & have yet to hear back from anyone. Not sure if the response was to make it seem like they helped but for the record... They have done nothing. I purchased three rabbits from Pet Supermarket on Abercorn Street in Savannah within approximately one week. The first rabbit I purchased was extremely thin and underweight. Three days after I brought the rabbit home, it died. The rabbit was examined by a veterinarian and diagnosed with coccidia. Four days after my first purchase, I purchased two additional rabbits from the same location. These rabbits came into the store in a different shipment from the first rabbit. I was told they had been checked and were healthy. Both were subsequently examined by my veterinarian and were also diagnosed with coccidia. After confirming the diagnosis, my veterinarian recommended that I immediately notify the store so the other rabbits could be addressed and the enclosures properly disinfected due to the potential for continued exposure. I contacted the Savannah location and spoke with the manager, Amanda. I explained that three rabbits purchased within approximately one week, from different shipments, had all been diagnosed with coccidia and that one had already died. Her response regarding the enclosures was that they clean the cages every day. The purchase price I paid for the rabbits was refunded, which I want to acknowledge. However, a refund of the purchase price does not account for the veterinary bills, housing, food, supplies and other expenses incurred caring for sick animals. More importantly, these are living creatures. They deserve appropriate care regardless of their purchase price. When multiple rabbits from different shipments within such a short period are diagnosed with the same parasite, I believe the pattern itself warrants serious attention and appropriate steps to determine the source, address potentially exposed animals and prevent additional sick rabbits from being sold. I have receipts documenting the purchase dates, along with veterinary records and bills documenting the diagnoses and treatment. I am sharing this review to document my experience and the facts surrounding these purchases. My primary concern is not the refund. It is the health and welfare of the rabbits still in the store and ensuring that a repeated pattern of illness is appropriately addressed. (Note the carrier with the 2 rabbits that carrier is their traveling cage. They had an entire room dedicated to them.)

They tell you, you have to pay a $10 application fee, again okay. Until you submit your application and the fee really becomes a "donation" to their business through PayPal so they don't have to report is on taxes. Okay no problem move on past that "fishy".... The post clearly says "you must be willing to travel to Savannah, GA to pick up your pet". Then after several days of waiting they post they are only adopting to GA residents. Okay enough. When I commented pics of their website policy and their post on their Facebook stating that was false information, they blocked me. This company is clearly using innocent animals as a scam to get people to donate money to their "businesses " (if that what's you even want to call it at this point). Their online policy quotes "We adopt in our home state of Georgia, certain areas of FL, and all along the east coast. Approved adopters in GA, FL, SC, and NC would need to drive to one our mobile events and pick up their new pet. All other areas in our adoption zone would require a paid transport and this fee would be in addition to our adoption fee." So basically they STOLE SEVERAL DONATIONS, then continually changed the post, so most of the applicants never even qualified to begin with, but it was unbeknown to them when applying. I have screen shots of every change they made to prove it.

SIGN THIS CAT MAMA UP! They team up with the local humane society and have kittens on site to be played with and hopefully adopted! We don't live in the area, and also already have two cats at home - so we just wanted to support and PLAY! The cat cafe itself was so cute and you can tell that the cats were so well taken care of and spoiled! The room with the kittens was FILLED with fun toys and towers and shelves - it was the perfect cat room!! I fell in love with all the kitties and really enjoyed just playing with them! The reservation included a non-alcoholic drink and an hour of play time. I wish I could've taken them home, but at least they got a lot of love!!!! If you're in the Savannah area, definitely pay them a visit and support a local business and shelter! And if you're looking for a cute kitty - they got them!!!

Typically, when I have been at other shelters or humane societies, the dogs seem to be very on edge, with a bark that is vying for attention. My dog suffers from a severe of case separation anxiety (unprofessionally diagnosed by yours truly) and the staff at HHHA really worked hard to pick a proper pal for my dog. My inclination was to get a dog of similar size and breed and a male, as opposed to another female. These ideas were echoed with approval from my Vet and the dog behavioral specialist that I use. I just felt some of the other animal adoption locations were really more interested in getting a dog adopted, which I totally understand and focused less on the proper match. This is a crucial issue as my dog is a big time Alpha female and has a very aggressive playing style. {This can be viewed on her Youtube channel-just search Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pitt) The workers at HHHA encouraged me to not have tunnel vision regarding what my thoughts were, in relation to breed, gender and age. Each time I stopped by, they assisted and encouraged me to make use of the fenced in greeting area, where the dogs could spend time to get to check each other out To date I have not found the right fit, so the search continues. There was a a little wiener dog (German Daschund named Ruby) that Sydney really took a liking to and we went back to visit many times, but Ruby was about 10 pounds Max & was seemingly always under toe. My dog is a 95 pound, all muscle, exceptional klutz. This review will be updated once the new addition to the family is added, fortunately the location the adoption will take place is already settled. Clean, stress free, Very Professional and work simultaneously on behalf of the dogs and the potential owners.
