Skipping all the unlucky details, Chris and Joe at Longman's Collision Centre treated us and our 2 cars more like family than the professionals they are! While we had to get multiple estimates and deal with the other parties etc. Chris at the front office was empathetic to our situation and made sure all our concerns were addressed and met. The waiting area was really nice and clean ... with that I though it would $$$$. I waited at the mall to kill time and snack. They kept in touch with me with the issues at a timely matter and told me the problem and what part is needed. Gave options on what is needed and gave me a first choice of cost effective way and went with that. Gave me time once part came in (took almost end of day for delivery) and once in they worked on it right away. Issue fixed and it was not expecting it to be less than what I thought it was gonna be. Shortly after, I noticed that the interior compartment between the driver side window and dashboard wasn't re-installed properly. I also noticed my 128 GB SD card reader has gone missing. So not only did I have to pay another mechanic to fix the interior issue ($230), I now have to deal them stealing the SD card reader from my vehicle. When I went to pick it up they had me pick it up from the nearby Enterprise as they were closed on Saturdays. When I picked it up I noticed that they had actually given it back to me with more damage! They initially denied that they had done the damage but after a month long back and forth with this collision centre, the insurance company that referred me here (State Farm), and the Enterprise that I had picked up the car from. All evidence very clearly pointed to Fine Line having done the damage. State Farm refused to drop them as a partner even though I'm not the only one Fine Line has done this to. Finally, Fine Line called me to offer me a small discount on the damage they produced! I had requested many times for the owner to call me, which never happened, but instead I was only able to make contact with the person who claims he "Inspected" my car. (I'm sure there was no bias though) The damage was directly near the rear bumper and the taillight (which I later found they had removed, both that bumper and the taillight) Visiting this place is like taking a jackhammer to your car, except they take up more of your time and more of your money. Bring your car to Fine line and neither you nor your car will ever see the finish line...

I took a picture of the bumper and emailed that to a few auto shops to get a quote. My usual ones quote me over $400 and said will be even more.. while most other quoted me around $320..So now it is time to try another body shop. The owner of this auto shop repairs car himself too... The place looks decent and he sounded honest and I decided to give him a try out of all the body shop lining up the area in bullock/laidlaw/heritage. The car got fixed on time (even before the time he promised), looks like new, car was washed, price as promised... I am so happy driving my own car again without trying to get rides from my friends! I hope I never going to a body shop again! But if I do need, I will definitely take it back to the same body shop...
