We had two different repairs done by two different service reps, and both of them were wonderful! I needed three blinds repaired, another blind inspected, and a smoke detector installed. Both reps were quick, professional, and knew exactly what they were doing. They also cleaned up after themselves and even went the extra mile to fill in any holes in the walls that were made during the repairs, which I really appreciated. Definitely recommend them. One helpful tip: if you need a service rep who speaks English fluently, especially if you have a repair that requires a lot of explaining, just mention that when making your appointment. They were able to assign the right person for us, which made everything super easy! read more

Not only do my husband and I recommend Fix Brothers for others, the real endorsement is that we would and will 100% use them again ourselves. After soliciting quotes from three yelp businesses (all with great reviews), we went with Fix Brothers -- even though they weren't necessarily the cheapest of the bids -- due to their strong communication and thorough scope detailing. That's a big one for us. We've had to deal with many vendors after a water intrusion incident in our condo and communication was always a real pain point. Mia (the person who helped us get all set up) was always quick to respond when we had a question or issue via Yelp. Fix Brothers from top to bottom really do seem like genuine, kind people just wanting to do a great job. Alex was the tradesperson (is that the right word?) who did the majority of the work, though Anatoly helped him at one point. Alex was fantastic! Again, just a professional, talented, kind human being. If I wanted something a certain way, he made it happen. If he wasn't sure how it might turn out, he expressed his concerns and pitched an alternative. It was truly collaborative. He went above and beyond making it as close to perfect as he could (a tough task in an old condo building where there isn't a single straight wall or level floor.) We had three projects needing Alex's skills (all three are pictured.) The first was a closet that had extensive damage from a much more complicated smart system that we've minimized, so the closet needed large and small drywall patching, smoothing, and priming. The second was to create a built-in bookshelf look in another area using three bookshelves we bought from Wayfair. Alex created a framing so that they filled the full space and you couldn't see a single seam from the original independent pieces. It looks like he built the full thing from scratch into an existing pocket in the wall. Exactly what we wanted. It involved removing chair rail, molding and base board cleanly so he could reuse it in the finishing, which he did perfectly. The third project was Ikea cabinets we were having installed by the Ikea-chosen installers. We learned they don't do any necessary prep or finishing, just simply put up the cabinets. So we needed Alex to remove and patch an unsued grate, take off the molding, chair rail, etc... again so that it could be reused. After the Ikea installers left, the finishing needed some serious TLC. Alex did an amazing job capping the molding, adding new shoe molding so cover the gaps in the hardwood (even staining it to match) and helping fix some of the inherent issues in the Ikea butcher block so that there wasn't a gap in the back. Seriously, he upped the polished look of a basic Ikea Sektion setup a ton with the care he took. We're thrilled with how it all turned out. Invoice came quickly and Mia was flexible with multiple options for payment in a way that was easy for us. Like I said, a great experience. read more

Thank you Fix Bros! I needed stucco repair on the exterior of my house and found Fix Bros. on Yelp. From the first call to texting photos of the areas needing repair, it was all scheduled super fast! Oleg showed up a few days later (on time) and worked on the issue. He did an excellent job and I would call Fix Bros again if/when I need any additional work done around the house. Thank you!!! read more

Fix Brothers made completing some of my small home projects a breeze! I reached out regarding a few projects I had been putting off for years, but now I can't wait to have them back out to finish up some more. First, they reattached my fireplace surround and made it look seamless with the hearth. Then they added trim to my windows and sliding glass door & added some sound dampening paneling in my laundry room. It was a whole day's work, but they made this so simple and the result is beautiful! I will definitely have them back out! Really glad to have a trusted professional that is so easy to reach. Specifically, getting quotes for projects and scheduling was very simple. Mia is very communicative and made this process even easier! read more

Excellent work and fair price. They were the first ones to respond to my request Work was completed in a timely manner.

I had Fix-It Brothers repair cracks in my concrete driveway/parking area, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. The cracks were filled cleanly and blended in well with the surrounding concrete. They were easy to work with, showed up on time, and got the job done efficiently without any hassle. The finish looks solid and much better than before. Overall, great experience--I'd definitely use them again and would recommend them for concrete work. read more

This is my second time using Fix Brothers and second time reviewing. I needed one of my bedrooms repainted. The prep needed was fairly extensive due to multiple holes and surface blemishes from the years of being occupied by a teenager. As before, the communication was timely and specific for the cost estimate both for materials and labor. I chose the specific paint brand and colors and they did the rest. The painter, Oleg, and his manager, George, arrived on Day 1on time to look at the space and confirm the paint and supplies needed. Oleg got right to work with the room and wall preparation while George went to buy all of the supplies. In addition to thoroughly covering any exposed areas and furniture, he removed every single thing which was attached to the walls, including curtain rods, hanging television, and all outlet and light switch covers. By approximately 3:30 pm, all the prep work and the primer and first paint coat were finished and needed to dry overnight. Oleg returned the following morning on time and completed the second coats, cleaning and removing all of the supplies, and re-attaching all the items to the walls in less than 4 hours. He even repaired my door stop which had been broken for years! I could not be happier with the end result. Oleg is an experienced and efficient painter, and gives great attention to detail. I did not find this surprising, as this was the same quality of work and work ethic I experienced with the first job in January performed by Alex. Thank you, again, until my next project! read more

