So I requested quotes from two AM Standard dealers and AirMax came in significantly less.

Preferred Home Services - Loy installed a Halo water conditioning system so it keeps scale from building up in my tankless water heater.

Oftentimes, despite the most proactive plans, things go awry. Being in the low country, it can get…read moreuncomfortably humid and hot. Yesterday morning, I woke to an very heated home on a 90+ degree day. I called around, read reviews, and came across Preferred. From customer service to dispatch to service technician....EVERYONE was above exemplary in their approach to my concerns. Josh, was the service technician that served the moment. He took care to inform of foreseeable concerns, but admitted that even through his diagnostics couldn't narrow what triggered my issue. What could've been a very expensive call was minimally fiscally conservative in its service charge. The system was running again very shortly. And this morning, I rose to the comfort I have grown accustomed. PREFERRED is now my preferred HVAC/plumbing go to and I elected their PPP maintenance option. I'm looking onward to our working together,as I feel that they will remain honest, caring, and proactive in their service and commitment. Thank you

Member price for low price toilet and valve and work: low of $957 and high of $1538. I am not the brightest but that seemed like a ripoff. Ordered toilet and valve from Amazon for $255 and installation will be around $200. Preferred has done work for me in the past but now it makes me wonder how much I have overpaid.

Hero should rebrand to zero. Requested services for a non- working AC on May 13th. Their response…read moretime according to Yelp is 3 hours. They finally ask me today, June 2nd, if I still need their help and apologized for the delay. Delay? Listen, there are more than one HVAC services available in the low country, and I've used several that responded within an hour of request, and once hired were begging to be used again if I ever needed assistance. Customer service is non-existent here, and if that's indicative of their company, go elsewhere.

After numerous years of solid service and communication, I had an experience with Hero that…read morenecessitated that I find an alternative HVAC company. In brief, a tech diagnosed a system issue, recommended replacement, and a quote was provided ($14-$18k for a new system). I brought in another vendor for a quote and they indicated that I did NOT need a new system at this time and the issue may be related to a leak in the lines (that can't easily be detected). Alternatively, the other vendor suggested a chemical be injected into the lines which acts a sealant. I then contacted Hero professionally asking them to contact me to discuss this alternative and to hear their thoughts around why a new system is the right decision; they did NOT reply back to 2 messages over a 10 day period. After I called and left a voice message, the manager did professionally call and apologize for the lack of responsiveness. Punchline - At a cost of $300, 3 months later, my system is still running flawlessly...there is more life in the system.