Finding people to do great work in Los Angeles without bleeding you dry is always challenging. But using Fix Brothers has changed my view of quality work. They were clean and organized, even at the end of the day, they didn't leave a mess! They communicated extremely well with everything that was happening and were very respectful. I was on a tight deadline and they nailed it! Far exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely use them again. If you are looking for quality people you have found the best! Thank you so much! This was my second time hiring Fix It Brothers. They previously installed my patio tile, and this time they hung a mirror, curtain rods, and a picture light. The work looks great, and the final price came in nearly 40% below the quote. Fair, reliable, and easy to work with! read more

A smoke detector in my condo malfunctioned today, and the alarm started going off loudly and continuously for no apparent reason. Needless to say, it needed immediate attention -- and unfortunately, it was already the end of the day. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find anyone who could come out on such short notice, especially since I needed both new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors installed. I'm so glad I found Fix Brothers on Yelp! They responded right away, and Alex was at my condo that same evening with less than two hours' notice. He was terrific -- professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. He installed both new detectors and did an excellent job. My cat and I can now sleep peacefully tonight! Thank you so much, Alex and Fix Brothers, for the quick response and fantastic service. I truly appreciate it and would absolutely recommend them! read more

Seems to be a disconnect between the office and the techs. The office is responsive by chat and answers the phone. They were accommodating to our schedule needs. The tech arrived 2 hours late. He didn't speak English. Even after a discount, the overall price was more than having a typical retrofit company come in to install smoke detectors and water heater strapping. Company works off Zelle, no standard invoices, no payment portal. Notified me that I hadn't paid, even though I hadn't been told how to pay them, or the final amount. I hope they will use this review as constructive criticism to show what the public needs fixed. read more

I needed a room on my property taped and mudded to prepare for painting. I got other estimates and Fix Brothers offered a great price. They were able to start work the next day, worked for three successive days and finished the project. Excellent quality! The room is perfect and ready for me to paint. I even had some banking difficulties and could not transfer them the money when they asked. They were very forgiving. I will keep their number for future projects. Highest recommendation!! read more

It took a ridiculous amount of back-and-forth messages just to get this company to finish the job. They came out the first time and didn't fix the door properly because they needed to order a specific piece. We had to negotiate and reason just to get them to order the part and schedule a second visit. After all that hassle, the work is still broken. Because of how they restructured the door, it is completely misaligned and will no longer lock, creating a major security hazard. On top of that, pieces of the new seal are already falling off on day one, and there is chipped paint damage all over the frame. When I reached out, management refused to stand behind their work and told me I'd have to pay a whole separate fee for them to return. Absolutely unprofessional and no quality guarantee. Save yourself the headache. We are now hiring a different company to fix their mistakes. read more

Response was a little delayed at first, but once we got things scheduled correctly they arrived and did a great job. Great customer service! Even though it was late at night, they took the time to help me over the phone and made sure I had the guidance I needed. Service requested was door frame/jamb replaced but preserving the existing door. The estimate was quick and professional, and later, the quote was competitive and scope of work was clear. The handyman was scheduled for one week later, and his work was thorough, good quality, and he cleaned as he worked. The first day of work took longer than anticipated, but he stayed until the door was hung so as not to leave us exposed and cold! Above and beyond. I will go back to them for anything else I need from now on. read more

I needed a dishwasher removed and a new one installed. it had been in place for 25 years and everyone said it was too hard to do. not for fix brothers, it took a lot of figuring out and some muscle but our guy never stopped trying, got it out, had to cut some over hanging tile to get the new one installed but it's done, looks beautiful and was very reasonably priced. definitely give them a call for every project you need help with. Requested service to fix and move my kitchen counter. The person came 1hr late. He was waiting outside the house and never called me - he didn't have my number. Basically, they sent a random guy who doesn't know my number or about the work that needs to be done. I clearly told them one person can't do the job and that I needed 2 people. They still sent one person. He asked me to wait for another 30 mins so another guy may be able to come. But then, the company texted me saying they initially insisted on just one person. It was so frustrating and confusing, I am so done with them. Never again! Fix brothers - fix yourself first. read more

Great service. Great price. Came within 2 hours of calling. The front desk manager and on site worker were great.

We had a wonderful experience with Fix Brothers! My mom had a post on her front porch that needed replacing and everyone was professional, friendly and so quick and accommodating. The price that was quoted was exactly what we paid and they were able to complete the project in one day. They gave us a 2 hour window, and they showed up within 15 minutes of the start of the window! They do wonderful work and were so lovely to my mom. I had a fantastic experience using the Fix Brothers. I contacted them initially via email for a quote and I had an extremely thorough quote in about 24hrs. After the quote the project manager answered all my questions exceedingly fast and when I was ready their technician came out literally the same day for a site visit and started immediately. The technician was fast, knowledgeable, answered all my questions and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day and at the completion of the two projects. The pricing was competitive and the value of the work was very good. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fast reliable handyman who will get the job done right and exactly the way you requested it. Five stars all around. read more
